I know there's a thread discussing this but I thought it would be easier to just start a separate one with the complete list. Here's a link to the other thread. Thanks go to lvgamer1 for giving everyone the initial heads-up.

I have on Disagea 2 on hold for me. There's supposedly one more copy at the store as well. If anyone wants a copy, you can pay cost+shipping+trouble. Or if anyone wants to trade, that'd be fine as well. PM me before I head out in a few hours.

damn i want disagae2 real bad, but i need to fixed my cars first. someone idiot broke and stole both of my side view mirror. The last couple days, I have been driving to school w/o it.

I got the last Disgaea 2 at Bailey's Crossroads CC in VA. There is one more in the system at the Fairfax CC but we couldn't find it anywhere in the store.
If anyone can find a copy of Disgaea 2, I'd gladly buy it from you for cost + shipping + a little extra.
I as well would glady do the same if you can get a copy for me.
Just wanted to thank whoever posted Disgaea 2 @ $16.96, snagged a copy today and there was still one left at the Brookfield, WI location.. They were in the bins of the other clearance stuff and I buried the last one in the bin with the zillion copies of Gun they have if any other local CAG want's it..
Thanks a lot, that was very considerate of you!

I found the game before I read your post. (I always look thoroughly through bargain bins)...and inded there was a Disgaea 2 stacked among seven or eight 'Guns.'

Thanks again, indeed a fellow local CAG found it and is very happy to come a step closer having a complete RPG collection of the PS2. :)
Folks, CC never carried Tales of The Abyss. At least not in the stores in my area.
My store still has two copies in stock last I checked ;)

Please, if anybody can get for me Disgaea 2 and Tales of the Abyss, I have:

Cash
Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney (DS)
Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth (PSP)
Drill Drozer (GBA)
Karaoke Revolution (XBOX)
Metroid Prime Pinball (DS)

Thanks

Your welcome glad I could help out..

Found a Disgaea 2 at the CC in North Bergen, NJ still marked $50. Rang up $17. Good lookin' out whoever found this. I left another copy there for whichever Hudson County CAG wants to grab it.
My store still has two copies in stock last I checked ;)
Sure it's not Tales of Legendia? I visit CC at least weekly and they never got Tales of the Abyss in stock when it was released and the website never had it listed (to check for in-store availability).

Stopped by CC to pick up cheap movies and decided on a cheap game instead - Disgaea 2 was sitting on the shelf with a $50 sticker on it, rang as $16.96. Last copy :D

Also, I saw Shadow of the Colossus in the bin, haven't seen it mentioned. Didn't check it though, could be a mistake.

Yesterday while out with a friend, I spotted a Star Ocean: TTOET GH in the bin marked at 16.96. Didnt have an outer box and looked like it was rewrapped. Havent seen that one listed anywhere. Also, Bridgewater NJ had one copy of Disgaea 2 left on the shelf unmarked.

woot, went in to buy a surge protector and there was 1 copy of disgaea 2 sitting on the shelf. of course i snagged it up immediately.

Star Ocean:TTEOT GH is like that, shrinkwrapped with a booklet at the back. Only the original, non-GH version has an outer box.

Are all the old clearance games like Legendia still $16.96? My CC got in a TON of Legendia / Grandia 3, but they are all in the plastic keep cases and all marked at $49.99, which is weird because two months ago they were marked $16.96 and in the bin.

Did they get a reshipment? They literally have about 7 Grandia 3's and maybe 6 Legendia's now... I'm thinking of grabbing a Legendia.
Is the sale is still available?
It should be, most of the games mentioned are marked for clearance vs. a standard sale, so the prices should be valid until the stores are completely sold out. Then again, TRU did raise some clearance prices from their December clearance, so you never know.

All clearance games are still at their clearance prices. Grandia and Legendia are still 16.96 despite some stores receiving replenshment or having stickers on the games for $50. CC has some of the clearance games still at their media warehouses, so when the game sells at the stores(even when it is on clearance) it will replenish until it is out at the warehouse. I have personally seen Bionicle, Kim Possible, and Pokemon Trozei and others all come in on restock AFTER the clearance kicked into effect. Some games like Disgaea II or GTA 3pk for the XBX will probably never come in on replenishment simply cause the warehouse is more than likely out also.

The restock could have been someone returning the games....although the fact that a lot of these games will be removed from the website as soon as they hit clearence makes me think they probably do restock games sometimes.

circuit city in Daly City CA never has anything on sale or worth buying

advent rising - they have 10 copies all marked at $49.99 that have been sitting there for over 2 years

I'm certain that I'm behind the curve, but $16.96 for Ninja Gaiden Black and $8.96 for Far Cry: Instincts seem like pretty good prices to me.

yes for NGB no for FCI

NGB is hard to find... FCI was over printed and was even as cheap as $4 on gamefly for a while

Yeah, I saw Legendia and Xenosaga III show up again at a store that I know didn't have them last week.

