Yeah I can second that MGS LE for $60. I'm hoping it will drop to $40 soon enough... my local GS actually has quite a few of them in stock, according to a clerk someone somehow went around and bought up 12 or so of them during launch but then returned almost all of them at that store because he couldn't flip them on ebay.

Thirded....can't say enough bad things about them for buying games (especially collector editions). You'll get far better results from sticking your money up your ass and hoping you shit out the game you want than ordering it from Deep Discount. And you'll probably enjoy the experience more than dealing with them.

I can't verify with anything online but I was able to grab the Xbox360 version of Dark Souls CE for $39.99 at Best Buy in Nashua NH. There was no sticker on two copies in those big plastic security cases.

yeah, I think this is their MSRP if you can find it. Picked up a PS3 copy for the same price about a month ago and I believe the regular version was still at $60. I was really excited, thought I got a great deal!
 
Picked up uncharted 3 CE for $51 and Batman Arkham City CE for $47 at a Best Buy that is closing today. Used the $10 off coupon that they sent me for the store closing and was out the door for just under $100. Went to the best buy 10 minutes down the road and traded the vanilla copy of each that i already had in for $48 credit.
 
Jumping on board the terribleness of Deep Discount - avoid them like you would any deadly disease.

Question: Has anyone come across any discounted FFXIII-2 collectors editions(or a guide) yet? I keep seeing 10's of copies everywhere; but still at original MSRP ; ;

I wonder if BB will PM this or if they plan on dropping the price anytime soon. I purchased three of these for the steelbooks and sold two. Would be nice to get some of that money back

Pretty sure BB has to drop the price for you to be eligible for an adjustment. For Day 1 buyers (like myself), 30 days would be 5/24 and 45 days would be 6/8 (for Silver members). Fingers-crossed BB drops by then.

That's from BB's site. I know it works because I bought FFXIII-2 CE for full price, then got $20 back when GS had dropped the price down to $59.99 within 30 days of release.

I really have to pay attention to my receipts. I don't want to think about how much money I have lost by not PMing stuff...probably not a lot since I rarely buy new releases. :)
 
I don't think it was mentioned in this thread yet but Skyrim Collector's Edition for PS3 and 360 is $59.99 at Best Buy. You can't ship it online but I believe you can have it sent to a store near you. It's definitely worth it. I am loving this dragon statue.

U got lucky that they price match from gamestop.

I remember they gave me BS when I try to price match the Halo Reach CE at BB.

Any idea if the game is region free for Xbox and PS3? That's an okay price for game + steelbook, but pretty steep if you're only getting a steelbook out of it.

PS3 games are region free. I've bought multiple ps3 European releases. 360 games are usually locked by region. If you want the ps3 steelbook, order away.

Keep in mind that you can not use US DLC with your european copy of the game. You also can not trade these games in to the big chains (gamestop, bb, amazon) because they are PAL versions. If you're strictly looking to collect and keep the game, then go ahead, but you will need a european PSN account to obtain DLC for it.
 
This is true, and AC has quite a bit of dlc with it. Thanks for mentioning it, I forgot about that. It isn't all that hard to set up a euro account to use though, I think a UK account would work fine. You'll be paying a bit more for points but it will work.
 
i've traded in 360 pal games before to bb without any problems.

No, they have one for the PS3 also. If you look on eBay, you'll see some Joker steelbooks that are G2 size (blu-ray case size).
 
I'm a sucker for steelbooks so I might have to look this up on eBay. I just bought Battlefield 3 and Gears of War 3 on eBay this morning for about $20 each shipped.

I was able to redeem arkham city DLC (Joker carnival map, catwoman, and something else) for xbox from a joker steelbook edition from the UK. It's downloaded to my console but I have not actually tried it yet.

Sadly, I've been in the infirmary far too long after the Joker sporked my kidney at meal time the other day and kitsunisan had the right full answer. PS3 is, of course, region free. :D
 
Anyone know how much Bioshock 2 Special Edition is at Best Buy? One still has some for PC around me and wouldn't mind getting it for the extras, it said like $60 on it and I figured that had to be wrong.

I don't know about the PC version, but the 360 was liquated at $10 with free shipping.
