I thought we should have a thread to post about any pre-order bonus', since I always seem to miss out on these 'freebies' that I wish I had.

It's confusing when these preorders actually come in since retailers can never tell you when their stock will arrive.


I was especially interested in the LEGO Batman keychain minifigs, Fable 2 XBLA Gambling game, and the Kratos Sack-boy and would like to know when they finally (if ever) come to us Canadians.

The only notable preorder bonus EbGames have right now is the Spore Creature Creator that I already have.


So anyone else see any preorder goodies around?

NHL 10 - free 3 on 3 hockey (XBLA or PSN) + 1 month free xbox live (XBOX only, duh) with pre-order at Walmart (source: RFD).

EB is probably offering the booster pack (bonus points for your character), but that hasn't been confirmed in Canada yet.
 
Just picked up guitar hero 5 today for the 360. As most know now there are no stickers or advertising for the Van Halen game as it's not available to us canucks. Just curious if anyone got their special 2 song download card? Apparently we were supposed to get one for pre-ordering but, I never ended up getting one.

I'll confirm it.. was at EB/Gamestop this morning and asked about preorder bonuses for NHL10, and the CSR showed me the code vouchers for the "Kane 88 Boost pack" for 360 and PS3.

I'll probably preorder this when they announce an english VA track on the disc or *shudders* preorder incentive.

Dirt 2 has some DVD and a $10 coupon for some DC clothing at West 49

That's all I know of in the upcoming releases.. looks like the days of free swag are numbered. If you want plastic junk you'll need to buy collector editions.

Well the game is out in the states, and supposedly the scrolls have kinda low allocations. So it's most likely we're not getting any as usual.
 
Anyone know what the deal is with EB's bonus level for Assassin's Creed 2? Are they giving out the code in advance or bundling it with the game? Do they have any codes left?

EB will have the Rooster Hat for Scribblenauts according to their newsletter
 
is the booster pack bonus (from eb games) for nhl 10 a dlc code you get, or is it on the disc? i just picked up my copy, but just got the game (and a free edge card...apparently anyone who buys a new game today gets one...*shrug* maybe ymmv)
 
NHL 10 booster pack is a separate unique code that comes on a piece of paper outside of the box.

Same with Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 juggernaut code.
 
Did anyone preorder NFS Shift?

I got the EBGames pre-order code for BMW M3 GT2, it is a code that must be entered on EA Nation (Options menu of Game, Redeem Code)... it is sixteen digits and letters, I try to enter it but it keeps saying invalid code. Unlike PS Store codes, they do not have different cases that you enter 4 digits by case, they just give you one space to enter all the code.

Anyone was able to enter his code? how did you enter it? (spaces between ? upper case? using the - between or all together?)

I entered it exactly the way it's shown. All caps, dashes, no spaces.

I'm gonna preorder ODST from eb games :p
best buy and future shop = no preordering and then toysrus not so sure

check out the new flyer, I pre-ordered at EB games as well but I saw that BestBuy is giving away a halo 1 combat evolved for free with each one. But i think if you buy online

Looks like the new Kingdom Hearts DS game comes with poster/postcards according to the newsletter I got from EB/gamestop, anyone get them yet?

I think I'll preorder it later this afternoon.
 
I pre-ordered uncharted 2, and forgot to ask about bonus (revenge booster). Do I get the code when I pick it up, or should I phone and ask for it when i get home from work?

Even though the coupons say they work only with 360 games they do scan in for any used games I've found. Some employees might not let it slide so YMMV, but I picked up two PS3 games with it yesterday.
 
Anyone happen to have any extra brutal legend pre order bonus codes for ps3 from ebgames/gamestop?

