It was needed for 100% completion, but not for the Plat. You can get the Plat without any DLC.

If anyone can help, I've had the weirdest problem:

I received a psn message: "input code and you'll get $50 wallet"
tried the code, it said "do you want to add $50 to your wallet" ---> yes, of course it didn't work.

since, no codes work anymore on my ps3! I tried a subway one, my GT5 oneS, none work, all said incorrect/no longer valid, even the ones I just scratched (valid until 12/2011)...

Hit me a PM if you know a solution/it happened to you, TY! (I'll delete this later)

EDIT: it looks like no codes work on PSN ATM!

Phone Sony. Are you sure you are putting the codes on the right store? US codes don't work on UK codes for example and vice versa.
 
our gameshare of PS+ was a success. what ive noticed right now is this.. TOO MUCH games! we got hero of sparta, katogamori or something likethat, spyro ps1, dynamic themes. so if any1 wants to get ps+ its worth it. oh stacking is free. which is a new game, which sony has never done before(release a new game FREE on PS+) so my only complain is this. TOO MUCH GAMES. and this is just month1 :c haha

Spam message, and glitched code. You probably tried to enter it in too many times or something. try back in a day.

dont mind joining this as long as I can pay by psn cards and we mainly focus on new dlc. I ahve like half the dlc for lbp1 already.

I just added a 10, 20, and 50 dollar PSN card on my account worked fine.

Quick question for those with PSN+:

Do you have to use a credit card to add it to your account or can you just use the balance in your PSN wallet to purchase a "subscription"?

I'm not at home right now and can't test for myself, but would rather buy a $50 PSN card on my way home from work instead of using my credit card since this is for my longterm group.

I believe you can use funds in the wallet. When I purchased it it mentioned that I had no funds so needed to input my credit card. So then it should let you do that then.
