I have to admit that those guys did a great job of marketing the game without really showing any gameplay. Wonder if we'll see a review embargo til hours before the game releases (or even til after it releases a-la-unity) based on that.

Sure, embargos aren't necessarily bad, especially if you want to maintain hype well into the release. I wasn't saying the game will be bad cause of it, just wondering if they're gonna go all in and play that card (since they've been so good so far at maintaining hype with so little, might as well).

I'm fine with it either way. I like what I've seen of it, and the descriptions sound like fun. I rarely pay any mind to reviews anyways *unless they're overwhelmingly bad, which is fairly rare*

 
I was expecting significantly more, but I understand why that would be a long time to some people. For me, that's like a week of gaming. To be honest I've lost a lot of interest after seeing gameplay anyway.

ONLY 30 hours to get from the start to the end of the "main" game. TWO people have been playing it, one has been reporting all kinds of terrible stuff and the other has been very positive and he's countered a lot of stuff the first guy has said. 

The first guy also had to use a trading/currency exploit to finish that quickly. In the comments of his Reddit posts he's said he estimates 20-30 extra hours just doing random exploration stuff.

If you want to finish any game and run through it start to finish, and you come out with 30 hours of play time...that's a decent amount of time you've played that game.

Apparently they aren't sending out review copies to anyone, so take that how you will. There are review copies, they just haven't went out yet. Don't know what embargo is yet.

Honestly the videos and info from the two guys posting on reddit with the game did more for me than any review would, pretty much sold me on the game.

lol I know. A few members talked about buying 2nd systems for phantoms, you'd need to to make mine work. Hell I have a 2tb hard drive on my system and I can't fit all of it on there. This is why I'm posting it so far in advance, because it's probably gonna be hard to sell.

*Edit* The list is somewhat incomplete too, because I do have a decent amount of online only games on there too *Destiny, Need For Speed, Rainbow Six Siege, Final Fantasy...* that I didn't list for obvious reasons

Has anyone here ever paid $60 for a phantom tho? :D I mean one small hd crash and all your games are GONE

Youd probably get way more money of your purchases back by actually putting them in different PSN accounts but I guess CAG died this thread is still at #9 since 2014 LOL

Plus I also think most people just buy the games in sales now for a few bucks and who needs a 100 games they will never play anyways, i think those people who play just a couple of games a year are way happier than the "collectors".

 
To each his own. I paid a small fortune for all these games, I'm not gonna just give it away. If it sells, cool. If not, no big deal, not like I HAVE to sell it. I mean as always I'm somewhat flexible on the price but not alot. There's alot of new-ish games on there too so there's that. Plus by the time it's ready to be reset, No Man's Sky will be out and that's on there too so...

Yeah if I had the cash I'd be all over a new ps4 and hard drive just to get those from you. Maybe in another year... Crazy good deal anyways man. Hope you get it sold.
 
Not sure if this has made the news already, but it seems Sony EU is introducing the purging of inactive accounts after 24 months in their new TOS...

We will not provide you with a refund of your unused wallet funds and unexpired periods of your subscription.

After your Account is closed, you will not be able to access the PSN nor use the Products purchased with that Account.

I have no idea but you might lose older phantoms/resells you never actively log in with anymore, plus for sure older accounts you dont have in any console right now.

Just sent an email to eurogamer maybe they can run a story on it and ask Sony about it. One of their editors already replied and said he is looking into it.

Because I have a couple of friends who for example used only xbox for a while and not their PSN, one completely quit gaming for some years but then returned, in both cases it could mean you lose your purchases, i mean i can understand if they made you have to pick a new psn name after 2 years, but losing all your purchases is just inacceptable!

Now that I'm actually giving some time into Song of the Deep I gotta say it's really fun! Graphics look great and the puzzles aren't too hard or too obvious. Once you get going its actually well worth the money it costs!
