I need some help here. I thought I was set with a Samsung HDTV 32" and see both the Neosound and the Premiere aren't WS. Does anyone know of any fairly cheap offerings like the Samsung in the 32-36" range and especially WS or will I have to wait for one to be offered?

if i'm not mistaken, and I very well could be, it's 30" widescreen/32" fullscreen...

again I could be wrong...

Yeah you're right. Now I see a 34" WS by Sony and Toshiba that both look great though the Toshiba is noticeably cheaper, any help here? Has anyone here seen them side by side?
I'm talking the Sony XBR 34" and the Toshiba WS 34".
edit: Well the Toshiba doesn't seem to support 720p for the Component input so I guess I'm getting the Sony.
Anyone else have it? I'm curious to know what ya'll think of it.

My fam just bought the Sony 34" Widescreen CRT HDTV about a month ago, and we love it. It is KICK ASS for gaming, and suports 480p, 4801, 720p, and 1080i. Also, CRT's have THE BEST picture quality out of ANY other type of TV. We did tons of research on the various brands, and decided that the higher quality was worth the $200 difference. Go with the Sony man, it will rock your world, and probably last considerably longer than the other brands.

Yeah like I said I WAS interested in the Toshiba as well(looked to be the closest qualitywise) but the Component doesn't support 720p. Yeah I came up with only getting a CRT because of the various picture issues with the others, like one doesn't support true blacks, etc. I WAS originally thinking of getting a bigger Samsung WS HDTV CRT but then when I read about the red complaint I started looking at these others. I don't get why some of these highest end models don't support 720p considering at least one big name channel supports ONLY it in HDTV(ESPN).
I already know the type of decoder I plan to get but now I deal with the problem of finding some excellent speakers to go with it. I was thinking Nakamichi's because I heard of how good they are but they COME with a decoder. X-(

Hey, how much is that Sony 34 inch you're talking about? I went to CC last night and highly considered buying this $3k sony lcd because I saw the Incredibles running on it and man...did it look nice, but I have no idea about quality for LCD tv's. I think I just wanted it because it would also be easier for me to carry vs a tube.

Like $1848.55 or something like that TOTAL online including shipping. My big complaint is the price of the TV stand($350) and I've only seen $15 off it. :whistle2:(
