I might be able to make that. My bride's tv show is over at 11 but some times it runs until 11:15. I'll try my best to make it. Not that I will make the difference but an extra set of eyes always seems to help

Hey man, good playing with you last night. I still can't believe you got voted that first match though. I opened up the menu and couldn't press either button so I just kept going. I didn't realize you had been voted till you sent me a message.

By the way, how did the clan match go? Sorry I couldn't make it.

We went up against a clan that actually cares about winning and not just having fun, so you can imagine how that went...

I hope the thermal scope doesn't suck like the one in MW2, since it has 1x and 2x zoom I think I will like it a lot more. The MW2 one zooms in way to far for how I play that game.

The thermal scope looks really really really good in the video. I am more interested in the new ak.

I can't seem to get my KDR up from 1:2. I thought I was doing better than when I first started, but I'm still dying more than killing. Not that I care about stats, but I thought I'd have gotten better after a year.

"raw" = very good

My kdr is floating .88 - .90
I doubt I will break 1.0 even if I try.

I don't care though, this game is fun and I love playing it.
 
Nothing like that Socom feeling...Condor I am VERY surprised to hear you still are rocking the 1:2 KDR. Definetely thought it would be 1:1 with the last 4 months or so. Cant be that far away. Remember divide Assists by 2 and add to your kills

It doesn't take the assists into your kdr does it? If so I think mine should be much higher cause I'm really good at winging people.

My brother-in-law is in the Army and he plays COD4. Trying to get him on a real shooter, as I am sure he will dig the realism and communication

Smog, if you or your cousin are on goozex, you can get socom for 200 points, or the equivalent of $10. A buddy of mine requested it and got a copy 3 days later. There are also used copies on Amazon for $13 total.
 
I know smog already knows this but SCEA is putting a producer on an unoffical playstation podcast. I would put up the link but the only questions people care about is when 1.6 and the DLC are coming out, and that will be announced on the blog, not on this podcast. When it comes out I will link it, it will probably be amusing to listen to, assuming the questions that get asked are tough, but good luck hoping for that.

Maybe we should cut down on the CAG on CAG violence. smog just owns our faces haha.

But what you can probably do is hang behind someone and clean up after them. You know, be like how Scottie Pippen was to Michael Jordan. I've noticed many kills can be got if you just watch their blindspot or their six. You can also snipe, they seem to have great ratios as well.

Or you can pull an md and be random as hell, haha. I swear, he almost always appears right behind me.

The official term for that is "metaly style" I think... If it measured K:D by adding up damage dealt, I'd probably be something like 4:90581091. :oops:
 
Just opened the game and it's telling me I am at 1:1... So much for complaining, lol

Don't know how it changed. Oh and congrats md on getting to 9!
 
I looked it up yesterday, my k/d was something like 3500/4500 roughly. It lists me as 1:1 but I really don't care.

I completely forgot about that tourney smog, I was around to play in it too.

The socom podcast will be released next thursday, I will give it a listen just to hear the pr speak from the SCEA guy.
 
Hmm only a 5 day wait, thats quick for the greatest developers of all time...Seriously option is right, the best way to get kills is to follow behind/around someone and just clean up..Plus most of the time the enemy is shooting at the other person, not the "cleaner"
 
I guess I love being bait for everyone.

It always seems for me that when I'm following with someone and try to help them out I end up killing them instead of the other team. Must have something to do with my wicked good aim and smooth moves with the analog sticks.
 
Man we worked that method to perfection on Xroads the other day when it was 2on4. That and the corner method.

Oh yeah Condor I played with trashing for a minute last night. We were talking bout how Cross is addicted already lol...Its crazy how different this game is for people when they get with a chill clan aka CAG
 
Does this game still have a good multiplayer community? Thinking of picking it up for 200 points on Goozex so I can try out a console FPS again.

This game is 3rd person not a fps. This game has a fantastic multiplayer community. The CAG group is the best and we have a good turnout most any night of the week. From time to time you can run into a prick or two but for the most part all is well in the world of Socom.

I believe I had 0 kills that game :cry:
Otherwise good games, still can't believe I mistook that famas sound for an ameli.

That was three more than me. The one kill that I did have was erased when my system froze requiring a hard reset.
 
There is a clan match tonight at 11 eastern, since we challenged the clan chances are they won't show up so hopefully socom night won't be too disorganized.

I'm down to under 20 kills needed with SMGs for my elite, then goodbye underpowered weapons!

Also, owning that entire team with just a DE was awesome (I know that it wasn't a real game, but I don't care)

Somehow, I feel like I'm better with the SMG's than with the AR's. It might be due to the F90's 50 rounds though. I have about 30 kills left till my AR elite and then I'll go back to the SMG's for the elite.

When did this happen? I remember getting owned by the sniper/DE combo from that guy on the other team. That was nuts.

It was the Desert Glory match, where we messing around with sniper rifles.

Yeah that guy was unbelieveable with the sniper/DE combo, md did get his knife in his back for one round, and I got him with my bizon in the very last round.
 
Man, that no scope sniper battle was awesome...until people started using pistols and assault rifles...

I was totally trying to recreate the American Revolution, haha.
 
hard to make bold when i do it on my phone

so yea we got challenged so i think the other team will show

hopefully we can get a full squad or close to it
