Before you get rid of your system I would suggest you be sure to
1. Save your PSN id and password
2. Deauthenticate your PSN ID from your system (i.e. don't just delete your ID from the PS3)

That's of course if you plan on getting a PS3 again in the future granted you have 4 authentications but still you might have your CC on the PSN store account.

Do people still play on Sunday nights? I got on last night and there was nobody playing SOCOM :( I just switched over to 50 Cent that I rented and it's actually a pretty decent game and had me laughing at almost every line in the game despite them intending to sound badass/serious.

Just got it today and after the 1 hour of install and updates I played a couple of rounds. I started off by killing the first guy I saw, and then was blown away quickly the next 3 rounds. I do like it so far (definitely worth the 400 points). I'll toss out some friend invites either tonight or tomorrow so I can get in with you guys.

I think I'm going to get back into this game. I really didn't give it much of a chance because killzone 2 and Red Faction sucked up all my time. I'll try to join in this coming weekends game. Fair warning, I suck and if I shoot you in the back and you're one of my squad mates, I apologize ahead of time. :)
 
well, promised schedule change at work never came through so its yet another month of working til 730 in the freakin am. patch sounds like its gonna be badass if/when i get to play socom with you guys again....im convinced my job is trying to suck the life out of me for the last ten months of my contractually obligated servitude, bah!

Snow maps would be really cool (boo). The Middle East is so played out. Maybe they can toss some Russian mercs in there.

It was fun playing again tonight, even if just for one game. I'll be back on this more often as I expect to have more evenings free very soon.

Smog, md, MisterB and I are still on most every night. Doesn't have to be limited to Sunday or Tuesday.

Yeah I was on point on that Desert Glory match. Ill be on tonight after my first day of my last class of undergrad work! Im psyched!!
 
After last night's games I really want to get on again tonight if I can get access to the TV.

Smog, I feel for you missing that 15 kill streak by 1 kill but then again you somehow stole my MVP in that one game ;):cry:

Also, it is going to be a beyotch getting those C4 kills since they go off on a timer.....although I've been thinking up some good ideas :twisted:

Camp a corner, when someone comes close plant the C4, back up, when they come around the corner, shoot the C4. That is the lesson I was taught by the C4 guru, though I wonder if he has more teamkills with C4 then real kills.

With all these people playing tonight, I'll have to think what game to play tonight, especially since one more long night will put me over the 100 hour mark...

Hey, quick question about SOCOM. I know this is the clan thread but it is the only active socom thread. Just got the game and I am loving it. I was wondering why everyone quits the lobby after a game? I hate having to refind matches.


Also, is it me or are all teams always lop-sided in terms of confrontation rating?
 
leaving is common in Quick match not so much if you find a room .

the ratings are unbalanced but dont go by them for the most part they most likely ranked up for it


you should post your psn so we could play most of us are on nearly every night
 
I'm gonna try my hardest to get on tonight but it's always a struggle over control of the PS3 TV. I wish they sold a VGA adapter for the PS3 like they do for the 360 :whistle2:(
 
Hey guys, sorry havn’t been on lately. I wont be able to make it tonight, me & Orange are going to the Rangers game. I will see you all on Tuesday. I am not sure how late I will be playing, I start a summer school class tomorrow :(
 
I think this deserves a little CAG Socom Night bump. Hopefully enough people show up to have a good game amongst ourselves for a while.

I found this funny in regards to Fight night 4 ripped from Gam faqs


So he has all 3 belts. Well a friend of mine contacted him and DJ said he will trade the 3 belts for Socom. So if you got Socom from the PSN contact DJeezy and see if you can trade and get the belts back in cycle. or just trick him and get them. Either way figured I would post this since it was passed on to me.
 
I'm going to try to be there tonight and hopefully there is still a crowd around. I just need about 30 more Shotgun kills for my Silver Trophy (Shotgun 2nd Class) and damn those C4 charges seem to take 10x as long to blow when you are trying to kill somebody with them.

It was fun playing this again but I'm gonna have to retire after that round. :) The M14 is turning out to be my lucky gun.

Also I never realized the IW-80 is pretty much the same as the L85A1, which was my favorite gun in BF2. Gonna have to try that some more in case we switch clans, although it doesn't seem so great in this.

Yeah, I keep hoping that Zipper is secretly working on a new SOCOM. If it's true, I hope it'll be more along the lines of SOCOM 1 and 2, I never really got into 3 but played a ton of the first two.
 
No developer listed... haha lol They took it away from /6 Its only a matter of when, not if. Probably wont see it until 2012 though.

Timing of the game is a very intresting subject, assuming SCEA is going to continue funding 4 mainline PS3 shooters its needs to find a window to let it be the shooter for a good 6+ months. You have MAG Fall 2009, I'll assume Resistance 3 Fall 2010, maybe Killzone 3 Fall 2011. SCEA would not want to put any 2 of them in the same period so maybe Socom becomes a spring game, say Spring 2011. Hopefully they give Zipper or whoever the funding needed to make it a kick ass game in both single and multiplayer.

Giving it a number is making me assume it will have a campaign hopefully with online coop.

Unless I am missing something doesn't the person have to be in the game to get the invite, I see no invite to clan option anywhere in the clan menu.
