Just like the Splinter Cell group. It is so sad to see regulars lose all sense of morality for a few dollars.
I bought this share from someone in your earlier list, and sent you a pm on it.

Hey guys!

I've been playing Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes and it's absolutely awesome! Thanks to everyone who recommended it.

Luckily I haven't run into any problems with my gameshares and hopefully I never will.
One thing I wonder about is how the new change will affect gameshares with the Fortune Hunters Club? Anyone with some insight on that? :)
Aren't all the CAGs in that BF3 share in the side group?
they may be, which is even more reason keep all current shares closed in. like catching a rat. a dirty, filthy, infested, douche rat.
One thing I wonder about is how the new change will affect gameshares with the Fortune Hunters Club? Anyone with some insight on that? :)
2 slots. It's on the product description for everything. PS+ users are already affected.
I don't mind doing this but I've hosted more than 15 of these. And all the emails I use are tied back to my account so if anyone changes the password, I can always retrieve them.
I specifically remember you posting this. I guess the idiot(s) didn't pay attention. ^
Funny how empty it is I here! I feel like I'm in the Stand!
It is slower yes. I know I for one feel kind of left out. I have always participated in this thread, just not to the extent that some did. I did a lot of my work through PMs since the thread used to move so fast. After reading through here today one thing I noticed is a few posts telling people to delete posts. I don't know if it was 'hey you are giving out account info' type posts or 'hey we found an awesome loophole and want to keep it secret' type posts.

There is also the 'trusted' group, which I think is a great idea, but also leads to certain amount of alienation. You can only get into the group by knowing people, but a lot of people aren't willing to trust people (no matter how long they have been around, or how much they have done). Again don't get me wrong I think the social group is a great idea and definitely something that is necessary now, I just wish there was a way to include more people in it.
I'm part of the "5%", never asked who the hosts of accounts were when I bought a slot, and as host, I only asked the group members to tell me recently...
Well with idiots I meant 5% who change passwords..

Do what you want, but at the moment since the system is new, a lot of people are trying to adapt to reduce the probability of scams. If you sell, be careful of who you sell to and keep records. Very few people are selling or acting right now just because we don't have a fully fleshed out procedure anymore.

The thread is only slower because reposts for slots are almost non existent now. It's quite jarring.
So can we sell old slots? Anyone confirm that?
might be safer to hold off, until all the smoke clears and hosts/groups get everything under control.
they may be, which is even more reason keep all current shares closed in. like catching a rat. a dirty, filthy, infested, douche rat.
i think jlazenby1 is the only one in the side group.

i remember someone was giving away some games about a month or so ago(old thread) with the condition that u dont resell them and return/pass forward when ur done. one of the accts was blue toad murder files, who ever picked that if ur done i was wondering if i could borrow it or get on the waiting list.
Just like the Splinter Cell group. It is so sad to see regulars lose all sense of morality for a few dollars.
who said it's a regular? I'm pretty sure jlazenby1 didn't keep his slot for example -haven't seen him play BF3 in a long time.

Turkeyburkboy (badman827), come back!

meeek were they really the same person and that's why they got banned? If so, they should've been upfront about RE5. I would've given it back.

I got 2 changed PW my linger in shadow, aquarium, .detuned account which I dont really care about all that much.

Also the Mass Effect 2 that Meek hosted but I think he probally just changed it to stop anyone stealing slots. Have not been on here much to check.

I think so, yeah. We asked a mod to check turkeyburk's IP address. We didn't hear back, but when I checked his profile, he was banned.

+rams81 said he had the same list of games to trade (rare/unseen ones)
+similar (questionnable) spelling

I did, don't want steamboat near this account lol :p
and look through the last few pages, someone (the host?) mentionned a change of pass in that aquarium account

turkeyburkboy/badman827, if you're reading this reset the password on that RE5 account. I have no problems giving it back. I got my refund, so don't mess your group up.

Notably, NBA 2k10 draft combine that was on the list. Only other person on CaG i've ever seen offer that game was badman. That raised a red flag along with the similar slang/grammar and the date of the account which was created the same month that badman was originally banned.

How about when we sell our slots, we start giving the information of the host. So if any password is changed he can contact the host.

The convenience of knowing the host is a lot better than 1 password dealt to hundreds over time and impossible to track that 1 scammer out of the 100.. If you resell and contact host about it, it can be a lot better regulated. This is a problem between convenience and secure sharing. I prefer a little more hassle (asking host for current password to sell) then to have one scammer deactivate all accounts and probably leave 1 or 2 people waiting 6 months to get their rightful share back.. Let's think of a standard reselling procedure. That is quite convenient and secure to pinpoint culprit. Cause as it is now, we are truly just depending on the goodwill of people. And as I said 95% is.. But just those 5 % rotten apples can be enough to cause chaos.
Well at least I know my Fifa 12 share is safe :p
Did you take the time to notify the remaining 4 members?
If not, you're part of the problem.

