Christ...this was the first Madden i've bought in several years and it'll probably be several more before I get the next one. I picked it up this year because of the new engine, and while it's promising, there are too many things broken and exploits that you can take advantage of. That's just the gameplay side of things...then you have this problem with the contracts and no telling what else...the EA Madden website having a terrible design and is just overall annoying to use.
I honestly might just take a hiatus from the league. Everyone i've played with has been great but this game finds ways to make you not want to play anymore.
I bet you can't wait for that first EA UFC game now, huh? lol
Madden actually has a day for this already. Before there's the free for all, there is a day or maybe 2? where you can sign or franchise any one going to be a free agent. As I said above, it sucks EA messed this up but nothing crazy bad because you will get that exclusive chance to resign those guys first.
Yeah, except that doesn't address the issue of so many contracts coming off the books at the same time. From what I'm seeing, it looks like there are contracts that SHOULD expire this year and then additionally, contracts that shouldn't be expiring. So, you're having to assign money (and most likely give raises) to players who should still be locked up...thus taking away funds for players who actually should be free agents. This is how you end up with more players to re-sign than you have cap room for. All these contracts shouldn't be expiring at the same time. I just don't understand how they screw something like this up. This isn't physics or programming limitations. It's basic "pay the

attention to your job" skill level. It's unbelievable that they can't get simple things like numbers right. Yes, we can deal with it...but you can eat a shit sandwich and call it "lunch" too, lol.
