CAGLS: Madden 13 Gentlemen's League - We Finished! Thanks for Playing!
Any of those work for me. Just not Monday.

Also, I forgot to set myself to "Ready", but I am good to go. I resigned Clady, and Bannan. Hopefully they will accept, as I offered more than they wanted.

Does anyone wonder how screwed we will be in a few seasons, when the back loaded contracts catch up with everyone?
You can set yourself ready from the website FYI.

When we send in trades we're only factoring in the remaining contract, correct?

Meaning I'd have to add up the remaining contract myself, not go by the total on the screen.

Yes, it will be under their player card->contracts. Whatever is remaining in those years is what someone else would pay, that doesn't include whatever bonus you would be paying them those years.

Alright, that's what I thought. Im not as knowledgable on football contracts as I am with hockey and especially baseball.

I'm on the games menu so I'm just adding the remaining years together with my phones calculator :)

I'm with blade, I'd like to see if our trade is approved before we advance so ill know I have enough! I don't want to over extend of course as I hav a very specific need I need to bid on.
So we will be advancing to full out free agency tonight around 7:30pm EST? Just want to make sure I have everything in mind. I'm not sure how well my online offers yesterday went. Steve Smith apparently even turned down my 7 million/year overpay. And even depth guys went straight to free agency. I don't think anyone signed that round, so hopefully they do this one.
Yes, that is correct. We'll be advancing in just under 4 hours...unless everybody readies up before then.
I suggest something like:

A. Saturday 3PM EST
B. Saturday 7PM EST
C. Sunday 3PM EST
D. Sunday 7PM EST
All those times work for me, so I'm fine with having that as a general outline. I would add one more option though (Sunday 1PM EST), since there does seem to be a conflict on Sunday...and I'm hoping we can find some kind of compromise.
We didn't start till at least mid September, roughly 3 months a season.

I say max will probably be 4 seasons total.
Yeah...that seems pretty accurate. With offseason and preseason, it put us a little slower than last year...but we also got an earlier start. Doing 4 seasons seems about right. I know people always make the argument for speeding up the pace, but we ALWAYS have unplayed games on the day of the deadline. I don't want to speed up the pace just to end up simming more games. Sometimes, there's only so much you can do. And there's always the option of not buying next year's game and just continuing with this franchise! (ha...I'm sure people will go for that)
I'm on the games menu so I'm just adding the remaining years together with my phones calculator :)
This is exactly what I did, lol.

Sunday at 1 still poses a problem for me, as we have to leave around 130. Not sure how much of the draft we'd get through in 30 minutes.

Hah, I was going to suggest that too.

Well, it looks like there might not be a compromise then. We might just have to let people vote on the times and let the chips fall where they may. Not sure what else to do. At any rate, I'll send out a PM and have people list ALL times that they could make it.

lol i have 2 picks total i dont care wut time we do the draft. wutever works for the people that are active on the thread is way i plan to vote since i think they help keep the league alive more than anyone else that isnt active

True dat

at this point im just ready to test out my team. i wish they had atleast practice mode during the offseason or even let us scrimmage with out team against eachother. maybe madden 14 big sigh
49ers send:

WR Michael Crabtree Age 26 OVR 83(in my scheme) 2 years left (2.88m, 3.45m)

Texans send:

Jets 2nd round pick (57th overall pick)
Texans 2nd round pick (50th overall pick)
Trade Rejected

The committee felt that this was too much for Crabtree and suggested that a 2nd and 3rd round should be enough.
Bears send:

FB Evan Rodriguez, age 24, 63 overall, 3 years left at 1.64 million

Raiders send ROLB Keenan Clayton, age 26, 70 overall, 1 year left at 780k.

Reason for the trade is Rodriguez was a TE in college and I'd actually place him there as my starter since I already have Marcell Reece as my FB and I'm letting Brandon Myers go. Rodriguez has 82 catch rating which is what I was looking for.
Trade Approved

Resubmitted a new deal.

Everyone on the Browns is available except Trich(unless its a RB I like better). Brady is available.

All my picks are available too because I don't think I'll be able to make the draft. Offer up trying to move the picks fast.

Looking for LBs and CB with high speed ratings. Also looking for a more mobile QB than Brady. Looking for a good pass catching TE. Better receivers. Offer up!

You can always have Christian Ponder, he's pretty quick ;)

Bucs are still looking to move into the top 10, preferably around picks 6-9. Willing to move my first rounder (12th pick) and others.

For players, my trade block is as follows but I'm really open to offers on anybody:

WR Mike Williams
LE Michael Bennett
CB Eric Wright
TE Dallas Clark
QB Josh Freeman
RE Adrian Clayborn

Looking for WR, LB, DB, and FS.

Well, this is definitely going to get the committee to work faster. Part of me wants to report this as an offensive post, lol.

Haha I am just bored. I was sitting here and thought maybe I could find some vote for me meme.
i already ate dinner im not hungry :)
Honestly, I'd love to advance now, so I could relax and watch a movie with my wife. Not sure if that would piss anybody off though. This is why readying up is ideal.

Making a count now, there are really only 7 teams who aren't "ready"...some of whom we haven't heard from in quite awhile.
Approve our trade then advance lol
Can't approve it when I've only heard back from 2 people...one of whom still didn't like it, lol.

but u can still advance us

Nope. I just foresee several more trades coming through. Not that I haven't been working the trades, but I don't think what I want is out there.
