CAGLS: Madden 13 Gentlemen's League - We Finished! Thanks for Playing!

Does anyone know how easy it is to trade picks during the draft? Just thinking about if, on draft day, I want move move up or down from the pick I got from the Titans.

You can only do it on that current pick. So like if you wanted to trade your 1st round pick if would be on that pick which you would have 2 minutes to get an offer and accept it. It can be done straight from in the draft though.

Ok, well it's probably easy enough to negotiate privately before the pick comes up so that you're prepared when the time comes. Thanks.
I withdrew my offer to Wallace. I likely wouldn't get him, and it gave me a chance to up my standing offers and make offers to new guys before the first week is up.
See I was thinking about doing this as well, and just make a really good offer to one player. I think I am going to let this week play out, if nothing happens then I am going to only go after one of the 2 I wanted.

If anybody in the mid-late first round (roughly picks 15-25) is looking to trade their pick, I'm willing to offer my other draft picks and players if interested.

Are you looking to trade down from whichever pick you are or are you trying to accumulate picks?

I'd like another first rounder if possible. Currently have the 12th pick.

The saints are looking for a big time receiver. I am not sure what my draft pick is but i am assuming its around 15-20ish and I am willing to trade it. PM me!
I'm probably most interested in a 2nd round pick. Would trade multiple 3rd, 4th, etc, as ill likely miss those later rounds.
What pick are you?
Broncos Send
4th Round Pick

For

Cardinals Send
Jeff Demps, HB, 42 OVR, 2Yrs, 1M left. Age 22 (67OVR in my Scheme)

The reason I am doing this is to get an all star return man, so I don't have to start my star wide receiver back there. I am probably over paying for him, but I think he is worth it.
Trade Approved
Falcons send:
Michael Turner OVR 96 Age 31 TOT: 30 mil
2013: 7.25 12 mil bonus

Asante Samuel OVR 84 Age 32 TOT: 12 mil 2013 4.00 2014 4.00

Colts send:
Reggie Wayne OVR 83 Age 34 TOT: 18mil 2013 5.91 2014 7.08

Vernon Davis OVR 90 Age 29 TOT: 24 Mil 2013 4.13 2014 5.37 2015 6.99

He has zero CBs and needs a starter. I've got 2 up and coming RBs and I'm in desperate need or a TE.

(Turners OVR was actually 96 when I put it in the correct scheme)
Trade Rejected

Sorry to say it, but really not much changed here. The committee recognized that Turner's OVR is higher under a different scheme, but that just raised the question if you could say that for all the players involved (Davis especially). Ultimately, what was focused on here was age and contract. Turner is older than Davis and only has one year left on his deal while Davis is locked up for the next few seasons.

Because of this, several people still felt that more needed to be going back to the Colts. If you guys want to supplement with a draft pick or another player (didn't get any actual suggestions from the committee though...but I did ask to include what would even out the trade if they disapproved) and resubmit, you're welcome to do so. I'm trying to work this one out for you guys. I think people just really see the value in a TE like Davis.

One other thing is I think people are growing weary of the "in my scheme" reasoning. It makes OVR's so hard to really gauge, at some point they start to feel useless. Honestly, I'm not even totally sure what benefits schemes serve. It's my understanding that a player gains XP more quickly if he's in the right scheme. Is that right? Otherwise, all it changes is OVR...which just makes things more confusing.

Really, I'd like to have proposals list the key attributes depending on the position of the player, but I feel like people would argue what "key" actually means. Really wish EA would have just left OVR alone...not that it's the be all end all of evaluating trades. But it at least provides a base to start from.

I have the 11th overall. So add 32 to that for each round after. I also have DVO's 4th, not sure the overall pick number.

Edit: and I have N8's 3rd.

I have the 32nd pick in the draft, I'm looking to move up between 10-15. I'd give up my 1st and 2nd rounders. Let me know.

I didn't eve see the text in the pm about what would need to be added. For me, I think it would need to be at least a 3rd rounder, possibly second, going back to the Colts.

Lets advance im home for like 15 minutes more then i have to leave and go back to work 24 hour duty sucks big time

how come everyone says wallace wants more years when i try to sign him it says he wants 5 years and jennings wants 6. do peoples screens say different things? i remember reading that someone said people are more interested in wallace becuz he has more years which means less money over time

Quick question is if my front page says 2.06 million in cap space and then when I go into free agent offers it says I have 590k of cap space what one is right I don't want to get screwed out of not being able to sign my picks.

I saw that comment also, but didn't bother to look at what Jennings wanted. I looked and I see the same numbers as you.

I just want to see who signs when we advance. I hope Wallace makes a decision and doesn't wait until the last day. Having that money tied up and then not getting him with no chance to sign anyone else would be disappointing.

The game sets aside cap money for draft picks to automatically sign them.

Jump out of Connected Careers, then back in. It should update. In short though, it's the one in the FA area.

If I'm reading it right, the cap space in free agent offers screen is what your cap is after making offers to FA's. money is set aside for the rookies.

Thanks Kaster (and others), I just didn't want to get screwed on draft day and not be able to sign any of my picks (which is where I plan to shore up any depth issues).

ya thats kinda how i feel but i really need n8 to advance i have like 10 minutres till i have to go i want a chance to look at this before i go back to work for another like 14 hours. 29 day of work FML

Pretty sure it would be the number on the free agent offers page. Rookie contracts are already factored into your cap number.

You are correct. Wallace wants 5, Jennings 6.

The front page is incorrect. The page where you select free agents to sign is correct.
Am I the only one that made notes in a little book of what players I want with what picks?
I keep a notepad document haha.
Am I the only one that made notes in a little book of what players I want with what picks?
I have a document on my computer, but pretty much. I have players I deemed as draftable listed by projected round with notes telling me what they are good at, what their flaws are, and what round I would be willing to take them in. I just wish I had more picks, especially higher ones.
