Clan match going on at the moment, its like 12 to one, and it starts in 10
minutes. D:

O wells, we can always take a loss or two, doesn't matter, but haven't gotten
the chance to play in one.

naw. All our clan matches, so far, have been at 8pm eastern. I think, or at least 8pm my time.

Is ok Esper, :3 I was just running around than I saw you far away from the door, than I was like "D:"

I don't understand the point of Demo on that map, so stupid. Until that match, I thought turning down the pipes draining the water was a good thing.

Also, We don't have a clan match scheduled atm.
 
I'll be out of town until Monday, 10/19, so I'm going to miss Sunday's CAG night. The bride and I are going to Las Vegas to eat swell food and take in some entertainment. I got my copy of Uncharted 2 today but won't be able to crack the seal until I get back which is killing me. I'm bringing my psp to get my socom fix though.

Is there an online place where we can check upcoming clan matches?
 
i'm pretty sure the socom site, if you log in, you can get the msgs from inbox in the community part of confrontation.

btw, we did lose that match the other night yea?

Yes, we did lose the match, we are at 9-4 which is pretty good.

Also, you can check upcoming clan matches, as well on your ps3, after loading up socom. And going to look at the community calender, and it will show days and times of any upcoming Socom Match.
 
got a few buddys that just picked this up... I am going to rebuy my copy now.

is there a trick to get people to hear you with the Sony Headset? One of my friends said that last night no one could hear him? I am thinking they just were not responding..but I wasnt there.

Thoughts?

I kind of had the same thing happen when I was playing no one responded to me on the headset either? I was using a Motorola and I had it synched with the system.

Do you turn the mic on or off in the menu somewhere by chance?

All new character specialization/progression system. Allows players to pick a primary and secondary specialization and unlock new equipment exclusive to those specializations

This is very interesting, a leveling up system, if you cannot switch these specializations quickly and easily (knowing /6 it won't be easy) these will be almost useless.

New weapons, including:
o 3 new weapons (1 Russian for sure, 2 we have no clue about)
o 6 enhanced versions of weapons available as part of the new weapons specialization system
o 2 new weapon attachments (including the thermal scope)
o 5 enhanced versions of weapon attachments also available as part of the new weapons specialization system.
o 2 new grenade launcher ammo types (flash and smoke) (How is this going to be used, grenade launchers allowed in ranked if equipped with smoke and flash? They better not bring the launcher back full stop.)
 
Im not thrilled about the ranking system garbage, Socom is about gun skills not "rank up & unlock advantageous weapons/attachments" All in all its a small complaint for what amounts to 50% of original game....I am very excited for this to hold me over for another Year at least
 
Socom gameshares, yay :3 Be happy we at least know whats in the dlc pack, for all we knew it was just maps.

But yeah, /6 drops the ball on things like that.
 
Man tonight can not come soon enough. After shooting someone in the face with a shotgun from 2 feet away, them not dying, they melee me to death in uncharted really makes you appreciate Socom. I think I am done with that game in a competitive sense, the single player and coop are still kick ass though. Smog we need to set up a time to play and beat both gold rush and survivor.
 
oh man. uncharted will eat up my time until I beat single player and mix it up with multiplayer. but def on game nights and if ppl all playin, i'll still jump into socom. can't get too used to the jumpy lag melee action of u2.
 
Anyone try the Home Launch?

if you delete home a redownload it it doesnt dl 3gb just like 300mb it just saves up to 3gb for home itself. i would get stuck initializing but after deleting it starts up fine

Yeah, congrats on the platinum md. That was a nice sniper battle we had, I nailed you except for the stupid rock in the way, as soon as I creeped a little farther out to clear the rock, boom head shot.
 
Good times last night fellas. Nice 1 year anniversary present for all who showed up :)

Rumor has it that they are adding in a tiebreaker round in patch 1.6 or something. It was mentioned yesterday on the Euro PS Blog and promptly removed today. If that happens it will bring a lot of players back. Maybe we can catch up to COD WAW still...lol
 
nice games, it was good to get back on after being away for almost a month due to having a lame ass work schedule. thats cool about the dlc but i may be mistaken but wasn't there supposed to be some free dlc? or are they considering 1.6 the "free" dlc?
 
Yeah 1.6 is considered the "free" dlc. No maps but it has 2 new clan factions and like 4 guns including the .50cal Sniper and the mini AK and the 9mm sub
 
No tie breaker round, abigale made a post in the forum explaining why (basically because there is no way to do a fair tiebreaker round with side switches).
 
After playing Confrontation for a month or so, I'm kind of getting tired of 8 round matches. I'd like 7 (with a tiebreaker)...I don't know, the game just feels like it takes too long sometimes.

win in 5 so you dont need to go to all 8 or stay alive longer so your not waiting get a psp to pass the time when your dead
