Bleh, went in today and ask for a price check on this Harvest Moon GBC thats been sitting in the case for years now, tagged as 24.99 but its only dropped to 17.99.

Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge - $4.99
Donkey Kong Land - $4.99
Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages - $9.99
Lufia: The Legend Returns - $9.99
Super Mario Bros. Deluxe - $9.99
Tetris - $3.99

Holding off for the possible B2G1 deal to really take advantage of some of the games I wanted to get but held off on, like Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land (GB), Tetris DX, both Kirby's Dream Lands, Donkey Kong Land 2, Pokémon Blue and so forth.

If anyone's looking for Lufia, they had one more copy at the GS I went to last night.

I got oracle of ages and seasons for 4.99 dollar a pop, Link's Awakening DX for 4.99, and the pokemon trading card game for 3.99.

I'm willing to bet Ages was mistagged cause it's $9.99, not $4.99. Same goes for Link's Awakening DX unless that dropped recently.

I was going to get my little sister Gold from them awhile ago, but when I saw the price I told her no. It's not worth that much.

Lufia is a great RPG. Be sure to play it.

Already way ahead of you. Started playing this morning. :D I grabbed it especially because I wanted some RPGs from the GB/GBC era.
They were mispriced.
That might explain why people have been getting Metroid 2 for $5, but the ones I've seen have a $9.99 price tag.

Saw Super Mario Land 1 & 2 for $10 a piece, but passed.

Man do i love me some old school gameboy games. I've been on a GB/GBC buying Frenzy lately. I think i've bought over 25 games in total. You might as well buy them now, because i highly doubt anyone still trades them in. and if they do, it's not very often. So if there's a rare gameboy game you see at GS/EB, I would pick it up ASAP. if it's a more common title, perhaps hold out until a B2g1F deal.

I got some great games like Shantae for $2.99, Metal Walker for $4.99, Castlevania Legends for $5.99, and Mega Man IV for $14.99. not cheap for the last one, but cheaper than you'd find on Ebay.

Don't forget to bring your Edge card and 10% coupons.

No, Metroid 2 IS $5. By mistagged, we meant labeled as a different game. Not all the stickered prices are right, but they are definately in the system as being sometimes different.

I'm gonna check the Mario Land game prices tomorrow to find out if at least the first one is below $10.

The other great, lost classic from that era is the remake of Dragon Warrior III for GBC. Both deserve a play even in this era.

Hell yeah. I'm mainly trying to hold off in case there is a B2G1 deal. That and I'm cluttered with games I've yet to finish everywhere. DWIII for $5 is definately an awesome deal. I've found the DW I & II cart, but I gotta find the price on that. Would be nice to find Dragon Warrior Monsters 2 with Coby, as well.

Picked up three games today.

Final Fantasy Adventure: $5.99
Final Fantasy Legend II: $9.99
Metal Gear Solid (GBC): $4.99

Shall I work on a master list of GB/GBC prices we can refer to?

"Picked up three games today.

those are 3 great games for gameboy Tsukento!

Resident Evil Gaiden is pretty good too, got it there for $4.99

Thanks for the lists! Gives me a few to watch out for. I picked up Shadowgate Classic and Heroes of Might and Magic today for $2.99 each... incase anyone is interested in adding those to the list

i wanna play ALL zelda games, so im trying to get zelda seasons(already played TP, playing link's awakening, played ages, minish cap) and im also trying to get the Zelda's collectors edition. But that'll leave me with wind waker, Phantom hourglass and Link to the past. Idiotic gamestop keeps saying link to the past is $20.

That's cause A Link to the Past IS $20. :| It's a Player's Choice GBA title.

Once again...

Legend of Zelda = NES/GBA
Zelda II: Link's Adventure = NES/GBA
A Link to the Past = SNES/GBA
Link's Awakening = GB
Link's Awakening DX = GB(C)
Ocarina of Time = N64
Majora's Mask = N64
Oracle of Ages = GBC
Oracle of Seasons = GBC
Wind Waker = GCN
Minish Cap = GBA
Twilight Princess = GCN/Wii

Personally, out of those, I liked the PTCG, Poke'mon silver (though mine f'ed up on me), Mario Tennis, and Metal Walker. Metal Walker's good, but a little repetitive at times.

I bought a game called Dracula for 2.99 over the weekend, also saw a game called Armorines for 2.99 as well.

Nsync get to the show is 1.99 god forbid anyone is actually interested!

Added Shadowgate Classic to the OP. I can't find Heroes of Might and Magic on the gamestop web site. If anyone has a link to it, please post it so I can add it to the OP.

