Hey guys,

Rams owner here. I looked through the free agents through the Connected Careers website and selected Kellen Winslow to add to my roster. This was a few days ago, and the pick was documented by n8 in his subsequent FA posts.

I just signed on to find out Winslow is on the Seahawks roster. Was he always there? Or did my NFC West rival just steal my pick???

He posted that he was signing him. I'm guessing that he looked in game, saw that he was available, and didn't check the thread.

OK, well dude needs to un-sign him.

Also, I had tried to sign Winslow when I claimed him. I did it through the Connected Careers website, and after I went through the process, it said something like "the player will get back to you." How do you just sign a player without having that waiting period? Do you offer more money?
OK, well dude needs to un-sign him.
Apologies on Winslow--I did check the thread but somehow completely missed Winslow. I've been a little under the weather today so I'll blame that :p

Will drop Winslow immediately so the Rams can get him, and will find another FA.

EDIT:

Team: Seattle Seahawks
Sign: E.J. Henderson MLB
Re-Sign: Evan Moore, TE (Cut him for Winslow earlier, re-signing for roster spot)
Release: Heath Farwell MLB
Release: TE Kellen Winslow (for Rams to pick up)

4th'd? 5th'd? More than seconded. Some people can't handle being told the rules I guess.

Taking a hurry up with three timeouts while up four TDs is against the rules, I'm sorry if that offends you.

That's not how networks work. I believe you'll find this helpful:
Honestly, why the fuck wouldn't you just speak up on your mic that you had on the entire game.
I don't have a mic... my Kinect might have picked audio up, but trust me if I had a mic I would have used it.

Not surprised that the website and the game would function completely differently, lol. In the game, they tell you exactly what they want, you make the offer, and it's accepted instantly.

Ehh...I'm not sure that I'd say it's "against the rules". It only being the 1st half being the difference maker. I'd definitely call it extremely aggressive...and like I said, I probably wouldn't do it. But with an entire half of football left to play, there shouldn't be an expectation to run out the clock yet...even in the 3rd quarter, it's an "at your own discretion" thing. In a closer game, using a hurry up there would be an obvious call. With that big of a lead...it's aggressive, for sure. But the game definitely isn't "in the bag" at that point.

Seahawks defeat Rams 34-14. All seahawks points were in the first half.

Game by the numbers was pretty close, except for the 5-0 turnover ratio in favor of me. Rams had some very rough turnovers early (one after another after another if I remember correctly) that gave me the 17-0/24-0 lead pretty early. For the 'legit' drives not off of turnovers we were pretty even.

GG lyric. Sorry about the Winslow snafu again, I'll be sure to read the list closer next time.

As an aside, I was up 24-7 at the end of the half, and ran on two straight plays with about 50-60 secs left. Rams took a time out after the second run play. I took this as a sign that they'd take a TO on the next play too, so I passed, got to mid-field, and decided to pass the rest of the drive, ultimately ending in a TD. Felt a little dickish doing hurryup at that point but it just ended up playing out that way. It was a 17 point difference at the time, so it wasn't a complete blowout.
cbrigante was supposed to PM me about a time he could play, but I haven't heard back from him.
Deadline is going to be extended a day due to free agency taking longer than I planned. If you want to try again with him tomorrow, that's cool. If you still can't get the game scheduled, let me know and I'll put him on auto pilot.

GG. Man, I don't think I've ever had three INTs in three passes before. I really, REALLY suck at this game.

Didn't think you were playing dickish at all there at the end of the half. I wanted the ball back —$and foolishly thought I had the skill to do so. However, I do question a little your attempting a pass on third and long in the fourth when you were up by 20 points, but the ball just bounced off your wide-open receiver's hands. So, I'll chalk that up to the Madden gods not wanting you to play that way!

Also, Cardinals owner: If everything goes as planned, I will be moving to a new home on Saturday and won't have Internet until Monday at the earliest. There is a possibility you may have to play the CPU.

I don't understand this deadline extension. Is it a deadline as in today the eleventh is the last time to play games, and we will advance in the morning, or was today the deadline and we will be advancing this afternoon?

It's an extra day. So, the advancement is going to be tomorrow morning. I didn't want to do it this way, but with everything going on, I didn't move the free agent groups along like I wanted to (my intent was to do 3 groups a day). My other though was to make the groups bigger...but then I figured I would have gotten a million "How come X teams gets to pick the same as when I do when they have more wins!?!" Damned if you do I tell ya, lol.

Yeah, it needs to be PMed to the Trade Committee.

I agree though, 49ers win this deal by a lot.

i know they get a top CB and a TE with 88 speed who is a very good WR TE for davis who is also a very good TE-WR, Top 5 TE but i think there should be some picks or something to even it out a little.

Trades are not to be proposed (or discussed for that matter) in the thread. You got a response the last time you posted this telling you the same thing.
