CAGCAA - NCAA 10 Dynasty - 2011 Season - Week 19 Deadline: 6/28

I've probably played like 10-15 seasons, with different teams, in both online/offline dynasties, over the last two years and I still haven't had anyone transfer onto my team.
 
I had that happen with Toledo in NCAA 09, as I got a great running back that was second fiddle somewhere and made it easier to win games from then on.
 
We are now on the third week of the off-season, which is the first week of recruiting for the off-season. Be sure to get on and get your recruiting done to fill up any remaining holes you may have.
 
It's an outdated save on your system and the game isn't prompting you to download the latest file when you sign in for whatever reason it is since I get prompted to redownload it every time, even if I logged out a few minutes earlier. Try deleting it and getting back on and see if that fixes it.
 
I rented the game, and unfortunately don't have it anymore. I might pick it up again if I can find a good group to play online with.

And I see you conviently have a need for The U!
 
Hey Frisky would you want to go through the horror of seeing a Browns game? I ask cause I was thinking as a thank you for running the dynasty I'd invite you up for a game if you are interested.
 
I say we keep moving it forward, the CPU seems to know what it is doing. I missed the first week and still had 11 signings.
 
Thanks for the offer, UMX, but I'll have to decline. I'll be happy if you guys just keep playing your games and keep this dynasty running smoothly.
 
What's wrong with it? Unless I'm missing something from the profile, he hasn't had a 360 for long, so it's understandable that he wouldn't have five stars yet unless he's played a ton of MP, which doesn't seem to be the case from what he's played.

I'll send you an invite when I get the chance, which might not be until the morning.

I got my xbox with the overstock cb and 50$ rebate so I've only had it for about a month. I've played l4d and borderlands mp but not long enough to actually make any playing friends, and none of my real friends are active on xbl.

Ya! Is that over Thanksgiving weekend? I'm going to be up at my gf's house and her sister goes to USF, so we better win. Her other sister goes to FSU so if we can beat USF we'll have bragging rights for the whole house!

Kinda sad we let this season slip away though. When we were 5-1 I said the two games I'm scared of are UNC and Clemson because we always have letdowns against them. I think in 2005 we were ranked in the top 5 UNC beat us and its been downhill since then. Well...look what happened. I'm not sure Randy Shannon will end up being the answer, I don't think he can keep a team focused through an entire season.
 
I still need to manually finish up my recruiting, not all of us are rolling with 6 star teams. I do finish my stuff quickly each week, so I wouldn't have a problem having a one day deadline for the next couple of recruiting periods (I'm already finished for this week).
 
I'm pretty sure whoever had them quit pretty early on, so it was a lot of user games against a CPU controlled Miami.
 
They arent as bad as their record....I lost to them due to relentless pressure from their d-line. On another note, I will need all of my recruiting weeks to stock up some redshirt players for the next few years!

Done with recruiting for this week. Unfortunately my glaring holes are at C (0) and FB (0), and lucky for me the computer didn't manage to recruit any of those positions, and now there aren't any targets left.

Are there any positions you can switch to fullback? I remember trying in my offline dynasty when I had about 12 HBs but they all are rated 40 FBs

I did that. Got an error message about the dynasty servers being offline, so I tried later and it opened up as the old one, because on the recruiting screen it said "Advance to week 4" in the bottom right, and we're supposed to be on week 4, right?
 
We are now in the final week of recruiting. I would have had it advanced last night, but I had an internet outage and was without it until a few hours ago.
 
Finished up my recruiting. DAMN YOU Frisky for somehow taking that 5 star #1 DT away from me. I was sure he was mine and then I see COMMITTED TO OHIO ST. ARGH!
 
We are now out of the recruiting period and Penn State has upset Ohio State in having the Top Recruiting Class, though I had one more 4 or 5 star recruits than they do. Florida is third, LSU was fourth, and USC was fifth.

There was an odd recruiting reflection week where there was nothing to do, so I moved us past that. We are now in the position changes week, so get on by Friday and get your positions adjusted if they need it.
 
We are now onto the next week, which was the Training Results week. Since there's nothing to do besides seeing how your players improved, we've moved to the week after that, which is the week of cuts. That is the last week before we move to the Pre-Season.

Also, FrankySox and Ultimate Matt X, you guys can return to handle your other off-season tasks now that recruiting is over.
 
Is there anyway to get around the player minimums at a position during cuts. My team does not use tight ends in any formation so keeping 2 on the roster really sucks.
 
I don't think so, though you just have to find people you can live without. I had to cut a few four star recruits that I didn't want to because they were at positions that were well-staffed already, though I did keep my very promising freshman QB/Athlete I picked up.

I kind of wish this week was merged with Position Changes so I could move guys around and see who might be malleable to determine who I can cut or not. Cut week also happens after training, so some backups I didn't think would contend for a starting spot made big strides and messed things up.
 
That sucks, my roster for all last year did not have a tight end and now I have to waste two spots on people who will never play.

Are we going to try and do 2 games a week this season?

I was wondering this too; I have a bunch of guys I may RS if we are planning to keep this going for longer than this upcoming season.
 
I'm going to get on today around 4pm est time to do my redshirting and stuff. I would have done it last night but my internet was down for some reason.
 
I caught the dreaded RROD today so I'm going to be out inactive until I get my 360 back. I still want to participate in the league so can you just put me on vacation mode or something until I get it back? Thanks.
 
We are now in the Preseason, so make sure you get on and get your initial recruiting set up, redshirt players, set your depth chart, and I'll take care of the out-of-conference schedules. Let me know of any teams you'd specifically like to face and I'll see what I can do.

We do have new rankings so you can see where you're at from the start of the season, though we won't have full rankings until the preseason is over.

Speaking of schedules, I hope USC gets its chance to climb back into the TOP25 as in real life as their games are usually on TV and against good opponents.
