CAG PSN Gamesharing #2 - Find/Create a Gameshare Group & Gameshare FAQ

Status
Not open for further replies.
Well after a good year of longterm gamesharing from my group someone pulled a coups d'état on the group. Changed account email, password and made a bunch of purchases from the fund on account. If someone with email bobs0245@gmail or similar inquire about joining your group please be caution. I do not know who that email belong to in my group but my group has these members:

- luan87us
- mis0
- dan3067 (has not reply to any group message for awhile)
- AXV1
- pat87

You guys might want to be a little caution against those members. I am suspecting dan3067 as he has not reply to any group message in the long time but I have no proof and all other members can be just as suspicious but AAAXV1 and pat87 and myself just recently added funds on the account so I doubt it could be either one of us. Mis0 is a respectable member of this forum with high trading record and he was actually the one to inform me the account password has been changed because he was trying to add fund to the account as he claimed. All leave dan3067 as the most suspicious. Take action if he is in your group. If dan3067 thinks he's innocent he can confront me. As of right now I found him guilty of charge until further notification.
sony can find out which ps3 spent the money and will ban them hands down

I'm conflicted here. I keep hearing that you can only have 16 accounts on the ps3. Does that mean we are limited in gameshares? Can anyone confirm this?
sony can find out which ps3 spent the money and will ban them hands down
Meh It is definitely one of us and biggest suspicious is dan3067 as all other members have replied to me about the situation and 2 of them happened to have their ps3 YOLD since last month. I don't want to stir up trouble with sony as I got the account back. I just hope whoever did this enjoy it while they can because if they gave away their dignity for something of this small scale I doubt they'll ever archive anything in their life. Thanks for the suggestion though.

That's correct. You can only have 16 accounts/gameshares per PS3 system. That's why some people (including myself) are in long term groups with four other people. That way you get a ton of games on one account and can use your other accounts/gameshares for games that your long term group might not specifically want...or for games you might just want for a while and can then try to sell to get your money back later.

Thanks for the info aaronmills.

Currently in a longterm share, but I've been going crazy with some other group shares. Gotta tone it down a bit.

This happened to a share I was in recently and the original host who set up all the accounts was somehow able to recover it, I'm not sure how he did it though.

Looking for either Borderlands or Fallout DLC or Castle Crashers, more is welcomed.

Does anyone here know if Medal of Honor's online pass thing is sharable? I noticed it is on the PS Store and the code included with my copy has the normal XXXX-XXXX-XXXX format.

My guess is that it is, but I share all my games with my brother who uses his own PS3, and after dealing with Battlefield's VIP code which wasn't sharable and arguing with EA's customer support over it, I just want to make sure it's possible to share MOH's pass.

I don't care, if 5 people (not including me) can agree on $20 worth of stuff then I will purchase it and give out the account info to everyone. I'm not planning to keep a share, I just want to sell the account and turn it into Paypal cash.

Anybody ever have problems adding funds to your psn wallet? I offered to host a gameshare. When I went to add funds to the account to purchase the game, I was able to add $10 no problem. I then went to add an additional $5 (credits aren't sold in $15 increments, go figure) and it wouldn't accept it. I've tried 4 different credit cards, all with well over the $5 amount I'm trying to charge. I've also tried different ways of typing my address in the billing info, still no luck. After 5 tries or something, Sony locks you out for 24 hours. I've now been locked out for 2 consecutive 24 hour periods!

I think there's been a bit of an ongoing issue with adding funds. I know I've had the same problem and looking online others have to. I don't know if Sony has ever mentioned why or when it will be fixed, but it's definately not just you.

This is soooooo frustrating. I will never purchase anything from the PSN again.

No worries to my Costume Quest gameshare group. I'm not going to sit on my hands on this. I've been in touch with Sony several times in the last 36 hours and keep getting the same useless responses like "buy a $20 psn card at Best Buy and you won't have any issues" (well, I only need $5), and "you must have typed something wrong, wait 24 hours and make sure your billing info matches what's on your bank statement" (if i was typing something wrong, why did it accept my $10 payment?) My next call will yield some results no matter who I have to cuss out over there.

I'm thinking maybe you should put those song lists under a spoiler, because it's getting a little annoying having to scroll through it x amount of times a day. :bouncy:

There's an easy trick to adding whatever amount you want. Put random stuff in your cart til it totals the amount you need to transfer from your funding source. Go through the process of adding the funds (must be $5 minimum,) then don't buy the content. Now you have the money in there to do whatever you want with it. Not sure if this will help in your situation but I think it might and sorry if I misunderstood your problem.
That seemed like a great idea, but no luck. I even created a whole new account, used a different credit card with the highest limit on it, and copied and pasted my billing info straight from an online bank statement. Still nothing. WHAT A fuckING JOKE SONY!!!!!! I've never had this much trouble giving ANYBODY money

What exactly is the error it's giving you, and what exactly are you trying to do? Not in that order.

I'm just trying to buy Costume Quest for a gameshare group I'm in. At first I tried adding funds to the PSN wallet from my computer. It took a payment of $10, then wouldn't let me add any more (the game is $14.99). I got a "funds could not be added to your wallet" error message. I tried a different CC. I tried typing my address different, because apparently whatever prehistoric verification process Sony uses is very nit-picky about that. After 5 failed attempts, they lock your account for 24 hours. I waited 24 hours, and tried more combinations of cards and addresses only to get locked out again. I've called my bank...checked my limits...everything is good on my end. Sony's only responses are that I can but a $20 PSN card or that I'm typing something wrong. If I was typing something wrong, how did $10 go through. I played hell getting Sony to refund me that $10. It took about 6 calls, the last being directly to their HQ in Foster City, CA.

So there I was, right back where I started. I decided to start over with a new, unblocked account. This time I used your method which I didn't know you could do. I don't think that was an option last time I purchased something in the PSN, but that was back in 2008. Anyways, I entered my billing info, checked automatic funding or whatever and just went straight to the PSN store, added the game to my cart and clicked purchase. Still nothing. Just a vague error message there.
Selling 4 Dead Space ignition shares $.75 q piece paypal.
Okay, since you are trying to undercut me, I will take away your future sales like this guy did to me.
You do know that Dead Space Ignition is practically free, right? People really shouldn't be buying/selling shares of it.

For those that don't know, its free if you pre-order. I just went on Amazon to preorder it (they don't charge you anything). They immediately sent me a code via e-mail, and then I cancelled the pre-order. I suggest everyone do the same instead of wasting money on this.
Put me down for now. I know I'm getting CoD and GT5, so maybe I can contribute that way.

Don't sweat it. I'm in no real rush to play the game as I have to catch up on other games first. You could probably give the money to WiiNet so he can host like the original plan. But I'd like to see what the rest of the group wants to do first.
How bout this, Costume Quest + Dead Space Ignition group? I'm hosting, $4/share. 5 shares available. I'll buy it immediately once everyone pays.