Picked the game up this morning from ebgames, but the one i go to didn't have their crap together and couldn't find it. I called another store and they were all out. :(

The store i called gave me a hard time saying i should have pre ordered or picked it up early, but when i informed her that i preordered it 3 months ago and was the first one at the store to pick it up, she shut up pretty quick and then rudely said something to the effect of too bad. Seems like most of the staff at ebgames lately are stuck up and don't seem to know what they are doing. Might have to start picking up games from rogers, or taking the extra time to bus it down to future shop from now on.

update: So i called the EBgames i bought the game from this morning just to double check, and the guy that answered (he was very polite surprisingly) said that the only bonus was the early access for the demo, and that they were expired already. I asked him about the in game guitar bonus and he said he didn't know anything about that. Did anyone in Canada get the in game guitar bonus, or was that just for the states?

Anyway, i picked up uncharted 2 this morning as well and they managed to dig the bonus booster code card out from a box on the floor. lol At least i got that.

Dammit! I picked up my preorder and asked if they had any pre-order bonus, but she said it was just the early access to the beta. What does the booster card do anyways?
 
actually the booster code is on the same card with the beta access. It's not that great, only gives you access to the revenge booster early. Still have to have the money in the game to buy that booster though which is 100k+.

I was able to picked up the Forza 3 pre-order bonus today. I needed it too, the CE version is my husbands anniversary present. Our Anniversary is Saturday and the game doesn't come out till the 28th. I would have felt bad having nothing to give him and he already gave me the most shocking present on Monday.

My jaw was also on the floor when he bought it.
Last week I jokingly sent him a ad from usedottawa.com saying hey this would be great for the basement (it's in the process of being finished). He made an offer on it the seller already had a higher bid. Even though at this point we were not going to get it I was impressed that he would buy it understanding such a large thing would be living in our house. On Friday the higher buyer backed out on the deal and the seller asked my husband if he was still interested.
It's from OXMOX studio. They make a lot of interesting statues. There's pictures of the statues in people houses.
 
Visited the Gamestop downtown Toronto (Metro Hall) and Magna Carta 2 comes with an artbook. With ummm, some, big assets on the cover. Not as tamed as the NA Cover Art.

Just picked up Tekken 6 for PS3 at my local Eb games, in Delta BC.
Told me there was no pre-order goodie or bonus package at pick up of the game.
Has anyone in Canada got the calendar and download code for extra costume for Yoshimitsu or is it just n the US?

I was just going to ask the same question. I was told the same thing and didn't get the extra stuff. Might be US only.
 
For the Dragon Age preorder wolf charm and memory band, do you pick those up at time of pre-order or do they come with the game on release day?

I just pre-ordered it today and didn't get anything, but the EB i go to never has their act together when it comes to pre order bonus items.

When I pre-ordered mine a couple months ago I was told they didn't know about anything for preorders at the time, but if there was something that I'd get them on release day *if* they still had any left when I picked up my copy.

Since I plan on going in before I go to work the day it's released, and it will be when they open, they'd better have them. Does it release the 2nd or the 3rd? I've been given/read conflicting dates.
 
Yeah, that's what they usually tell me at the EB i go to. Last time i went to pick up uncharted 2 and Brutal legend on release day (first one in when it opened) i had to ask about the bonus items. They seemed really annoyed that I asked and got a big cardboard box full of the pre order cards from all games that had them and dug out the uncharted 2 one and the old brutal legend demo access card (which was expired) and not the one for the in game guitar. Tomorrow i'm going to call the store and ask, and if they don't know i'll call another location to double check.

As to the release date, i'm getting the PS3 version and their computer said Nov 17th. I'm just hoping they didn't update their computer since it was announced that all versions will be released on Nov 3rd. I'm going to call the store on the 2nd to see if it did come in, since they usually get them in a few days before they can sell them.
 
Anyone know if there was a bonus for DJ Hero. I thought/assumed it was a 2 free DLC song download like the US but when I went yesterday to pick it up the guy didn't have a clue. He said to check back in a few days incase they were shipped late.

So was there any bonus in Canada for DJ Hero or was that a US only thing?
 
I didn't get anything when I picked up DJ Hero.. I forgot to ask though, and was planning on going back to ask if there were the bonus songs.
