Alright guys, as much as it pains me to do this, its something that has to be done. So without any delay here goes. I'll explain everything at the end of the post.

Those that are still on the warn list are still there for any of the following reasons:
Lack of showing up
Lack of speaking up
Lack of interest in attending

In all seriousness, sometimes people just need a wake up call to keep them involved with the clan. And I hope that this serves as a wake up call to a few. If not, then oh well. And we're only casual because we lost the people that played regularly to CAGTac.

i always thought the "casual" part was relative to the joining and remaining active requirements. initial interest, not being an asshat and regular attendance are pretty casual prerequisites for membership for a clan imo. now if members were booted and allowed to join based on skill level and other subjective reasons, then it would cease to be "casual".

as for the cuts/warnings, why would anyone want to claim membership to a group that they don't actively participate? don't know the answer, but people obviously do based on the usual posts that follow any cut list.
 
Hey fellas - I told you guys when I asked to join that the reason I got booted from the old clan was because my school schedule was too rough. I also said that the semester was almost over (my last final is thurs), and that after I was out I would be playing a lot more. If you could just give me till the end of the week, I'll be on a lot more; if you still don't see me then, feel free to cut.

You're part of the warning list, so there is less pressure on you to speak up than there is on the people in the cut list. Also, thank you for speaking up and letting us know the situation, hopefully more people are civil like you have been. You should be ok, we're going to look over the replies over the weekend and then make the list final.
 
Alright, it was nice playing with you guys. One suggestion, you staff need to plan ahead in terms of when we ARE going to have clan practices and whatnot. Honestly, I don't understand how this whole system works. I mean you could make a thread that only staff can post in. You can make posts about the schedules and such. Honestly, this is a really confusing clan to keep up with.

I know you were on during weekend, but making yourself noticeable in the game doesn't hurt, well as long as you aren't annoying. But just keep it up and you should be ok.

Did you read through the post I linked you to? If so, how is it not accurate? Also, go to the top of the 1st page of the forums and look through the entire topic that the link is posted from and then tell me its not accurate.

yea, that's one reason i play on weekends :)

btw, craven, girion, etc...would you consider cranking back the matchmaking start time for sunday's?

10 est is too late for me on sundays...maybe crank it to 9 est?

First of all, how is not attending custom games gonna put me in jeopardy of staying in the clan? Clan practices are more important and when we DO play clan practices, we barely do anything but turn off friendly fire, put everyone on the same team, and just shoot each other. And don't tell me that FFA snipers, zombies and whatever else we do are clan practices cause obviously it's not. I mean it's like we need to play custom games, or else you will be cut from the clan... you guys should have made that clear. I thought the only important stuff were clan practices, and everytime we face CAGtacular.

The more you play together, the more you get used to one anothers strengths and weaknesses. That could put you in jeopardy if you don't mesh well and play with us enough.

And practice includes playing custom games with the clan on certain nights. Sure we like to play a few offbeat games to get everyone warmed up and ready to play some team based games. FFA snipers is meant to help those that aren't as efficient with the sniper rifle get better. I am living proof of this, even though I am no where near as good as some, I have improved a lot from playing this game type and its shown in matchmaking. Zombies is meant as fun to get people warmed up.

You hit the nail on the head there. Thats why there are set practice times, be there or give us notice as to why you won't be and you're good. If creating a thread dedicated to that is not clear then what is? I mean for godsakes, you've been in this clan a few weeks, and probably didn't even take a look at the Clanlist/Practice topic until it was pointed out to you.

Yeah, practices and interclan matches are the important things. Thats why there is a thread dedicated to practice times and another dedicated for absences. Practice times are posted in that topic, thus they are important.
 
I agree. the custom games are really boring. but a lot of people on here are rank whores and bitch and threaten to leave if we want to go into matchmaking. Dead would you mind going into BTB even after the ranks are reset and possibly lose every game that night? I dont mind losing ranked games just because I dont think rank really matters all that much in the long run. but a lot of people bitch about it because they think its going to get them a peice of ass or something. and just so we can shut them and keep playing we do custom games.
 
No, Girion you are wrong. People are rank whore for different reasons. I will play with anyone on skirmish and btb but not just anyone on team slayer. The reason being is that it took me from november 9th to get to a level 16 and I am proud of it. The higher your level is the more that you value it. That is the exact reason I only play team slayer with people that have care about there ranking. People that care about their own ranking play differently than people that don't care about thier ranking. I think there are other people who probably feel this way when people call them rank whores (not implying that you called me a rank whore).

If they are boring, but productive, that changes things. If they are boring and nothing good is coming out of it, then speak up. Also if you think the custom games that we are playing are boring, speak up then. Yeah sure we should be doing custom objective and team slayer games, but no one speaks up. Also, I could careless about my rank until they are reset. But thats just me.

Anyway, unless it pertains to this list, please keep these comments in the general thread, so as to not clutter this one. Thanks.

Looks like we're all back to square one...

And thanks for being cool about not cutting me yet - tommorrow morning is my last final of the semester, and I'm looking forward to getting in some good Halo action over the summer. You'll be seeing a lot more of me!

I've got a few around that expired on 3-31. You could probably call 1-800-4MY-XBOX and get a replacement code if you give them the expired one.

Just got off the phone with Xbox and they said they don't have any codes tor eplace expired ones and I have to go to a retail store to get a new one. fuck that...any more suggestions?

I've seen 3-month subscription cards at Blockbuster for $14.99. That may be your cheapest option.
 
I'll see if I have any extra ones around, though most of the XBL games I've picked up recently haven't had them. Only one I did have, DOOM 3 CE, I already handed out.

If anyone has DOOM 3 CE and they haven't used the code on that one, it's good until 06/30/05.
 
Hey its me ChaChi, I am just speaking up about why i have not been around latey. I have not been around latey Because I have had to do many major projects for school, I will probably become more active once school is out for summer vacation.

Yes, you are. I know I tried to resurrect a couple of my 2 month codes back at the beginning of last month and was told that there's nothing they could do. Which was why I was surprised that DOOM 3 CE had one, and it was valid until June 30.

Anyone know if you can suspend the year one? Like play with it for 3 months, put it on hold, and reactivate it later? If anyone can get a hold of a new two month one that'd be great.
 
i will definetly start to play more. Ill try to get on saturday/tuesday-wednesday (scheduele permitting) i have also been pretty busy with going up to my camp every night, school work, etc. The little amout of time that i am on its always a full game, so then i play matchmaking for a while, then play something else. ill definetly TRY to get on more now though.

That's a no-no unfortunately. Once it's activated, it runs until it expires or you manually cancel it.

Schools Out: June 23rd I belive. Untill then i will be going to bed around 10 EST. When summer comes i will get on more, its just hard with most of the clan being out west and trying to play with the team. But untill june 23rd i will just play with people who are on about 230-10 est.

Yeah, North Carolina had a ridiculous school year, starting in mid-August and getting out in May. I say had because the tourism industry complained that since school was starting before Labor Day they were losing a lot of business, so starting next year the schools are starting later, the end of August I think it is. But yeah, when I was in HS we didn't start until the first Wednesday after Labor Day, and didn't get out until June either.
