CAG Scattergories Game #5 - closed - results being posted

I say no to cooze and yes to jumpy house simply because i have heard it called a jumpy house before allbeit from my 7 year old niece

So the jade is a item title and can stay. Jean Jacket did not link to an auction and is just a general item.

PS- Got called over to a meeting by the boss. More answers in about 30 mins.

UH oh boss probably got a note from IT regarding Warners Internet traffic. We might not see him till the end of the day when he tells us he was fired!!!

If you say no to the Cooze, that means you have to say no to all brand names and use the title of the product only.

So if you were doing a sports team, then the city name wouldn't count, cause that's not the actual name of the team, just the city it's in. Just like a smelly cooze is in Jenna Jameson.

I dont agree with that Cooze is an item where as a sports team question is actually asking the name of the team. For instance, if the letter was D i would consider "Dallas Mavericks" an answer because that is the name of the team. If the letter was M and the answer was solely Mavs i would question that...

*Edit*
Not necessarily the name of the team but which specific team

Well, if the question were type of soup, would you accept Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup as a 2 point question if the letter were C?

Because labelling the soup as Campbell's is no different than labelling the smelly Cooze as Jenna Jameson's.

*This is undoubtedly the most intelligent conversation about her cooze that has ever taken place* :)

I had the same thought about the stadium one.

If the answer had been given as Jacksonville Jaguar's stadium or Jacksonville Jaguar's stadium parking lot I would have said it's good for 2, but the way it's phrased I don't like it for 2.

I disagree on the sports team (same deal as a specific make/model of car to me) but possibly agree on the brand name thing.

However for the eBay one specifically I say any word in the title is good.

i think the brand name should be considered in our game as it gets down to specifics. I dont believe Jenna Jameson counts as a brand though. However if we decide to not include brands that might make this game very interesting. We will start seeing a lot of people lose those 2 or 3 point answers :)

I will now admit I put the JJ cooze answer. I picked her not only for the name but because of the nature of her profession I thought it would be especially smelly.

Got chewed out?

Just kidding. Reading over the argument's, I say the folowing.

JJ's cooze: Since the argument seems to be a back and forth argument and so nit picky, I'm going to allow it. No need to split hairs.

Jumpy House: Good for 1

Jacksonville just outside the Jag's stadium: Personally I gave him the benefit of the doubt and read it as "outside the Jax Jag's stadium." It looks like there's only 2 no's for it, so unless someone else feels the need to object, the points stay at 2.

Junk and Junk mail are the same IMO

Jeremy Jaynes emails = a great answer.

That's what's odd about Scattergories. I think JJ's cooze is no good, but Jeremy Jaynes e-mails is a big thumbs up. (None of them were my answer.)

2 people look to be trying to make a break away. But haven't actually gotten out of sight just yet.
BTW i think the jacksonville should count as 1 because of the wording. However im cool with whatever
3 no's brings the Jax, just outside Jag's stadium down to 1 point and leaves one lone ranger in the pull away pack. :whistle2:s

There are almost certainly other teams named Jaguars, but the Jax Jaguars are by far the most famous. I lean towards no good.

Jackson and Jamaican are good IMO.

I was hoping everyone else would think "If I say Jax Jaguars it will definitely be blocked" and not go with it. Kind of like the short guy from Princess Bride reasoning out which glass contained the poison. Ended up working out about as well for me as it did for him.

I agree with Wubb on Jaguars, whoever posted that should have defined which jaguars if they werent intending the jacksonville jaguars...

*Edit*

Wubb i hate you :p

I dunno. Jag's w/o reference to Jax could be in reference to ANY sports team with the name Jaguars. So if everyone listed a different jaguars team (jax, coral gables, minnesota, etc), would jaguars get the point then? Cause by the description I gave earlier, I would have awarded them a point since there most definitely is yet another jag's team out there somewhere. I'm inclined to think that jag's by itself should be treated no different than it's most commonly accepted understanding (jax jag's) unless the person who posted the answer gave a link to a different jag's team (which they didn't)

edit: And I make the 3rd no on Jag's, so that one will get blended into Jax Jag's

Jade is not a description...its an actual item. If this gets rejected, I vote to reject Junoesque.

...yes Jade Jewelery was my answer :D

I'm ambivalent on jade jewelry. I'm not familiar with kimonos but should Junoesque be considered along the same lines as jade?

I agree with your thoughts on Jaguars. If they gave a specific team other than Jax Jags then it's good, but they didn't so it's lumped with Jax Jags.

9- Somewhere you eat

top score(s) is/are 10. By the way. The pull away pack got gobbled up.
low score(s) is/are a pathetic 2. Man someone(s) really sux.

edit: looks as though there was quite a bit of confusion (read- lack of reading comprehension) on the actual question. I was asking for a place, not a food.

Yeah I messed this one up as well.

I think it's because "Something" was just above this line and it blended together for many of us.

In the interest of consistency, I have upgraded Jade Jewelry to 2 points. However if I get 1 more no for either Jade or Jonesque, both will be downgraded to 1 pt.
