DVD QUESTION

i got a cheap DVD player that keeps poping out the disc when you hit close

Hit close. it reopens,. hit close the door reopens (without loading the movie)

It will do this until you go up and hit the top of the player. Then the movie loads

Holy shit, if you play your cards right, you could end up selling it for more when the time comes...but keeping track of your actual miles and needed maintenances could be troubling

Why does slidecage always have the worst luck and the biggest problems of anyone on this board?:rofl::rofl:

Though, while the mileage thing may seem good when selling, it would probably constitute fraud if someone caught you when you sold it.

Play stupid. It's not like he cracked the thing opened and rolled it back by hand. Seriously how are they going to find out the "true" millage of the car?

LOL i was joking about selling it. I be lucky if the car last another 10,000 miles

the power stearing pump is shot (got to fill it up every 3 days)

the shocks are leaking (sounds like a flat tire everytime you turn off the car)

its leaking transmitting fluid

and the CJ joints are shot.... everytime you turn the wheel it makes a hell of a cracking noise.....

this is the 2nd car that has done this. I just find it werid that the miles are now going backwards

I think you are emitting some kind of bizarro energy field that effects electrical devices. Do you have any watches, cell phones that inexplicably stop working? Do street lamps shut themselves off as you pass under them? Do you frequently lose game saves? Greater than average power outages? Phone calls with no one on the other end?

You can't sell a car that has its millage going backwards, since when they drive it, they will surely notice.

A few fixes for your bizzaro world:

I would try hitting the top of your car next time you start it up... maybe that will fix it
Also, when loading dvds immediately hit rewind, and maybe they will start playing forward?

What type of car is it slidecage? Is that your truck you talked about owning before (I could have sworn you had a truck before), or some other vehicle, out of curiousity?

I'm kind of curious, I'd like to see this actually happen (since I live nearby you), lol.

Awesome idea, TMK and Slidecage need to meet up for a day and take lots of photos and videos of it.

Woah on the Ls man, don't be so generous. One L is sufficient for mileage.

And don't buy cheapass DVD players like some COBY shit or something.

By the way Slidecage, my Xbox does a very similar thing, sometimes it won't open at all and I to like take a swipe with a Guitar Pick at the little belt below the drive tray to get it to open. But then many times, it opens and immediately closes. I don't know exactly what is up, but it is broken.

So just use another DVD player, almost everything these days can play DVDs.

How long has it been doing this? Maybe before you bought it and it is really near the 1,000,000 mile mark!?!

Or by chance is it a:

Be very careful about the CV joint. I can be very dangerous if it fails completely at any speed over 15mph. If it fails, its just like breaking an axel. At speed it could lots of nasty stuff to your car/brakes.

Not trying to scare you, but you should know.

As for your odometer, did you have your speedometer cable replaced? Any transmission work? What kind of car? Do you want this problem solved?

yea i really need to get it fixed but i dont know what car to fix yet

one with the leaking shocks. with power stering pump shot

or

one with transmitting slipping

LOL 2 cars with the same problem

i broke an axel on another car and that was scary. The worse was when my Transmittion went out and it LOCKED between 1st and 2nd. I was #$#$# Lucky i had my seat belt on car the car just LOCKED down and threw me forward (i was only doing 10 but it still hurt like a mother #$#$$#)

people didnt understand that it locked in gear cause people were stopping sayin they would push the car. I would tell them,

The gears are lock and they would say COme on we can push you off the road ( one time there was 5 big men tryin to push the car even after i told them it wouldnt roll LOL

took them in and both cars had an crack right front axel

204 bucks each after tax. just got one back and found out there is a repair place doing the same job for around 165.... Might take my other car there.... Werid that both of them would have the same problem

I think it'll be good for him. It's time he stands up to his old man.

Strangely enough, this used to happen to me. My friends thought it was funny how often street lights would switch off when I passed near. The phenomena only lasted for a few months, but it was a bit unsettling to say the least!
