I saw it the night it opened. It was much better than Shumakers(sp?) pink tinged nippled version. Though I did like Batman Forever. Batman and Robin seemed like a homoerotic piece of trash. Only seen it once, and plan to keep it that way
Batman and Robin is one of the funniest movies of all time.

Funny, I would have though that might have ratchetted it a few slots in your eyes. Kind of like Showgirls or Basic Instinct. Sure, most guys would tell you they hated them, but they're probably a couple videocasettes with worn to almost nothing sections during certain couple minute intervals of those films.
Nothing really, just saying hello to the ol'OTT. You?
Killing time while the laundry I need for work tomorrow finishes up.
Yep. Thrilling. :)
Wow...that's extreme!
Hey, it's not like all of us can be aranging donkey shows on Sunday night.
If only, m'friend, if only.
You know, I hear it's just as about entertaining without the donkey. That might be easier to put together...
There was a threat of another Jay and Silent Bob movie after the credits.;)
He's got it as bad as Lucas.
He's got it as bad as Lucas.
Maybe but I don't think he has done a bad thing except Jersey Girl. All the stuff does pretty well or well enough.
In other news...
Little Man did better that Clerks 2 in the box office...

...there is no god
The good thing is that Clerks 2 turned a profit before it even opened... it turned a profit on the forgien distribution rights, so anything from here on in is gravy.

Ahh good.

Just punishment for Chasing Amy and Jersey Girl.

To me it seems that the ones that went to see Clerks II are fans of the first one. After all, the first is pretty much a cult hit. I'd rather much be in a theater with people that have seen the first one a hundred times, than some pimple faced crotch droppling that has no idea about the first one.

Yeah I noticed a lot of inside jokes in the second one that you'd only get if you were a fan of the original and a lot of people were laughing during them.

Theres only one thing I want to know before I see it: Is there any "37"(!!!) jokes? Other than that, I try my best to avoid anything that might spoil it for me from the posts on here

Not that I noticed but there is a discussion about oral sex that rivals the 37 in comedic effect.
He's got it as bad as Lucas.
Worse, Lucas at least made the Indiana Jones Trilogy, making him a 2 trick pony.

Although they are slowly developing a sequel for that....

True, but when you can put out a hollywood level comedy for $5 you don't need a quarter of the population to see it twice to turn a profit.

It's all a matter of perspective anyway. Like Sweeney said, Clerks 2 is already turning a profit. $5M to make, $9.5M opening weekend. From that standpoint, it's already a success.

Like Superman? $179M in 4 weeks of box office sounds great, but the budget was $260M. Nothing to sneeze at, and I know it's strictly box office and not merchandising or DVD sales, just making a point. A tired, late nite point...that probably makes no sense.

Sweet! I swear, its really tempting to put a couple of tickets on my credit card. Even though I need to keep my balance as low as humanly possible

Damn, my partner is having a blast with Guitar Hero that I got him for birthday last Monday. He keeps asking me if I can hook up my PS2 for him lol. As long as it gets him back into gaming for other games lol

Ahh but you're leaving out the amount of money that was spent on the Superman project before Singer took it over. That's an extra $150 million as well.
Hey Brak, I think I got my gf into QOTSA...sweet, eh?
Awesome. As long as she doesn't like country.

Now, back to sleep, where I keep having Hellishly weird nightmares. (Like the giant Pepsi airplane that crashed in the woods behind work, while I was eating pineapple pizza at a wishing well in the woods in front of the building.)

I'm hesitant on Clerks II, but I guess since most seem to like it, I'll have to check it out at some point.
HS, did that long PM I sent you about video cards make any sense?
You never send ME long senseless PMs about video cards.

Exactly what I was thinking. It always amazes me how much summer blockbusters cost and how many quality movies get made for 10% of that.
You never send ME long senseless PMs about video cards.
That's because you didn't ask, WhopSmirtBunky.

those other two big deal sites are really great when it comes to finding deals on cards. I prefer SD to FW though since the layout is easier to read IMO.

Swingers is on TBS. Something tells me I need to own this movie eventually, and sooner then later.
How'd you do that?
My boss was giving away a bunch of games he had piled up that he didn't need, so he was offering them to everyone on the staff. I picked up that and Tomb Raider Legend for the Xbox. I mentioned it a few weeks ago. Though one guy received an empty package missing both games he was supposed to get with stickers on it noting when it was sealed and when it wasn't.
Ahh but you're leaving out the amount of money that was spent on the Superman project before Singer took it over. That's an extra $150 million as well.
Eh, you can't put that on this movie because that money was gone and never coming back.

I still consider it a success purely based upon the fact that what was going to be a Superman movie turned into Wild Wild West.
That's because you didn't ask, WhopSmirtBunky.
That, and he just doesn't like you like that.

Watched last week's Blade off DVR last night. Show is getting better each week IMO. It's easily my 2nd favorite show airing new stuff at the moment. (Just behind Hex on BBCA.)
