Yeah but I hope we don't go too quick, I don't want to miss the draft with my work schedule (work nights Monday through Thursday). Especially since I'm gonna have a Top 10 pick. Wonder if you can draft/sign free agents from the web site.
Yeah, it will definitely be reasonable. More than likely, some people will think it's too slow and some people will think it's too fast. So, I figure I'll get pounded from both sides (that's what she said). Last year, you could draft from the website. I can't say how much more/less it'll be broken this year though, haha.
Did we have a FA period? Or will we? I'm missing Danny Amendola on my team!

I don't know if he's actually that great, but my WR group could certainly use the boost and the familiar name, and I saw he was in the FA pool.
We did. The Rams signed Kellen Winslow, TE and dropped Evan Moore, TE. We had talked about doing another one (I think we said Week 12 actually). There's probably not enough time to get one done before we advance, but I guess we could do one for Week 13 if people want to.
Good defensive struggle. Ended up missing 4 field goals total. 2 were just too long for Nick Folk and I think I got iced on the other 2. One to win in regulation and the other to win in OT. I thought Folk had a stronger leg, but I guess he is only 88 KPW. Ill be starting Tucker from now on as he is a bit stronger. Ray Rice ran strong for 170 yards, but couldn't get into the end zone. 100 yards receiving and 2 tds for Torrey Smith early on, but couldn't get anything done in the 2nd half.
So what are the rules on going for it on 4th and short instead of attempting a long(50+) field goal? I have seen NFL coaches do this sometimes if they don't think they can make the field goal and wouldn't gain much by punting.
Wait, how did you end up with Nick Folk? The Jets cut him during our round of free agency. I'm hoping that the CPU just happened to sign him during one of the many times the Ravens have been empty since then, and that you didn't do the signing yourself.
As for your question about 4th and short, I've always considered from your opponent's 33 yard line to his 49 yard line to be "no man's land". Some kickers have no trouble making 50+ yard field goals, but not everybody has a kicker with a strong leg (especially when you factor in wind/weather conditions). And like you said, there's not much to be gained from punting there. I think going for it under those circumstances is reasonable.
On the free agent thing for the off season, how will we be handling that since we have our own budgets this year? Bidding wars?

Free for all?
Yeah, once we hit the offseason, it's basically a bidding war. The game no longer handles free agents as "first come, first served". Players will consider offers from multiple teams and decide which one they like the best. You'll also be able to see which teams have put in offers on the players you're interested in.
