Are you paying $30 or is there something I don't know about? I'm doing the same thing for my Aliens groups since there was so much need for phantoms.
I am paying $30 but I do not have the 2nd resell like most other people do. I will probably never do the set up again but I trust WV Matsui so I made an exception just the once.

I've been thinking of picking up a handheld for a while. To anyone with a vita, is it worth it or should I just grab a 3ds for monster hunter?
I have both and would say the 3DS is better game wise, because most of the Vita's games are ports of older games and the price of memory cards is still ridiculously expensive.

Im gettin a lil worried cause Aliens wasn't mentioned on the blogcast being on psn day 1.

If anyone is gonna have an extra phantom slot open for Crysis 3 or Metal Gear Rising, lemme know, I got some 10 psn cards. Oh and Kens Rage 2 got a 3.5/10 from destructoid lol.

I have a Vita and 3ds and the 3ds is a better portable now, but on Vita you do have Sly 4 which is really neat and dont forget about Killzone either comin in fall

The person's disappointment when they found out that it was NOT a code for their account means that more than likely, this guy is selling Accounts, and not an actual PSN code that can be entered in the PS store to download the game.
I'd be cautious, I think the way he does it is once you pay, he sends you the login details for the account he created with the game on it (because about 3 years back I ran into a similar situation on Craigslist). But maybe I'm wrong

If that is the case and it is infact a download code then I will buy one for Crysis 3 and Metro Last Light. And then do a gameshare.
That ebay thing seems weird, if anyone buys a code, let us know.

Crysis 3 + MGR: Revegeance
If thats the case then lol @ " certificate "
I really don't get why he is shipping the "certificate". Anyway someone is bound to buy one since they are "protected" by ebay. We'll see what turns up, maybe he'll answer my question since I sent him one right after I saw the post on deals.

I really don't know what to think. You would think someone would leave them negative feedback if it was not an actual code but this makes me think otherwise too, "Easy account access for game thanks!".

ill prob just buy 2 slots in my sleeping dogs group since no one will take last spot.. would anyone be interested in trading for sleeping dogs? since ill keep phantom one and trade resellable one

The item has to be shipped because Ebay prohibits digitally delivered goods. Furthermore, Paypal requires delivery confirmation for a product to be covered under Seller Protection.

Yeah as far as games go I only buy resells, but for map packs I will buy phantoms.

In addition to this, eBay has a policy against the selling of digital codes. If your listing contains some key words like "code(s)" or "download(s)" you run the risk of having that listing closed and eating the listing cost.

I think perhaps the seller is avoiding our questions. I sent him a message earlier as several of you have and have yet to get a response, but just now I logged under my lady friends account and asked the seller a random question about combined shipping and he responded almost immediately. Take from that what you will.

Lol I'm half asleep here so I think that's why I could understand it, I think lol

He understood me just fine! I think you must be tired.

Well I am a bit tired, been working on my lab report for 5 hours so I wasn't looking over what I typed.

I'll what the other resells thinks about taking a phantom slot as I can't since I only have one slot left and that is for creating groups.
Whiskey Sours eh? Are you angling for entry into the "old man's Club" with me and Matsui?
Is there an opening ;)

Eh but the Whiskey sours didn't taste as good but I wanted to mix it up since I always go Whiskey & Mexican Coke.
I was more a bit more subtle. However, if my questions are answered, it will accomplish the same thing. I also contacted a few people that left feedback for the seller. I'll keep everyone updated.
how do you contact another buyer?
10 cents it's a gameshare lol

They're all phantoms. Got a response. They wait for two sales and buy the game with PayPal funds through PSN. Making money using other people's money essentially. The paperwork avoids them losing disputes when people unknowingly delete or switch HDDs. Oh well. It'll get shutdown soon. Free shipping, insurance and whatnot is because they make up to $60 using someone else's $60 (4 sales on 1 title).

I was about to write that. didn't got any confirmation though. but Phantoms for sure.

this tells everything
"This certificate will allow you to go onto the Playstation Store and download the game once. The certificate can be redeemed any time within two weeks of receiving it in the mail."

Yeah. The "shipping" gives them time to find another ebay buyer so they don't spend any of their money and edit the account information to make it unique for each buyer. Smart moneymaking tactic, but dumb at the same time. They're basically daring Sony and asking to get their PayPal shutdown.

But what's preventing them from going on his account and changing the password and then going to ebay and saying they sold them an account and not the game (which is against there terms btw).

I think he's including a very detailed note/instruction by mail...

also, buyers love sellers like that, trust me. because they can save money... and the seller clearly stated it's a digital download. 1 time download. so there is nothing to complain.

in buyers eyes, it's the same as what we doing here... so they want to save their resource. etc... it's not a suprise that lots of his buyers already added him to favorite sellers list.
But what's preventing them from going on his account and changing the password and then going to ebay and saying they sold them an account and not the game (which is against there terms btw).
They worded it pretty well, and most of his clientele probably aren't aware of gamesharing. They're making so much right now they can afford to have shrink. They're not using their own money anyway. All it takes is two to get the account up. After that, it's fees, shipping and alot of profit! If PayPal isn't added to PSN, this doesn't business doesn't start. Three day money transfer plus "shipping" is unreasonable for a digital download. Plus PSN or the bank would freeze your card thinking something's wrong. I know a few get CC errors already just doing this on CAG.

Well, isn't that nice?
Guys, what's wrong with you? Someone is selling "certificates" of recently released games for
under 60% of their original value and you don't automatically know it's a scam?

This 'deal' is also linked on the front page of the deals section. I'm thinking whether to report it or not.

You may feel let down that not only is it not real but you were almost scammed. Well, I'm going to take it one step further: Who is to say the seller isn't a member of cag or found this info by perusing this thread where the info is posted at everyone's behest even if it was just done a few pages ago? I know CAG isn't the only place that is aware of the process but when I started around Sept in 2011 I knew not to post in the forum and instead to pm a member. When I tried googling the process [in 11'] I only came up with the previous thread as a result, where the word was only mentioned a few times but no specifics were given. I wonder if I try googling it now what would happen?

You won't get scammed. They offer refunds within two weeks incase someone catches on or feels uncomfortable with the process, and there's Buyer Protection. Seems like they had everything covered except for Sony and the various publishers taking action.

One could easily win a case against this seller for fraudulence, but who is he hurting? His customers are winning, they are more then happy to be getting these games at a discount (as evidence by his feedback), and in turn he/she is winning by making a sweet profit. Even Sony and developers are winning because these were likely non-customers to begin with. It's likely they were on eBay searching for these games with the intent on purchasing a cheap second hand copy whether new or used - both of which contribute zero to Sony or the developers/publishers bottom line.

I dont really care what he's doing but rather what he's selling. We're trying to be even cheaper and save more on gameshares:lol:. Good for him if he's making cash.
