CAGCAA - NCAA 09 Dynasty - 2009 Season - Week 19 Week Deadline: 6/7
If you guys still need a replacement I'll join as Indiana. Archsamurai11 is my gamertag as well.
I'll send you an invite later today.

I thought PitfallHarry quit but it says I'm supposed to play him this week. Pitfall are you still in the leauge? When can you play?
Sorry RIJ, I had to burn the midnight oil at work. I can possibly play today after 5:00 PM
It's alright. I have some stuff planned for today so I won't be able to play then. I could play tomorrow night around 7:30 PM.
man that was close...almost gotcha RIJ..
Yeah that was a very fun game. You had me worrying there at the end. Good game!

I haven't looked at the schedule yet, but if the league advances tonight I'll play my game if it is against the CPU. If I'm playing a human, I'd like to try to get our game in either tonight or tomorrow. I'm going to have to retire from the league tomorrow night since I'll no longer have the game come Tuesday.

Week 7 Recap:

The top 3 ranked teams remain and not much else can be said about the rest of the Top 25 this week. Losses for #4 Texas and #8 Arizona State brought some chaos, which lead to Clemson moving up to the #4 spot, Penn State to the #5 Spot, #11 FSU to the #7 spot, and #13 Texas A&M to the #8 spot, and Texas falls to the #10 spot to round out the Top 10. Undefeated teams are moving up the list quickly, as Boise State's now #16 while Arizona popped up to the #20 spot for their debut in the Top 25. This week's big losers, dropping out of the Top 25, are Illinois, Purdue, and Wake Forest while the big winners, making appearances in the Top 25 are Arizona, BYU, and Auburn.

The Heisman Watch has become a bit more stable this week as three of the five have stayed in their same spots with decent performances last week while the two receivers dropped for two more to join, with Derrick Williams of Penn State taking the #3 spot while Percy Harvin makes a reappearance in the Top 3 once again.

This week's National Offencsive Player of the Week is Clemson's HB, C.J. Spiller, while National Defensive honors go to the CB at Georgia, Prince Miller, so we having rhyming players of the week. Spiller is ACC Offensive Player of the Week by default while Pricne Miller is the default SEC Defensive Player of the Week. Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week is the new Heisman Hopeful Derrick Williams out of Penn State.

This week's schedule includes a few big games with Penn State hosting Michigan in Happy Valley while LSU visits South Carolina to try to turn things around after their loss to Florida last week. Undefeated teams in Big Ten conference play face off this week, as well, with Ohio State and Michigan State fighting to move to 4-0 and the second undefeated team remaining in the conference season so far.

The schedule:

Florida State (slickkill7) at NC State
Indiana (Archsamurai11)
at Illinois
Syracuse at South Florida (moonknight25)
Ohio State (FriskyTanuki) at Michigan State (XXXplosive1)
Georgia Tech at Clemson (Johnacon)
Michigan at Penn State (Dandeschain)
LSU (DJSteel) at South Carolina

Vanderbuilt at Georgia (FrankySox)

Byes: Florida (RawisJericho), Tennessee (pitfallharry219)
You've got the week off, RIJ, so you can just do your recruiting and retire when you get the chance. Thanks for sticking around.
No problem, good luck to you and the rest of you guys. I had fun.

I have a baby shower to go to today after the msu game is over (I know my boy is pussy whipped within an inch of his life, to have a male/female baby shower). So later tonight or tomorrow.

Ahh I thought it was play by Monday night. I can play mine tonight, but if you have advanced already, then I understand. My fault.

Was something up with the EA servers last night? I was connected to xbox live and could play other games fine, but it wouldn't let me do anything online in NCAA.

Hey guys, sorry to hijack the thread. Just a quick question. Picked up the game a little bit ago and finally recruited a decently fast QB. My question is, what's the button to slide with him while running, so he doesn't get pummeled? I've hit everything, can't figure it out.

Since a good number of you have yet to play your games, I'll extend the deadline to Friday. Please get your games done for those of you that have yet to play them (Franky, bennydc, archsamurai11, XXXplosive1). Let me know when you can play our game, XXX.

Also, if you don't intend to do your recruiting, please don't forget to set yourself as Ready to Advance, so you don't show up as not being done for the week.

The X button, the normal dive button, causes him to slide for some extra yards. Use this thread in the future for questions not relating to this dynasty.

I had the same issue connecting to the EA servers Tuesday night. Says cannot connect to the EA servers, but I was signed onto Xbox live just fine. I'm not sure if its my internet connection or what. I'll fiddle with it tonight and see if I can get it going.

Whats up with people still not playing their games? The extended deadline was Friday. I'm just hoping this dynasty continues...the first league I was in didn't even make it 3 weeks.

Week 8 Recap:

This past week was a fairly stable week with the only movement in the top 10 being that Texas Tech and Penn State switched spots for whatever reason that the voters had. We are starting to see the smaller undefeated teams rise up the rankings quickly as Boise State's moved up to the 12th spot and Arizona moved up five spots to the 15th spot. Losses for Texas A&M, Missouri, LSU, and Virginia Tech sent them plummeting down to the polls while VT dropped off of the Top 25 completely. Returning to the Top 25 for this week is Purdue.

This is the first week that BCS rankings are coming into play as the top ten is the same as the coaches' rankings, with Georgia and Ohio State tied for the top spot as they're headed for a clash at the National Championship game at the moment.

The Heisman watch is finally stable, as Noel Devine fell from the second spot to the fifth spot while the rest moved up a spot with no new faces this week.

No one important took home National Player of the Week honors, so we move to the ACC, where Antone Smith from Florida State took home ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors after his four touchdown performance against NC State. Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week was Indiana's Marcus Thigpen, with a big game against Illinois, racking up 188 yards rushing and three touchdowns. The Big East saw South Florida's Matt Grothe take home the Offensive award while Pitt's Scott McKillop earned the Defensive award. Georgia's Matthew Stafford earned the SEC Offensive Player of the Week award with his six touchdown performance against Vanderbuilt.

This week has a few big games that are sure to have an effect on the rankings as #2 Ohio State takes on #6 Penn State for a huge Big Ten matchup, though Michigan and Michigan State will meet-up in a big rivalry game that could definitely help turn Michigan State's poor start around as they aim for a bowl berth. #1 Georgia has another big SEC matchup in front of them as they visit head to LSU's house for what's sure to be a big game. The ACC plays host to a big game where Florida State plays host as the newly unranked Virginia Tech looks to find their way back into the Top 25 with a big win against the undefeated Seminoles.

Here's the schedule for this week:

South Florida (moonknight25) at Louisville
Northwestern at Indiana (Archsamurai11)
Virginia Tech at Florida State (slickkill7)
Rutgers at Pittsburgh (bennydc)
Michigan State (XXXplosive1) at Michigan
Ohio State (FriskyTanuki) at Penn State (Dandeschain)
Georgia (FrankySox) at LSU (DJSteel)

Byes: Clemson (Johnacon)
What team do you want?
I'll take the Gators, since I have to take a team from those specific conferences. Would love to take the Longhorns, but its all good. Would take the UK Wildcats, but that program is probably in a hell hole.

They're 5-2 at the moment, if you're still interested. Otherwise, I'll send you an invite for Florida.

I'll take my luck with the Cats. Because if I win in the SEC with them, then it'd be even sweeter. If not, it'll still be fun.
