Basic Information:
¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯¯
Feedback Score is based on UNIQUE members (like Ebay). The system still tracks Total Feedback Received.

• Traders had a month to compile their own feedback via provided Excel forms and submit them as per the sticky that was in the Trading Forum.
Over 100 CAGs submitted their feedback.

• You can still get your old feedback into the new system by contacting CAGs you have dealt with previously and asking them to leave you feedback.
Traders are still allowed (and encouraged) to leave feedback for past trades.

• Each CAG has his/her own feedback page. You can leave feedback for other users by clicking through to their own feedback page and clicking:
icon2.gif
Submit Feedback For _______

• You can find a CAG's feedback score and links to their own feedback page on their Profile screen and on the Memberlist.

• You can easily search the Memberlist and see useful statistics on the CAG Trader Ratings home page. You will notice a link to that page on the Forum Index and at the top of this forum.

• When entering feedback, CAGs are encouraged to include a link to the trading thread for past & current transactions.

• If you feel that you have been left negative feedback unfairly, please contact myself or a moderator.

• The date listed in the system is that of when the feedback was entered, not the date of the transaction

•2000+ feedback were imported via the Excel sheets with the date 5-02-05.

Thanks,
CD

Feedback I've Received List (as of 4/24/05 9pm EST)

i am typing up peoples feedback for $7 per user!
see my post below!

2 cags have contacted me about doing their feedback, i did one of them already and i discovered he actully had 51 positive feedback, as opposed to the 50 he was credited for in the tally.

i will do anyones feedback with less than 100 total feedback for $7 (if you have more than 100, PM me) i can not promise it will be 100% perfect (i lost 3 on my own feedback total) but as you can see with the case above, you might even end up with more. i will only be recording the traded with CAG and the feedback left, everything else will be left blank. if you have had any neg or neutral feedbacks left for you, you must tell me in your PM.

thems the rules...7 bucks per excel file!

How long did typing up 50 take you? I'm so goddamn lazy I'm really thinking about starting fresh.

bout 20 mins after i got a system down.

the first feedback i did was my own, and that ended up taking an hour
Check Cheapy's first post, under the section "How Do I Find Uder IDs"
Was that there 5 minutes ago? If so, I really need to have my eyes checked again
Ok another question, hopefully other people will have these too. Where ar the other feedback threads?
He has them in the first post of the tally thread, but here they are for your reference...

Edited to add:
Links should be fixed now; they didn't work before because of the "..." truncation. I had just copied them from the tally thread.
cheapy your feedback links do not work, judy's links work.
I can't get either of them to work! judy's links take me to CAG front page, and cheapy's does not work at all....

I fixed the ones in my post... I had just copied and pasted them from the tally thread... I forgot about the weird ... truncation that vB does on links.

Are we still going to carry forward the tally numbers from the old feedback system, in the "Trader Feedback (Old)" attribute, like we talked about in the older thread?

Also, are we sticking to the May 1 cutoff to have all old feedback entered into the new system? If we are and someone wants to have their feedback entered in after May 1 (say being in the hospital or some other mishap), what're we going to do? Break out the "late fee" payment that goes into the upkeep of CAG?

When will we start using the new feedback system? Kind of related to shrike's question, is May 1st the cutoff date for what's considered "old" feedback? (Like, should people who are doing trades between now and May 1st put feedback for those trades into their Excel sheets? Or should people just post the feedback thread and enter it into the new system when it's implemented?)

No, we are not going to carry over anything thats not in your excel sheet.
Any feedback that is accumulated after you submit your sheet, you will have to get your trading parter to enter on the new system, after May 1.

So it's pretty much in our best interest to send you our excell sheet the last day of april?

Did mine in about 5 minutes (all 4 of them :) )

Just a few questions:

1. We should go ahead and put in feedback from the same user right? (I have 2 from shrike) even though the new system will show your unique score.

2. The feedback doesn't have to be listed out in the spreadsheet in chrono order does it?

I've assumed the answers to these questions and they seem like obvious assumptions, but if I was wrong please correct me.

I know there was talk in the original thread about requiring a link to the trade thread. My 2 cents is that we shouldn't do that since pretty much all the hairy details of a trade on this site are carried out through PMs 90%+ of the time. The trade thread generally won't show much except maybe that one trader had a trade thread and the tradee left a message of 'PM sent' and often won't even show that. Not much value there.

I still think we should have links to posts in the feedback thread, since those posts show a good summary of a trade.

You shall have a email in a couple minutes CheapyD

*EDIT* CheapyD I have links to all of my feedback but it links back to the old forum. Do you want me to add them anyways or just leave it blank? And does it need to be listed old feedback to new feedback or the other way around (or does it even matter what order you list them)*EDIT*

Cheapy, Trakan and I, your faithful feedback talliers, were wondering what we should be doing while we're starting to transition into the new feedback system.

