Okay, just booted up my Xbox and went into the FA screen, want to make sure I got this right.

I made offers to the 2 guys I never had a chance to resign, RT Jeremy Trueblood and WR Preston Parker. Didnt make offers to anybody else.

I looked around to see who was available and did notice one offer that seemed out of place to me, but they may be connected to trades that happened this year that I just missed so if thats the case then please disregard any of this. Jets had an offer to QB Matt Schaub. Did he get traded during the season?

Only 2 players I am interested in FA (won't mention who right now), hoping they don't get offers this round. I saw Greg Jennings got one, I had been considering him...

Also, apparently even though in my resign screen it said Connor Barth was unavailable, the game decided to pay him $3.3 mil a year. Needless to say, he got cut real fast after seeing that.
 
I honestly don't think this 1 week exclusive rights thing is gonna keep many players from holding out for other offers. In my experiences offline, most players don't sign at the end of week 1 unless you really blow them away or they are a lower rated player. I imagine the low coach legacy scores won't do us any favors either.

Probably not but it's not going to hurt us either. Better to give people the chance to undo any EA screwing.

Well, they'd probably have to get a new football game for that, but you know what I mean.

Hopefully it will be between Friday night and Sunday night. I could see Friday night or Saturday during the day being a good time. We will advance to week 2 of open FA tomorrow. Then Friday sometime week 3. Then to the week right before the draft I believe, which really could come a hour or two before the draft because it shouldn't take you that long anyway, which would be the last week to scout, and then the draft.
 
Yeah, I'm thinking/hoping that Sunday will be the day/night. Just to make sure we have enough time for all the other stages. I think the other league took less than 24 hours for the last round of free agency, right?

The I think the other league only took Friday-Sunday for all of the off-season.

Well I'm thinking that if we advance to Round 2 tomorrow around the same time, that puts us at Round 3 Friday night and Round 4 Saturday night. Hence why my guess is Sunday. Either way, I guess we'll have to see what's what.

Yes, but isn't round 4 just scouting? I don't see how that would take that long, I could be mistaken though. I don't remember exactly what order everything went in.
 
Update: 16 teams are ready to advance (well, 17 counting me...I just haven't selected it because I want to be able to monitor the FA offers to make sure everything is on the up and up).

Yeah, I'd like to get this set too. I dont really mind it being Sunday but would like to know in advance since I have buddies from North Carolina coming up Saturday night and they'll be staying into Sunday.
 
Made my two offers to Hartline and Jennings...glad I looked last night, didn't realize Jennings was leaving, wasn't on the list in the first round.

As for the draft, I might be able to do Sunday, but don't schedule it around me. If i gotta let CPU do it for me, I don't mind.
 
Also you can't make a draft board. So if you can't make it the cpu is going to get whoever. Another EA screw up..
 
So we will be advancing to full out free agency tonight around 7:30pm EST? Just want to make sure I have everything in mind. I'm not sure how well my online offers yesterday went. Steve Smith apparently even turned down my 7 million/year overpay. And even depth guys went straight to free agency. I don't think anyone signed that round, so hopefully they do this one.

For me it's any day of the weekend before at at 3. I can do earlier, but have to leave out at 5:30pm est. If its any time before that, I won't be able to join.

Does anyone wonder how screwed we will be in a few seasons, when the back loaded contracts catch up with everyone?
 
lol ya but odds are the leauge will only make it to 3 years games been out since august took till about mid dec. to do the offseason and everything. so thats about 4 months maybe a little less for one season. so april will be about the end of the second season and about 4 months from there its august again and we would be wrapping up the the 3rd season.

if we made advancements quicker it might affects us becuz we would do about 4 seasons.

in the other league we prolly make it 4 seasons and be done after that from 1 season taking so long and people just getting tired of the game as well.

We didn't start till at least mid September, roughly 3 months a season.

I say max will probably be 4 seasons total.

I'm still waiting on a trade to get approved to clear up some more cap space. I need it cause without it I will most likely get outbid on 1 of the 2 players I want.
 
well i have about 15 million in cap space i can use but id like to only use about 7 of maybe even 8-9 of it.
