Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - Gen. Discussion & Info

Mine just finished DLing.. It adds a link at the bottom of "Find Match" that says Variety Pack Team Deathmatch and Variety Pack Team Objective... So they wont be in the normal cycle

damn my insomniac ... i'm gonna sleep through the release ... i guess i'll have a chance to play it after my one and only class tomorrow at around 11.

And i just saw the creek video ... Damn that map is gonna be awesome.

So how about it, CAG friday match?
 
Less than 4 hours. I decided to stay up through the night and try to get to sleep around 10-ish tomorrow/today (Friday) since my sleep patterns have been fucked up, so I will likely be playing most of the day.
 
I couldnt sleep, so I decided to check if the maps where up.
Put in COD4 and got an update.
Now in the multiplayer section, there is an option to download maps.
Cant do it just yet, but its only a matter of time :bouncy:

Upon further review, I'll likely be able to play for an hour to an hour and a half after the maps come out before going out to breakfast. Afterwards, I have all the time in the world.

Well since it doesn't look like i will be asleep anytime soon ... sign me up for the CAG party as well.
Hopefully the whole map download and servers will go smoothly.
 
Downloading the maps right now, I let Matt Young know. The speed is such shit. FYI it's nearly 450mb.
 
I am downloading too... Taking awhile... Someone send me an invite if we want to get some CAGs together, I am on the CAGCOD4 list

I read about the maps release this morning on Joystiq right before I went to work. Needless to say, I don't want to be working right now. x_x;
 
Twen and I played for like an hour and a half... For some reason, Killhouse never came up on Team Deathmatch, so i guess its not in that rotation, cause we played like each other map 3 times... New maps are great, need to learn how to best play them, but its a shame they arent in normal rotation with the other ones though

I would prefer if, after a couple months, they were integrated into normal rotation.:drool:
 
well after reading the 250+ pages on this, I decided to bite and got the GOTY. Played some last night and promptly got owned. And by owned I mean it wasn't even funny. I would spawn take 3 steps and die. However, it was fun. So I've got my hours to put in before I can hang online, but oh well.

I wonder if they will put the new maps into the main rotation once more people dl the pack, or if they are trying to keep them separate on purpose indefinitely.

I would too.. It sucks kinda because it seems to only rotate between the 3 maps since Killhouse never came up. I have no idea how to get Killhouse to come up to play, but really want to play that made.
 
I think Killhouse might come up if you try to do 1 vs 1 Cage Match.

One of the features of the recent "Killcam" patch was that they could add more playlists without removing any of the current ones so I expect that they'll finally take advantage of that.

I hit you up with a friend invite. I am by no means an excellent player (or even a good one), but there are quite a few of us who play casually on most nights. Friend request CAGCOD4 also, it is the CAG "clan" list of who is on.

Oh, awesome news for Prestige competitors. :D Sure beats their special event for tomorrow: double Vista on all maps; where they subtract 500 experience points per kill, lock you out of your account, and then charge you 8000 MS points to unlock your account.

I'll be online this weekend with the new maps. It's too bad you can't queue downloads from your gamertag on Xbox.com. I would love to have them download while I'm at work!