*BLAH!*

I need to pick up a GBA:SP so I can play original GB & GBC games. I have a Micro and a DSlite, but they don't play those older games. Ive been waiting for a good deal on the newer backlit screen SP's. I have Bionic Commando for the GBC that Ive been dying to play for like 2 years now.
Anyone know if Robocop for the GB is any good?

Its $2.99 at my gamestop...
It's pretty good, it's a lot like the 8-bit computer versions of Robocop, only with a bit more variety.

If i can get Super Mario Bros. Deluxe, Super mario land 1 & 2. Still wait for Buy 2 get 1 Free deal. I rather pay $20 for all 3 games instead pay lots $$$ on Supermario Bros. on VC.

that quetion comes again. Should i get the zelda games on the wii instead of the zelda's collector's edition, and in the case of the link to the past, VC or GBA?

They might do SP sales between Thanksgiving and Christmas. I remember last year, I was seeing the new brightter ones in ads for $40 during that time. And since there are still bunches of stores with them in stock, it wouldn't surprise me if they do it again to clear them out. I mean, I remember stores having the PSone on sale a few years into the PS2 era because they wanted to get rid of them... Same concept, i guess.

"that quetion comes again. Should i get the zelda games on the wii instead of the zelda's collector's edition, and in the case of the link to the past, VC or GBA?"

blackbird, i would get Zelda LttP on VC.. the GBA version is good, but suffers slightly in the audio and video department. better yet, get the SNES original cart =)

as for the Zelda on the WII or Collector's Cube version. well, you will save money if you download them. however, when it comes to a franchise like Zelda.. I think it's best to actually Own the "Real" game. although it's usually cheaper, and more convenient... for a game like Zelda, I think it's best to own the actual game.

however this is a Gameboy Thread, and I love me some gameboy.. I highly recommend everyone pick up the 5 mega man titles released for the original gameboy, especially Mega Man V. hard to find, a little expensive, but it's a gameboy exlcusive baby! oh yeah

I've been wanting to play shantae for years but I've never seen a copy in stock.. If any cags have one locally let me know.

I bought

Shantae $2.99
Dragon Warrior III $4.99
Wario Land 3 $3.99

All prices before 10% coupon and Edge card. Thanks CAG

A couple of decent ones to add -

Got Street Fighter II for $2.99, Game and Watch Gallery 3 for $1.99, and Burai Fighter Deluxe for $1.99 yesterday.

If anyone runs across an extra Shantae, please let me know. There isn't one within 100 miles down here

Here's a semi-off topic question: How do you check stock for things on Gamestop's website?

I'm looking for a couple of different games that they don't have on the website, but that I would like to see if any local stores carried. When you do a regular search for them though, nothing shows up. Even when I search for the games in the op nothing shows up.

What's the special technique that I'm missing here?

*Edit: Nevermind, just figure it out. You do a search for something that is in stock and then click "Show Backordered Items"

Found a few more yesterday:

All prices after Edge and 10% off coupon

Castlevania II: Belmont's Revenge $3.99
Dragon Warrior Monsters $1.59
Legend Of Zelda: Link's Awakening $2.39
Legend Of Zelda: Oracle Of Seasons $3.99 (2nd copy)
Lunar Legend $6.39
Metroid II: Return Of Samus $3.99

Not GB related but for DS also picked up a used, complete Advance Wars: Dual Strike for $19.49 after coupons and Edge. I see this one starting to go for good dollars new and used.

I thought I had found a Gamestop store that had Mega Man V in stock but when I went to the store the game was nowhere to be found.

I had a similar problem except at mine they mislabeled a copy of Mega Man Xtreme as Mega Man V :bomb:

Thanks for the heads up, guys. Added a few others onto my post list. Hopefully the OP updates. :p

Erm, it'd be nice to have the prices without any coupons or promos added in, please. :p Also, Lunar Legend is a GBA title. Not GB/GBC.

Please locate the prices yourself on page 1

Lunar was a pleasant find on my part and you'll have to live with me including it.

buh bye now

Picked up a ton of games off of here the past couple days, only one that didnt work was Super Mario Land 2 (which was yellowing anyway) so I find another store that had it for an exchange... and it was in immaculate condition with plastic case... better than that, the same person had traded in a ton of other games as well... I got
Wario Land
Pokemon Blue
Operation c
Final Fantasy Legend
Zelda LA
TMNT: Back from the Sewers
Castlevania Adventure
Final Fantasy Adventure
Ren and Stimpy Space Cadets

all for around 30 bucks... not bad, will fire up the GB player tonight

Picked up Pokemon Blue for 2.69. If you guys tell anybody I was playing it I will deny it till my death. (seriously, it is a pretty fun game)

I got Zelda: Oracle of Ages tonight, but apparently the save battery is dead because I can't create a new file or even play the game at all. Bummer.
