CAGLS: Madden 13 Gentlemen's League - We Finished! Thanks for Playing!
I've only gotten 2 response on the new Revis proposal in case anyone is wondering.

Sorry, my power is out, along with most of the town's. Not sure when we will get it back, hopefully before the Panthers game, or at least the draft. I am on my phone now.
Back now. I should be good to go. Also, I voted for the trade.
Am down to party up.
I might jump in also. We'll see how the night goes.

well the cowboys need to win today. Falcons helped them big time by handling the giants. steelers arent gonig to give it to the cowboys either so im hoping romo doesnt mess up today

EDIT: anymore news on the bengals/jets trade. if it doesnt get passed we already have 2 reconstructed trades we came up with before hand so we are prepared and ready to go

trade deadline involving picks ;) trust me my reconstructed trades have every situation covered
Where do we find what pick we have?

Thru the website or the game itself?
go in the game act like ur making a trade and then go to picks in the trade area and it will list all ur picks and the poisition they are in

Blade, can you send me the trade request? I'm in the process of getting ready for work. If its approved I can jump on real quick and agree. I've got to head out exactly at 6pm.

I'll send it, but make sure it's accepted first. Also, you can accept from the website and the other person doesn't have to be online.

How can you be thinking about the draft with this game going on?!! :p

I don't think we have it in the bag haha, but we are off to a good start.

The Revis trade is being voted on. I haven't heard anything yet on a Dolphins trade. Six minutes for new trades! Good luck in the draft everyone!

I sent a trade request to nate for approval about ten mins ago. I realize this is last minute, but is there someone else I am supposed to send the request to, and when will I know once it is approved?

Both parties are online waiting for the traade to be approved.

Thanks!

Trade Rejected

I'm really going to ask that these trades be thought through a little better. After the unanimous rejection of the first proposal, it was asked that deal be reworked. Within 10 minutes, a new proposal was submitted adding 3 draft picks and an 80s rated CB. This kind of swayed the committee to the other side, thinking it's TOO MUCH for one year of Revis.

The problem we have here is it starts to feel like things are just being thrown at the wall to see what will go through. It doesn't feel thought out at all, based on the time between proposals and the huge swing in value. Nobody has a problem with the Jets trading Revis to free up that money to sign other players, and no one has a problem with the Bengals acquiring Revis. But these proposals just feel incredibly rushed, and really no one on the committee has expressed any level of comfort with them.

Seriously, I'm asking everyone to give your proposals some thought. This should be about what works for your team...not just whatever it takes to get a player. Some of the negotiations I've had with people have spanned several days and 8-10 PMs of offers and counter offers. I don't feel like that's what we're seeing with some of these trades.

we had our trade pre made incase of rejection but since this one is rejected as well and our other one involves a pick are not allowed to summit it since its past the deadline even though we got the results after the dealine this one is in the middle of both the trades so it should be even like u want, plus the picks were 6ths rounders and one was a 1st rounder and last time u said this trade was WAY OFF so i added way more. so if its not so way off it shoudlnt be exaggerated so much. something in the line of its need something more added to would have been something that would have helped know wut u were looking for. and our trade were thought thru we had 3 reconstructed trades before we even had the first one we sent thru voted on and depending on what the results and info we got back from the first one we picked which one made mroe sense and we have had over about 40 to 50 text about our trade so we gave it some thought and every trade ive made works well for my team

You said he needed to offer WAY more, so we decided an 80CB and draft picks would fit that bill. We have been texting back and forth way more than 10 times trying to work out a deal.. the only reason it was re-submitted so quickly was because we had already talked about other offers beforehand. The only reason there was a rush to send it in is because the draft was approaching

another thing im wondering is u had 3 votes earlier out of 5 people u could have told u it was rejected then but u waited till all 5 votes, and yes i kinda feel like people are trying to block me from revis first one is not even close to enough next one is way to much. so the next one is in the middle lets see wuts going to happen this time.

What if 2 were no and 1 yes, he would have needed to wait.

well thats not the case he said everyone said no again swayed them to the other said of saying hes getting to much now

Do any of you think you're making this an easy process? I've got trades submitted with missing info, deals that are lopsided one way or the other, people trading picks numerous times, deciphering responses from committee members, etc, etc. Forgive me if everything doesn't get done on your timetable.

The reason the Revis deal was stated to need "WAY more" is because everybody laughed at Stephen Hill being considered a valuable chip. DVO traded for him early in season 1 and has been trying to get rid of him ever since once he found out that despite being fast, he has stone hands.

So, basically, that proposal was Lawson for Revis...which wasn't even close. But within 10 minutes...he's giving up a 1st round pick, 2 other picks and an 80s rated CB. Gripe to me all you want, but as I said, the way it was being approached was largely putting off the entire committee.

Where did I say the most recent vote was unanimous? Show me. I said everyone was uncomfortable. There were some yes's...but they were tentative.

well it shouldnt be about how fast they are summitted it should be about whats on the table. personal reasons shouldnt be invovled with the results of the trade just wuts being moved. but im not going to argue with u at all. trade has been sent back up and now waiting on the results. lol uncomfortable with voting on a trade. it sounds more like people are voting on personal reasons. if u dont want me to have revis please just tell me its fine

I apologize for submitting my trade without needed info. Sent a pm with the format you used for the revis trade. I am hoping it looks better. Thanks

it's either fair or not. not sure why it matters how it makes someone feel. Like I said, we were texting, and in those 10 minutes I'm sure we talked more about this trade than in any PM talks people have had.

The new format is much appreciated. :applause:
bengals send
43rd overall pick
for
WR Rishard Mathews overall 75
3 years left out 4 on 2mil contract (120k bonus)

Dolphins- have plenty of WRs and need to fill other spots

Bengals- everyone i scouted will be gone by this round and i wont find a WR with the attributes i want like Mathews has. he will start for my team in the slot.
Trade Approved

Appreciate the apology. It's not even like you do a lot of trades or are a big offender. It's just a crazy, insane time right now, so every little bit helps.

That's fine. And each of the first two proposals were on opposite sides of the spectrum. So, if the deal was discussed at length, you guys didn't really get anywhere.
