Hey all i am completely new here, just got warhawk 2 weeks ago.

it would be cool to play in a group/team if possible.
 
Well heck - Friday and no Warhawk?? :drool: I will test out my serving skills I guess. 10 matches - no zones and no dogfight (yay). All 15 minute matches (so a longer night than the norm). Only the last 3 maps need boosters. I will start it up at the normal time - 7pm California time.

Server name - SoCalDude
Pass - shaqfu
time - 7pm pacific time (normal time)
non-ranked


And right now I will set up a mini-ranked server. It will only be two or three maps both small PISTOL ONLY deathmatches. I was in one of these the other day and it was crazy fun. The server name will be PISTOL-ONLY-DM this will be a ranked server but I will have a few buddy slots saved in there. I am going to set it up now so it should be up in a few minutes.

Why do we have to jump through hoops to play on the CAG servers? I would think that the very effective password we use would be enough - why limit participants. If I am not dieing every 30-seconds I am simply not having a good time - and that requires full servers.

I'm doing the buddy list thing because several have wanted to do a ranked server some night, and ranked servers cannot have passwords.

Man, I need to get the Warhawk Recruiting award to move up in rank now, and I'm terrible in flight. Looks like I may need to practice some.

I want to extend the invitation to trophy whores to gather the Warhawk Warlord (clan leader) trophy.

I've set up a clan called "CAG2" - we're going to build up to ten folks, pass around the clan leadership, and then have a clan match against CAG for that trophy (and for fun, haha) as well.

PM me if you're interested. I still have 3 slots open.

I'm thinking of having a CAG v CAG2 match on a Thursday night; anyone want to try 9/18 or 9/25 around 9PM EST?
 
Great games yesterday and earning rank points is a nice bonus. More ranked server games in the future would be much appreciated :mrgreen:

Doesn't look like anyone else is joining CAG2 so maybe just getting the Rivalry trophy is good enough for now.

If you are going to do that I would suggest running the idea by Mana to see abot a match on either Friday night or Saturday night when people are expecting a game. Plus this way you can swoop up anybody not yet in the CAG clan. That way we still get our Warhawk on the normal nights, get the trophy for clan play and then CAG2 can go away after leadership is passed around.

Just my 2 cents...

Grrr. I earned the "warhawk recruiting" ribbon during a match earlier today, and it somehow didn't add it to my updates!!! So now I have to go and earn it again so my rank will increase.

It was a lot of fun last night. About 10 people? I'm not sure... too busy running away from socal who seems to have autotracking bullets locked onto my head. Though every time I did get a kill on him, it was a great feeling. Even though the kill ratio between us was probably 10-1 in his favor. haha

Not too diss games set up for just collecting trophies, I probably will do that clan leader one when it's set up, but it's a great feeling to get some of them in a real game. I got Dead Eye and Are you Aim-boting in a ranked game today and it was a great feeling. Especially listening to the guy curse and for the next 15 minutes, we hunted each other with sniper rifles. Have to say that was one of my most memorable matches.

This may sound stupid but just to be sure... You sure it wasn't a pre-game (less than eight players) match where you earned it? Anything earned in one of those won't count, but will still show up at the end game.

It wasn't too bad... though the turn out wasn't that great. I blame confusion (what with having to have me as a PSN friend and it starting about twenty minutes late) and SOCOM beta. Max was 10 players. After about an hour we dropped to six players and never got above 8 again. I took my toys and went home around midnight, there were only 4 of us playing, after getting killed, again, while trying to jump APCs.

I'd try it again... that's for sure.
 
No, it wasn't. I even got the 50 point "winning game" ribbon as well.

It still hasn't shown up, I think, but I did earn a second one a few games back, so I finally earned Sergeant rank.

Hehe, I was having fun following you around while you landed those APCs on the rooftops. Hope I wasn't too annoying for you, since it wasn't a real game I was just having fun screwing around.

Trophies count... since they don't require a ranked server, it's the server side ranking that doesn't keep during pre-games.

You weren't annoying at all... well... didn't you kill me by ramming my APC once? That was annoying.:lol:

Haha, yea i did but that was right off the bat so didn't cut into too much jumping. I don't know what's wrong with me, but I've been doing that at least once or twice every time I play lately. I also got someone else (i think tenchi?) on the Tau Crater collection when they came up to throw mines on the jetpack machine and I freaked out thinking they were trying to kill me so I stabbed them as they ran behind me.

I swear sometimes the game messes up and doens't show the team colors for people on your team.

That reminds me... I'm pretty sure it was last weeks game, anyone else notice that the game stopped displaying health above people when the got hit? I was hoping it wasn't just me.

I saw that too. You start shooting someone and they suddenly have no health and keep shooting you. It was like fighting zombies with guns.

I don't remember being stabbed there but I'm guilty of being a little too quick on tossing grenades when someone sneaks up on me.

I've noticed in a few games that sometimes when I stab someone, I hear the sound effect but the guy doesn't die. I'm thinking this is because of lag? or else there's some super soldiers running around out there.

That happens to me a lot, I'll run up to someone and stab them once (sometimes twice) without them dying. I think it is lag.
Just disappointing when I don't get the knife kill and the person that I stabbed twice.... runs off. :lol:

Just search for the server in the server browser and join using the password supplied in this thread.

You can add me if you want to play on Saturday, since I'm trying out doing a ranked server for a few weeks and I max out the Buddy Slots to prevent non CAGs from joining.

I am thinking of getting the all three booster packs, but I don't know if I should or should I just save some money and get just the new booster?

how do i join in the CAG clan? I just became a Chief Sergent and I use mostly tanks. I really want to play in a game where people are working together.