We're caught up feedback tally-wise until yesterday. As May 1 seems like the big day to make the move into the new system (or just the feedback submission cut-off point), what do we do in the interim?

Do we:
1) Continue with business as usual until the thread's locked with doing the tally updates.
2) Once the thread is locked, people will have to hold off on feedback until the new system is up and running.
3) People will enter their backlogged feedback + new feedback into the new system when it's up and running.

Or would it be:
1) Don't do anything with the feedback tally and let it keep accumulating into the feedback thread.
2) Once the thread is locked, people will have to hold off on feedback until the new system is up and running.
3) People will enter their backlogged feedback + new feedback into the new system when it's up and running.

The option I'd like to go for is locking it now, and asking CAGs to wait until the new one is up to leave feedback. I know it is asking a lot, but I think it'd go smoother and give them plenty of time to tally the old feedback and send it to you, Cheapy. I could update it real quick with any feedback left from yesterday as well.

Let us know your thoughts.

I agree. Once we upload the old feedback to the new system, we aren't going to be doing any more importing. People should hold off and enter the new feedback into the new system

pung will ban you for this  I have 42 can you do it too for free? O:) (It was suppouse to be an angel smile. It doesn't work)

actully, ill do his feedback for free if shrike dosent. no reason he should be left in the cold just because he lacks a computer.

For all you guys that don't have any Excel program, you can make a text file with all your feedback and give it to someone with excel and make it into an .xls program. I'd be willing to help convert files. You just need to separate your columns with tabs or commas or some other character, and different rows with new lines. For example, here's two rows from my excel file:

3075, 21338, 1, comment, 1, http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=826965#post826965
3075, 16519, 1, comment, 1, http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=792576#post792576

If you make a text file with lines like that, it'd be pretty easy to convert them to an xls file. For people's reference, first column is your userid # (person receiving feedback), the other person's user id #(person giving you feedback), next is whether it was positive(1) or neutral(0) or negative(-1), next is comments, next is if the other guy was a seller(1) buyer(2) trader(3), and last is a link. I believe only the first 3 are mandatory.

I wish my motives were that underhanded to knee-cap punq's $7 whoring. :D

No, if someone spends the time to do it, I'd be happy to toss it into Excel for them. Assuming it's not the whole of CAG doing it, and underdstand it's when I get the spare time to do it. :p

Masha, your halo is certainly hanging well off to one side.

judyjudyjudy, how'd you find those individual posts? I never have any luck doing that, and I'd like to get the hint on how to do it, so I can put all the 274 links when I do mine.

Well, I only had 13 feedback, so I just did a search for my name in the feedback threads. If you put the mouse over the title of the post in the search results, it gives that link. If you're going through each feedback thread, you can look at each post # and then make your own link. If you click the upper right number of each post, it gives you a link to the post by itself. If you want to link to the post in the thread, you can find the post # by putting your mouse over the upper right corner. Like for your last post, I put the mouse over "#26", and I see:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showpost.php?p=871350&postcount=26
To make a link to the post in the thread, you do
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?p=871350#post871350

so the last part is "showthread.php?p=POSTID#postPOSTID"

I hope that made sense and is what you were asking for.

Cheapy, could you maybe word it how you'd like it to be worded and lock the feedback thread?

Then I'll update it.

Damn, I need one more feedback to make it to 275. ;)

Trakan, I'm working on silverandcold's feedback (just 'cause I'm such a nice guy), since it was smaller than yours, as a test, then I'll probably do yours sometime either tonight or tomorrow.

The odd thing is that he told me he had 11 feedback, though when he sent me the links, it was only 10. Sort of like what you told me in PM about yours. Curious, that.

I think I did his correctly, and I emailed it off to Cheapy. I'm sure if I did something wrong, he'll let me know.

I told punqsux something similar, but sometimes people don't put spaces in between the "with?" and the username. So if there is a "Who did you trade with?silverandcold" it won't come up in your search. So you either have to do a search for "with?silverandcold" or "*silverandcold".

Edited to add:
I got 11 through searching... I found one that was like what I said here , is that the 11th one?

When I was doing my searching, I was using the browser's built-in search for "silverandcold" on the page from links he sent me, instead of using CAG's search function. Much more work, though much more thorough, since it'll catch the no space issue you talk about above. Two of the links were the same link, and when I searched through the entire page, it just came up with one feedback post.

So, the four character limit prevents me from searching for my username... :?

Is there any other easy way to find my feedback? Cause I really don't want to dredge through all four threads!

That sucks. Just have Cheapy knock down the character limit to 3 for you. :D
