Looks like Johnacon has left and I've kicked bennydc, so we're down to eight teams. The only downside is that we have just one team each left in the ACC and Big East, so we definitely need replacements for those two conferences by the end of the year. I'm thinking unless we get two guys to fill those holes that we'll have to move you guys to other conferences during the off season, or you could join together within a third conference.
Week 10 recap:
We may be leaner, but we're definitely getting meaner as the season nears the climax, the National Championship. Florida did everyone a huge favor by knocking off what was the unstoppable force called Georgia, letting the immovable object called Ohio State take over the #1 spot with #2 Oklahoma now being the runner-up and new title contender while Georgia rests now at the #8 spot. #5 Texas Tech received their first loss of the year to Texas, dropping to the #11 spot. That leaves six remaining undefeated teams this week for those keeping an eye on a potential cluster

at year's end. Arizona keeps a great year going as they beat USC, pushing them to the #24 spot and nearly out of the Top 25 for possibly the first time in a long, long time. Texas A&M also suffered a huge drop, from #12 to #21, after being upset by 2-5 Colorado, but they have a shot at Oklahoma this week to rebound. New this week to the Top 25 are Michigan, Auburn, and Tulsa while Wisconsin, Purdue, and Cincinnati make an exit from the big party. Michigan State should note that they are #26, waiting for an invite to the Top 25, which is huge for them after that disasterous start. LSU's right behind them at the #28 slot.
The Heisman Watch is largely the same, with Knowshon staying at the top despite a poor game at Florida, both statistically and because of the loss. Derrick Williams of Penn State dropped off of the watch so that Noel Devine can reappear once more.
Florida State's Myron Rolle took home the ACC Player of the Week honors this week with an amazing 13 tackles, a sack, 2 INTs, and a forced fumble. Indiana swept the Big Ten Player of the Week awards with QB Kellen Lewis and ROLB Will Patterson putting up great stats to help their team beat Central Michigan. LSU's Keiland Williams earned SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors with a great 5 TD performance and nearly 250 total yards of offense.
The great news is that the NCAA Awards are being decided, so we'll have an idea of who is up for what awards this season. Check the OP to see the Top 3 and where your players may stand or boot up the game and see if any others have a long shot at winning. With a quick tally, Ohio State is up for six awards, Florida State for 5 awards, and Georgia and Florida are tied for 4 awards each.
As the season nears its end, the worse teams are looking to secure bowl games while the better ones are aiming for BCS bowls, so with that, we will see who are contenders and who are pretenders during week 11. Wisconsin and Indiana, two teams you wouldn't think would be at the same record at this time of the year are fighting for a bowl spot this week. Penn State looks to rebound and show that they're still contenders for a BCS bowl as they look to beat up on Iowa, who is still looking for their first Big Tenn win. The steam-rolling Spartans of Michigan State are looking to take down the Purdue Boilermakers and reach the Top 25, and Lee Corso thinks they can do it. LSU's looking to get back into the game and take down #18 Alabama to ruin their chances for a big bowl game this winter. Georgia's going to be pumped up this week to rebound after their huge overtime loss to Florida and Kentucky's the unfortunate follow-up act. Ohio State looks to prove that they can handle the #1 spot as they take on Wilbon's Northwestern Wildcats, who managed to break their 3 game losing streak, but may start another with Michigan following Ohio State for sloppy seconds. The biggest game of the week is easily the clash of the ACC titans as #3 Clemson and #4 Florida State get it on to see who's looking in on the National Championship party starting next week. I'm adding a new feature to the recap's schedule, which are the picks that Lee Corso and Kirk Herbstreit make for each game, as a way to see who's a traitor to your cause and who's not. This week seems to be leaning towards the away teams, as at least one of the pair voted for an away team in each game, so it may not be a good week to be the host.
