Update 3: The new website is http://www.tivs.ca thanks to neksus!

Update 2:

Lone Prodigy is awesome and made a new one: http://ebtradeinvalues.scribblewiki.com/Main_Page

Update:
Please update the wiki yourself. The new wiki is http://www.citgocapital.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

RFDers use/edit it as well.

Alright, the Americans have a wiki page with all the EB Games trade-in values and I figured we might as well start one for the Canadian EB. It's good reference for if we ever want to sell our soul or maybe take advantage of loopholes in their promos! I'll try and keep the list updated as much as possible.

If you have info to add, please do so in the following format:
*Game Name - $# - Month Day, Year
For example:
*Sonic Mega Collection - $8 - September 29th, 2006.

Group them by system please!

This is probably an incredibly stupid question, and maybe I'm missing something, but why would anybody ever trade games in to EB? They give you next to nothing for a game, and then turn around and sell it for a jacked up price. Why not cut out the middle man and sell it directly to the buyer on eBay or something? You're pretty much guaranteed to get more than whatever EB will give you.

some games are decently priced and promotions are one of the main reasons CHW, trade 3 for a game, trade 5 for a ds and 8 for a psp.

Plus, who cares if they jack up the prices? they pay you 8$ for shrek 2, sell it for 24.99-29.99 who is going to buy it back at that price? no one.

Know what to trade and not to trade as well.
Is Mario Kart Double Dash really going for 20 bucks? Like it says in the Lone Prodigy wiki?!
Yes it is. My sister actually traded that in along with another 3 to do a preorder for Mario Kart Wii.

X360 - Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars - $10
X360 - Virtua Tennis 3 - $12
X360 - Soldier of Fortune: Payback - $13
X360 - FIFA Street 3 - $25

PS3 - Sonic $5
PS2 - Tiger Woods 08 >$8 (may have been $10 but not much more than 8)
PS2 - Tiger Woods 07 < $8 (I think it was 5)
PS2 - Grand Turisom 3 $0.75
PS2 - Shadow of the Collosis $5
PS2 - Ratchet Deadlocked $5
PS2 - Matrix Path of Neo < $8

April 13th

Wii - Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors - $17
Wii - Bully: Scholarship Edition - $17
PS3 - Turok - $33 (This Appears to be a top wanted title right now so I expect it to drop soon after GTAIV hits)

It's even on their trade-in page
ebtradevalue106.png

And damn ... looking at the page, Mario and Sonic gives you 30 trade-in, and the game is ... 20$ at FS right now(?).

Edit: just checked and it is not 20 at FS. Ah well.

was gonna trade in 6 games for two games at eb today for the TI3 promo, went with 7 games... ended up getting three cause they were worth more than i thought

Apr 20
Gamecube
Smash Bros 13
Kart 19
Party 7 19

360
Tiger Woods 08 35
NHL 08 20
Skate 35
Burnout Paradise 35

I'd reccomend hitting EB soon to trade in smash for cube before it drops below 8... same with kart, i imagine once wii kart comes out it'll go down to 13 as well...

pre-ordered in full, ninja gaiden II, gears of war 2, nhl09

Holy smokes, Tiger Woods 08 is worth $35? Time to head to EB. I bought it a long while ago in Rogers 2/$30 sale, haven't really played it much.

Pawn shop laws I believe, I think EB does it to ensure everyone who trades in is 18+ or has a guardian. I don't know if it's necessary but I believe EB submits all traded games to ensure none of them are stolen.

So is your information actually tied to a specific game? Or is it pretty much just used for the actual exchange.

if the local police come to them and say they had a robbery of a bunch of games from x store and they are trying to track it through local means... like if you traded in 3 copies of game a, game b and game c... and the police came in saying that future shop just had a huge theft of video games involving game a, game b, and game c, i'm sure they'd find it interesting to note that you had multiple copies of each one. i find it odd the ask for id then they ask you to fill it out after... but i guess it doesn't matter what name you write since they have your drivers license number.
