I presume the thought process is that his share is free, and he will make back $20 from selling the other 4 shares.

Well, technically he had to pay $20 extra dollars for the hardened edition, $21.40 if you count an extra 7% for tax. And let's be real, those maps are the only thing worth anything in that edition.

If anything, he's making $3.60 in profits, which I think it's ok, since he was the one who went out of his way to buy the HE edition while others didn't, and was nice enough to share it in CAG instead of keeping it for himself.

Somebody else asked me for $5 even though he originally charged $4 - good form. But I'd rather pay the extra $1 to technole, at least he was upfront about it with me.

Update: After some discussion deathspank was removed due to the group no longer having any interest in it. So we are now trying to fill out 45 USD with games. Ideas are being thrown around and I am sure they will continue to be changed/updated with the 2 additional slots we are looking to fill up.

TL;DR: Still looking for 2 more for 100 USD bulk share of games.

Update: Filled one more slot and am still looking for one more possible interested party. With the new slot a suggestion added, Zombie Nation 14.99 to the possibilities of games we will use to fill out the 100 USD limit.

You don't get trophies for playing betas, nope.

As for the Dead Nation group, I'm glad to do all of the administration and organization, setting up accounts, just need someone to do the actual hosting. Or if someone else starts a group please consider me 100% on board, thanks.
 
Perhaps i am missing something but what are the issues with hosting? if you delete the login from your ps3 whatever dlc or game you got stops working so if you host or create a login to get the dlc or game you are taking up the same amount of slots on both systems.

If I am missing something thats fine but if not what is the issue I am missing ¿? Just curious. Thanks

If you are the host, you would normally have to setup the account (e-mail + PSN) and be responsible for purchasing the product. This means you would either have to buy a PSN card or otherwise use your credit card.

There is no additional benefit to being a host. Everybody gets one share. If you have 2 PS3s, you need to buy 2 shares. Once you download a game on your PS3, it becomes activated on that system. If you want to remove the game, you must deactivate the system. It's as simple as that.

- If I let someone into my account, what's stopping them from downloading everything I've purchased off psn in the past and not just the specified, agreed upon content?

- What's with the dollar amounts listed next to games some posters are posting? Are they selling games?

- So, several people can chip in to buy the same game with their credit cards? (sounds uber-dangerous).

-I shared some games with a few family members, but took out the credit info first. Would people actually let others log into their psn accounts with the credit info still there? And, why?

I purchased some psn games that I'm unhappy with (megaman 9, 10, bionic commando), I just want to give them away to feel as if I got my money's worth. :bouncy:

1. Nothing.
2. They are selling shares of accounts with those games
3. No, generally people send money through paypal to the host, and the host adds money to the PSN account and buys the game. You can only add a minimum of $5 in funds in one transaction, so for almost all games, it would be impossible for people to chip in ONLY their share if they all added funds to the account directly.
4. Generally people delete any credit card info before sharing accounts.
 
You can't share individual games, only the whole account. You get 5 users per account total, not 5 users per game. So if you already let 2-3 family members share a few games in the past, they probably still have your account activated on their PS3s. Chances are, you only have 1 share left of you account anyways.

Tip: Don't share your personal account with people you don't know. Family and close friends should be fine. Create a new accounts for each individual game, its the safest/cheapest way of sharing. I'd say you are stuck with Megaman 9, 10, etc unless you want to risk your entire account.
