I thought we should have a thread to post about any pre-order bonus', since I always seem to miss out on these 'freebies' that I wish I had.

It's confusing when these preorders actually come in since retailers can never tell you when their stock will arrive.


I was especially interested in the LEGO Batman keychain minifigs, Fable 2 XBLA Gambling game, and the Kratos Sack-boy and would like to know when they finally (if ever) come to us Canadians.

The only notable preorder bonus EbGames have right now is the Spore Creature Creator that I already have.


So anyone else see any preorder goodies around?

I can definitely confirm that you need Pub Games to get the completionist achievement in Fable II. I had to finish Pub Games before I could get it - good riddance to those god damned spinnerbox tournaments!

Aaaah! Thanks a lot! This is going to suck... I didn't enjoy pub games! Oh... but I have like 2 million in Fable 2... and if that money transfers to the pub games I don't have to worry about not having money like when I originally had the game! I hope it transfers at least....
 
OK, just got home from work, and sent out codes to the first people who replied via PM or posting here (earliest replies were sent codes). Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get one for everyone, but as the days pass I'll still try to get more. As of this posting I wrote down everyone's user name who didn't get a code they requested, and put them under their respective request (Banjo-Kazooie, Fable II Pub & Too Human). IF/after I am able to get codes for you guys, I will not be providing anymore, sorry!

Anyways, to those who got one, enjoy! and to those who didn't, hang in there! :D
 
After a bit of searching I found an EB that still had codes to give away with Banjo. Today was a good day. The XBLA really made the game look better than I expected.
 
Hey guys, got 2 leftover Fable II Pub codes, and 1 Too Human code left. For those interested, shoot me a PM...first come first serve. Still nothing on B-K codes though, sorry.

If someone have a Banjo-Kazooie code somewhere, I would be REALLY grateful. Like others here, I planned to pre-order Nuts and Bolts to get it, but after trying the demo, I really don't want to spend cash on that poor sequel...

New Chrono Trigger? Is this for DS only?
 
I'm a bit late for the LBP preorder code discussion, but I just bought it at FS (PM'd from RCSS). I asked if I could have a code (the box still had a sticker that said FREE COSTUME) and the guy said I had to preorder it to get one. The pre-order would cost $5, and he still had a gamebox full of them. He wouldn't even give me one :cry:

Does it make sense that for a game out this long they still want to charge a preorder? Also, any chance anyone has a Nariko code? I don't actually care for the Kratos, but Nariko would be cool.
 
That guys just sounds like he doesn't know what's going on. Go back to the FS some other time with your receipt and bug some other sales guy. If they still have a box of em eventually you'll have somebody give you one.

It's not a new Chrono Trigger it's a re-release on the DS with a little added to the original SNES one.

That employee had no clue how pre-orders work if he wanted to sell you a preorder after the game has been released. That $5 goes towards your purchase of the game, you don't pay extra for a preorder. You should have definitly got that code if you bought it and they had extra codes.

Thanks ragnar14 and Sousanator for the advice re: LBP code. I went back to the Airport Rd FutureShop and found a competent salesperson who gladly gave me the Nariko code. He told me they had tons of 'em, and even said I should have gotten one with purchase.

Anyone ever heard of Silent Hill: Homecoming soundtrack bonus? I went to EB and saw some CDs on the shelf. I was told that it was for SH HC soundtrack for preorders.

Although they had a bunch they had to ring it up as a purchase, so he needed my original receipt to do a refund and add the game to it. The code came in an empty PS3 box, so it's almost like a product, not just a piece of paper. So no, I only got one.
Maybe some CAG's with their original FS receipt who don't have the code show up on their bill can convince them to give them a code. Or even if anyone here knows somebody that works at that location that can get them to... you now... :whistle2:\"

I pre-ordered Silent Hill: Homecoming but, never got a cd soundtrack bonus. I was told at my local EB that they usually get the pre-order bonuses late. I know amazon.com had a few preview tracks they were giving away for free.

Anyone have any extra LBP Nariko or Kratos codes? I wasn't originally planning on getting the game but my little bro wants it for Christmas, so it'd be nice to get those extras too I guess.

Did anyone get the Witch King replica sword when they picked up their games today? I had three copies preordered and both of the stores had not even heard of the bonus. I hope we didn't get stiffed, because that's a neat bonus.

I got two. One when I preordered, and one when I picked it up yesterday

The bonus is sort of meh, it's just a tiny (10-15cm) plastic sword. I was hoping it was metal-based at least.

I pre-ordered Killzone 2 from my EBGames this morning and received the Demo code/card. The store I deal with (Gatineau) had lots of Demo codes (the manager could count the number of pre-orders on one hand!) but obviously this will vary from store to store.

Was also able to get the Killzone 2 demo card today when I pre-ordered. This was at Metrotown.

Pre-order Street Fighter 4 (either of them) at EBGames, get a red bandana (like Ryu's, and 100% cotton). It's not much of a preorder bonus, but it's nerdish (enough). One end has the Ryu art in black and the other end has the SF4 logo on it, btw.

And old news, but all first print copies of Ys 1 and 2 for DS will come with the sampler soundtrack.

I pre-ordered FE to get the cel, but they said they'll give it to me when I come to pick up the game. But I'm not planning to buy the game, I just want the cel >.>

I already received the cell when I preordered it last Thursday.
 
Have you preordered stuff and taken the preorder item then returned the game before from that location? Maybe you're blacklisted :p
