5.1 seems to be working fine for me but I hope they fix the firmware to give me the ability to have DD5.1 setup for HDMI and optical which they disabled with the last update.

Also, how do you know the headshot count? I read something above about a noise (is it like the COD ding?) but I've never heard anything and I crank my volume when I play. I only ever see it in the upper left corner where it reports kills in text.

I just happen to notice in the corner when I'm shot from across the map. I also look at the stat page at the end of the game. The one game that I looked was a 8x8 game and the first three people on both teams had between 4-5 headshots each. I even had three in one round.

I hope to be on tonight after a movie with the bride
 
I'd like to put a feeler out there, who's getting FIFA10 and who is getting NHL10. I think I'm going to get one or the other, can't afford both.

Just returned from the clan match... we got slaughtered.

I mostly blame not knowing the map. /cry

Ah, so is that why my audio has been less than stellar (hooked up w/optical). God damnit Sony...
 
Do they do bigger clan matches? Maybe we should do a 8v8 or something. I got on at 3 central for the match but there was already 5 people on lol. I am sure we would have a bunch of people on later in the evening times.
 
Yeah, it was like mid-day for me. It was just weird.

I also think more people would be willing to join if it was during the evening (late evening EST) as opposed to the afternoon. Maybe my chances of getting killed by a friendly M67 frag will reduce after getting more people on the team, haha.

How do those tourny matches work? I'd be willing to join in one of those. Though i think it'd take a long ass time to play through an entire tourny.
 
yea my buddy got a 40 gig with like half a gig left i tried. nice to se all this new blood . ill probably get on when i get in monday night like 1230 am im feenin

I've had the same problem for ages but did nothing to fix it and now with the latest SOCOM patch it complained that my system was like 5 minutes ahead :rofl:
 
I gotta remember that you can't link actions (sprinting + reloading) here like you can in Killzone or MAG (hi Smoggy!).

I some how reset reloading my pistol 4-6 times in a row trying chase and shoot someone in the back.

Also the other day I was the one down on the ground when you guys came out of the tunnel and stepped all over me. If I wasn't fumbling with that pistol, I'd of had at least ONE MORE of you wearing a halo before you gave me mine. ;)
 
Yeah you got one Wotcher. Syn I will get you one tomorrow. Not "linking actions" is my only gripe now. It sucks but you get used to it. For the Clan ladder thing, I have no idea how to join another ladder or leave the 4x4 one. I agree that we need 8v8s and at nighttime. Its a bit confusing but i will figure it out tomorrow.

I had that problem as well but going to the time/date system settings and having the ps3 automatically set the date and time seemed to fix it.
 
Alright I figured out how to register for the 8v8 Evening Ladders. On Weekdays from 9pm-2am. Everyone good with this? Also I need to submit a Map/Game Mode combo. What do we want?? Need everyone's opinion since we will all be playing in it

Yep, I did the same thing. Worked like a charm.
 
Okay... It happened again! I was down on street picking guys off with my rifle and I guess they got pissed. So one guy started strafing back and forth all the way down the road. I was partly in shock that he was attempting to fight his way to me and that I couldn't hit him. Going to up my sensitivity I guess because it worked. The round ended right before he could hurt me. :lol:

If "moving like a snake on crack" worked in real life I'd rob every bank I could lol.

And PS I love the RPG. Never used one myself but I love watching it fly and the crazy amount of smoke it puts out after an explosion.

well i think thats better than me hitting L1 "to aim" and end up panicking with someone rushing me down with no gun.

i dont know if i download the patch in time for tonight's game. crappy internet. when will we be able to background download or just download from your computers and install patches via usb?
 
It said it was already sent when i tried via the website. I can send you one in-game tonight since its much easier. I will post room in here at 10pm

We don't pick the room until 9:45-10:00, someone will post the room in the thread at 10 or a little afterwards. If you have regular players on your friends list (or are a member of the clan), you can simply go to community->friends/clan->choose someones name and hit join game

Medley 1 is the best, if we play that Smog you better get there early if you want to play your favorite mode/map combo.
