He sure is. I'll have both tomorrow also. I for one can't wait.

COD 3 i can wait for.. RSV + Smackdown vs Raw 2007 + Buying a house means I have to wait for COD3... too bad there isn't CheapAssHousing.com

IGN review is up, they gave it a 8.8. They say it's really good but really similar to COD2.

I don;t know if I can bring myself to buy this or not. A few months ago it would have been a no brainer but with Gears, Rainbow Six, and Zelda/Wii coming out I don;t think I can justify it.

Your situation is just like mine...except without the Zelda or Wii. I looked at the November releases and figured I'd have enough money to buy all the games I wanted. Not so, at this point I can only afford Guitar Hero 2 (which I purchased today...and beat instead of doing calculus) and I already paid for GoW a few weeks ago. Originally, I wanted to get COD3, Tony Hawk, Rainbow Six, Smackdown vs Raw, but I just can't. At this point I'm debating whether or not I should get Tony Hawk Project 8 or COD 3. But I'm leaning more towards Tony hawk since GoW will most likely pwn any other action game I play for the rest of the year.

There is, its called forclosures & HUDs

I don't know, that IGN review makes it sound pretty damn good to me, essentially single-player is more of the same from COD2 (which I enjoyed a ton), and multiplayer is even way better than COD2 (which is great news)

yeah if I want to f up my credit.. i'd just give you my credit card...

so many fucking good games so close to each other.. this one should have released maybe in december.. for sure it will get overshadowed by gow...

I dunno. GoW and COD3 are 2 different types of games. I'm for sure getting both later today. Prolly gonna play COD3 first since 2 was so badass.

I'm in the same boat. Paying 120.00 for 2 games is meh but i'm sure it will be worth it.

Well, the reviews are in, and it sounds like COD3 plays exactly like COD2, which, in my opinion, is a great thing. COD2 was the smoothest playing console FPS I've ever played, the controls are just perfect. Expanded, vastly improved multiplayer, and some new single player campaigns? Count me in! I'll be trading in Okami, NCAA Football 07, and Enchanted Arms on Friday, and picking COD3 up. Makes sense for me to pick this game up on Veteran's Day, right? ;)

Anyone who pre ordered this from GS/EB get a call about a shipping delay and to check your store for availability? Five of the GS/EBs in my area all have it in even for non pre orders except mine!

Yeah in driving around town today looking for gow, I saw stacks of COD3 every place I went.

I now have both this GoW, and Smackdown V Raw 2007 next week... hmmm I might even have to wait til next year to play this game
Can anyone comment on the Live play? The box said up to 24 players!
Ehhh...let's just say it took me around 10 minutes just to get in a game. Live play is really hard to get working, I've tried to use everything possible (accepting game invites from friends, custom search for games, quick match), and everytime I get an error when trying to join. After trying countless times I'll get in, but I have yet to actually play a decent game. The games either have only 2 or so people or have people who keep disconnecting and it's just not much of an actual game. Very dissappointed so far, COD2 was my favorite 360 game, and pretty much the only game I played, and it looks as though COD3 isn't changing that. I'm considering just selling my game either here or on eBay if I don't start enjoying it.

I haven't had any problems with COD3. And it's just like any other online game, you're at the mercy of random players. If you're playing a team game, and everyone drops, you're f*cked. It's the same in pretty much every game.

Man, I hope this game doesn't get overshadowed by GoW too much. I've just had an absolute riot on the first couple levels. Amazing game.

Here is a great tutorial on how to fix the problem you have encountered. :)

I played 2 Online games last night and didn't experience any lag at all.

How long did it take to get a 24 player game and was it ranked and did they fix that so you can play w/ friends on ranked or is that just player matches?

now that I can get into a game everytime its incredible and no LAG even with a full room.
Wow, I am REALLY impressed with this game...too bad it will get overlooked with Gears of War.
Can't wait till this ones price goes down.

Picked up my copy along with GOW at noon today. I only played about 10 minutes of it but from what I played it's fantastic. Graphics are much, much better than COD2 ( it still looks great) and the controls are still the same, except this time they added a sprint option by pressing down one of the analog sticks. Like somebody else mentioned before the 1st mission is awesome; allies running all over the place jumping over a wall while the enemies try to gun you down. It's more of the same but when it's this good there's no problem at all :)

Theres no lag online....ranked matches have gotten better but they are still difficult to get into at times...Veteran is really hard this time. I beat vet easily on 2 but this one is kicking my a$$

Forgive me if this has been mentioned, but Best Buy is selling it w/ the DVD of the movie, The Longest Day.

Same price as COD3 by itself.

Items sealed separately and bundled in a slipcase.

i loved the CoD games for the PC and hated the ones for the console. now that the console developers took over, i'm on the fence weither or not to get this.

Gears of War doesnt interest me at all...this? HECK YA!!! I LOVEEE WWII shooters if they're done right. Although I never played a console one...so if its anything like MEdal of honour rising sun or something for GC I'll hate it. Those controls were awful.

Wait you hated COD 2 on the 360...or are you talking about BRO etc...Its a good game.
You haven't played a COD game. They are waaaay better than Ea's series that went down hill after the first one. THis is a great game.
It is basically Battlefield 2 with no lag and in a ww2 setting

Does anyone know how to stop the countdown timer between games? Is there a way. It goes too quick and too many options to select before the game starts.

Is the new multi-player like BattleField? (That's what I've heard.)

Sorry, but i couldn't agree more with the lukewarm 1up review:

I also noticed, that the war 'stops' until you move forward. This is more pronounced than in COD2. Also, it does feel 'boxed it'; on an early mission, Germans are above you, as you move through a trench. You can get to the top of the trench, but you just can't move to where the Germans are. It's quite frustrating.

The graphics are about the same with one exceptions, explosions are much better. Shoting one of the red barrels that are all around the battlefield (WTF?) is very satisfing, with the delayed chain reactions. I've noticed that the framerate seems a bit less stable is single player.

This is the most accurate review I have read from 1up!

Should I get this on the 360 or Wii? The new controls for the Wii sound awesome, but I would like to play online. Dammit, I don't want to buy both games. Oh well.