I said this once already but I'll say it again.
Everyone, Calm Down

OFF-TOPIC: Anyone know what to do when you receive the wrong game in the CAG Marketplace? I don't know how to handle the return shipping. I don't feel I should be on the hook for this, but I'm not sure.

Many of these gameshares are old.
Often time, there is not a host
(the original host has sold his share to someone else)
What happens then?

Also, most (99%) of these password issues today are not from scammers, but by people "securing" their accounts
(and not sending out new password via pm due to either laziness or not knowing who the other members are).
I think it is best to leave the password alone.

I think there's only been one scam (Usuyami's BF3) and about 20 other accounts getting locked-up by people not hosting.
I think there's only been one scam (Usuyami's BF3) and about 20 other accounts getting locked-up.
this is my main fear since I bought 3 shares but I was told from all 3 host(chewy, zutta & proatwork) that they changed the password and I'm fine with that.

NSYNC, I hosted 29 shares if I count right, and besides 2 accounts, I changed the passwords.
Gotta be at least 50, maybe more...

I think the idea of the host having the password changed and keeping it himself is a good idea, at least for now, and I dont have BF3 anymore, I sold mine but have no clue to who, might pick it up Black Friday though since wal marts gonna have it for $28. Sucks paying that much but its gonna save that much of a hassle of going through the current shares state, everything is pretty f'ed up right now and its not gonna get better til everyone calms down and quits resetting

Thanks bud

I'll be selling my Shift 2 and Fight Night Champion shares since I went ahead and bought disc versions of both today. I just have to get into contact with the hosts of those groups since I accidentally deleted my inbox.

PM if you're interested.

$4 for Shift 2
$5 for Fight Night Champion

As mentioned before. Host keeps responsibility of any issues with passwords. Host = fail safe security. Even if he sells his share. And as NSYNC said before. With this system Host ALWAYS has access to the gameshare. So it is important to have a trustworthy host.

Anyway we will see what happens. I just don't think we should make the scammers this easy. Before it was stupid to change password since you can't deactivate other ps3. Now I think if we don't regulate it well, we might see some change to what we think were regular trustworthy members.

cfr. BF3 share that was mentioned before. None with good intenions would push the deactivate all button.

Hosts are ok, I'm talking about your helpers.
i'd like to vote and say our shares only circulate within our side group. for awhile anyway. at least the weight would be lighter and we'd catch this fucktard in a jiff
Would anybody be kind enough to invite me to said group? I plan on sticking around til' this place freezes over, even if I am typically a lurker. :p

I agree with this.
Just to clarify things, do our current slots value hop up to 1/2 the value of the account, or does it stay at 1/5?
I personally hope they stay 1/5th. The extra three users on the account comes with that same increase of vandal risk, or from being vandalized after resell, so they at least shouldn't be valued equal to split shares.
Just to clarify things, do our current slot's value hop up to 1/2 the value of the account, or does it stay at 1/5?
IMO all shares should stay at 1/5, charging more would be pretty douchey.

We should not be increasing the price of slots. The spirit of this thread is to get cheap games not to profit off them.

Also, to all these people with missing documentation, from now you should get them sent to some email address for back up. Mine all goes to specified folder in my inbox so I have records of everything even if I deleted them on CAG. Some of these difficulties could probably avoided this way.

I agree with zuttasox that so far password problems have only occurred because of hosts not scammers. That may be from preemption, but I think it's only causing more confusion.

Can someone help me out? I purchased a Fight Night Champion share. I believe it was just Legacy Mode, Play Now, and Champion Mode.

The thing is, I deleted my inbox before I even set up the slot on my PS3. So I have no idea who to contact, the email, or the password. All I can do for proof is look through my PayPal and see who I paid $6(?) to.

I wanna say Bastiartadi was in the share, but I'm not 100% sure.

bastiartadi

If you remember the approximate date account was made, look at the thread around said date/compare to PP. You'll probably remember your seller.
the name that no one ever gets right.
haha.

What's the email to the account? I'll give you the pw if its right.

I have no idea. Like I said, I deleted my inbox BEFORE I even had a chance to set it up on my PS3.

Can you tell me how much the share was and I go look it up in my PayPal? Or you could even tell me who the host of our group was.
