And troy, you had a game last season where Calvin had 17 catches. The record book also shows he had 360 yards in a game, which I'm guessing was the same one. But that's somehow different, right?

17 catches was definitely me, the 360 receiving yards was a sim game (like all of the falcons passing records from 2012). Calvin had 3 player of the weeks last year from sim games. But we are obviously done talking about that game so I won't post on it any further.

Also I've pm'ed the bucs twice, he hasn't responded yet. I'm hoping to not have to get this game done at the deadline.

Those Falcon stats are from my game with them last year. I didn't know how to play defense and he didn't either. I think it ended up like 65-58 or something like that.

He was taking on more hours at work, so he's going to be pretty busy. He's good about responding though, I am sure he'll get back to you!

Yeah, sorry Troy, been meaning to get back to you haha. You can play my CPU, I'm not really feeling madden this week anyway. I'll set myself to auto tonight when I get home.
 
Ok sounds good. I didn't know if my pm'ed weren't working or what was going on lol.

And dark I know some of the falcons were legit but I do remember laughing about the simmer falcons game scores and yards being ridiculous. Not that I care all that much lol (though I wish I had those receivers!)

I am looking for a top tier RB, if anyone is willing to trade one let me know. I'll also be contacting teams with RBs that I would be interested.
 
Just messaged DarkTower about our game.

I might as well start some early trade discussion as well. I will be looking for a MLB or possibly an OLB that isn't a pass rushing type. I might also be looking for a CB and a SS/FS depending on if Ed Reed retires or not. I have some MLB in mind that I want and will contact those teams.

Not sure who all will be on my trade block, but some names to expect are Paul Kruger, Sam Baker, and Doug Martin. I'll also be willing to trade my draft picks for a player I want. If I can't acquire any players through trades/free agency, then I will be looking to trade for more picks or trade up in the draft. I am missing my 3rd round pick, but should have all other rounds.

Nope. 2 Locker, 1 Washington. The Washington one just stings because I was in your territory, and it shifted the "who scores first" pattern we had followed up to that point. I was happy to have a tie game and be getting the ball to start the 2nd half...but that play gave it back to you, and I was playing catch up the rest of the way. Obviously, I had other losses that would have made a difference too...so blaming it on one game isn't really accurate. But for a game where I felt like I made no mistakes, that was a tough one to swallow.

do you know if theres another baseball game that does have online league play? I was considering getting this (just ordered my NBA 2k13) and was considering getting a baseball game too if it was worth it

Lol ya I feel you on the game mechanics this year. I don't think I'll be purchasing madden on the next box, possibly not this next one either.

Unless there's reason not to, I plan to do my game vs. the CPU Falcons sometime tonight or tomorrow. I know it sucks for the rest of the NFC wildcard race since I'll lock up the spot with a win, but with the owner gone until Monday, I don't see another way out except to take the sim, which doesn't seem right either.

1. I've set myself to auto, so Troy, you can play the CPU whenever.

2. Roughly speaking, is there any sort of timetable on when to expect the draft? I'll be out of town the 15th-18th for my birthday so really hoping it doesnt fall that weekend.

3. The entire Bucs roster is available for trade this offseason....this includes Ray Rice. I'm mainly looking for top WR's and/or CB's. Other positions I want to upgrade are FS, DT, OLB, and C. Picks are also available.

4. Does anybody here have Civ Rev? I picked up that and the Orange Box during the GOD sale, would love to play with some fellow CAG's!

Wow...so I've got a win and I'm in situation in my game against the Colts. And of course after missing his last 4-5 games, neworlbush responds to my PM right away saying he can play tomorrow night, lol.

I'm not sure if there's a better way to handle these CPU games. It makes me think "Oh, sure...doc got to play the Colts CPU, but I'm playing him twice"...but then I think most of have missed a few games here and there, so maybe it balances out. In a way, it seems like no matter what we do with the CPU teams (or even owners who basically just want to tank the rest of the season), it's going to affect standings/playoff races. I guess similar things could happen in the NFL too (teams tanking, resting starters, etc).

Haha the colts beat me his first game in the league after being a CPU team that was like 0-4 or 5. I thought it would be an easy win and we let him in in the week I played the colts! Lol

That was a crazy game lol. When I was down 2 scores I felt like it was impossible to come back. After my first possession I could hardly throw the ball on you except for a few lucky throws. Lucky was defiantly on my side.

Yeah, that's what I mean. So many teams have changed hands and gone back and forth from CPU to human, that I couldn't even guess what was really "fair" anymore. In general, I think we're all just doing the best we can. Nothing nefarious going on. My fate is in my own hands...and that's really the best I could hope for.

And it sounds like you got payback for that last pass to Daniels against me to set up your game winning FG, haha. ;)
 
Eagles finish 11-5. Not sure how the seeding is going to work whether me or the saints will get the 3 seed. Looking forward to the first round though, although vick is still out for the first week, and maybe even divisional game if i get there... looking forward to the offseason though i got some cap to cut
 
I tried my best to beat the Jets and end the season with a win, but fell right at the end. I was leading with I think about 24 seconds left when Jets scored a td to go up 20-17. Archie urban threw an int to seal the w for the jets.

Falcons v. Seahawks currently set for 7PM on the 7th (deadline date).

A lot of the other wildcard games may be done by then...so pressure's on! If I lose and anyone else wins, I don't trust Madden's tiebreakers one bit...and I'm probably losing conference tiebreakers to a few folks anyways, since I went 3-1 vs. the AFC.

If I beat the Jaguars on Thursday, I should swap spots with the Bengals if Madden gets the tiebreakers correct. I really need that home game.
 
Congrats to doc. He probably deserved it more than me anyway....but seriously...fuck THIS GAME.

After falling behind early, I was starting to heat up as the 2nd half opened, with Chris Johnson finally breaking big runs. Then...he partially tears his ACL...ON A TD RUN! He broke a tackle on his way into the endzone, stumbled in...and apparently is done. I've never seen that shit before, but holy fuck...when that happens, what can you do?

I fell behind again after that, down 21-9 (went for 2 on the CJ TD when I was trailing 14-9). After some improbable catches by my WRs (most of Locker's throws were terrible), I pulled to within 21-16, getting the ball back with 2 minutes left in the game. On the first play, I run a draw, and Danny Woodhead fumbles. I was out of timeouts, but thank God, since it was under 2:00, there was an automatic review and it was overturned.

A couple plays later, Locker makes another terrible throw to seal the game. But holy shit...not saying that neworlbush played bad or anything, but I think he could have INTENTIONALLY tried to fuck up in this one and the game would have just kept giving him the ball back. Wow...good riddance, Madden. I'm not touching your fucking ass for at least 3 weeks. All advancements will be done from the website (I'm going on vacation from 3/15 to 3/23 anyway), so nobody fuck anything up, or it's going to be "too bad, so sad, eat a dick". And I'm out!

Hahahaha yea that was a trippy game. I was 0-7 on third downs. Eli was 2-7.. Very weird game. Couldnt believe CJ tore the ACL, it was over after that