Well, I don't feel so bad about Disgaea 2 being on clearance after I got it for full price (and have yet to play it). I've been to 3 CC's since that news broke and not a one had it. No Castlevania PoR or Tales of the Abyss either.

In fact, all 3 stores seem to have gotten rid of most of their cheaper games. 2 of the 3 completely revamped their game sections and much of the stuff was simply removed (both used to have multiple clearance bins and those were gone and all the games within them as well). I'm afraid CC will be a piss-poor place to get the really cheap clearance stuff from now on, very much unlike a year ago when they were one of the best places (and had many cheap games for $2-$4).

Mine still has several bins, but still, clearances at CC ain't what they used to be. Strangely Space Channel 5 is still there for $2.96, I wonder how and why that one game hit such a low price. Anyway, here's hoping CC will pull off one of their legendary July 4th sales...$5 Xbox 360 goodness perhaps? LOL.

I should have added that in 1 of the 2 remodeled stores there is still an endcap with a few cheap games - Space Channel 5 being one of them .

But this store got rid of 2 other endcaps, a free-standing rack, and a bin that all used to have $20 and less games. While none of these were a deal last time I saw them, they are the ones that would be likely to go cheap. But, as you say, the really cheap clearances seem to be a thing of the past, anyway. So maybe it's no big deal. Man, I miss the $1.99 clearance (of just over a year ago) when I was able to go into stores several weeks later and still find hidden gems...

At least with the $15 off $100 coupons the current $16.96/$12.96 clearances could be made decent. But now that they've gimped those (can't use on games) I see little reason to go to CC any more.

its gonna be a lil tough using these coupons.. ive read the back fine print and says excludes games and game hardware.. but somehow sometimes they will go through, we'll just have to wait..

anyways, i've no luck today going to 3 CC's including the 80th and broadway in NYC, CC in Paramus, and CC in Yonkers. all CC's are WIPED OUT of Castlevania POR and Disgea 2.

the only game i was lucky to find was Guilty Gear Judgement for the psp it rang for $12.99, i thought it would be cheaper. it did have a current sticker price of $12.99 so i guess check your cc's maybe they have restocked them.

It was cheaper last week, but only because of the CC weekly sale ad. It went for $9.99.

The Joliet, IL store has a promotion for clearance games 16.96 and under:
Buy 1 game, get 10% off
Buy 2 games, get 15% off
Buy 3 games, get 20% off

The register does not take off the prices automatically. A manual override is necessary. I picked up Karaoke Party ($9.99) and Lumines Plus($16.96) for PS2. No more Lumines Plus left, but one Karaoke Party remaining at the bottom of the left clearance bin.

It's probably safe to assume this is just at your store, since they had to input the price manually.
Abyss is on clearance!?!? :(

I will have to check this out today, don't think I can get the game still though.
No Tales of the Abyss is NOT on clearance. No one has confirmed that it was on clearance. When the new clearance for this month happened, people were speculating what other games could be on clearance and Tales of the Abyss came up. People mistook it for a confirmation and started saying it was on clearance. Also I know at least the Circuit City near me never received any copies of Tales of the Abyss and thats what other here have said.

If anyone has a copy of Disgaea 2 that would be willing to sell or trade it, PM me. I'd be willing to buy it for $24 shipped or trade for it ( my tradelist is a little out of date so if you want to trade ask me to update my TL).

I think people are also getting their hopes up because wampa8jedi reported seeing two in stock at his store. MOST circuit cities probably never even carried the game, and only one person in this thread has reported seeing otherwise.

While I want Lumines Plus, I can throw down a GGC and get it even cheaper at Best Buy... anything under $15 and I'd definitely bite.

Still very disappointed they did away with the tiered clearance.

Agreed, by now many of those $16.96 games would have been $1.96 - $5.96 if they had run it like last year's clearance. And close to $20 with tax for a clearance game just isn't that great when we are used to $5 - $10 clearance prices and in some cases less.

Even the older games aren't dropping from $8.96. Nobody is going to pay more than $1 or $2 for NFL 2K5 let alone $9.

Last year's was splendid. I do hope they do that again and we get an advance list.

Yeah having the reduced prices in the system before the ad was great.

I wouldn't be surprised to see CC do that again since they always seem to make mistakes like that

So is it safe to ask if anyone out there officially has any idea of what games went on clearance this month besides Disgaea 2, and Bomberman for the 360????

Thanks

I don't know, I don't really expect the July 4th clearance sale to be all that great this year. CC seems to be doing good with its monthly clearances and to be honest, I can't really think of anything they would need to blow out and offer such a huge list.

I kind of see them just dropping all the $16.96 games to $8.96 or something similar, but it seems that they are clearancing new games every month and for the most part, it's working.

I kind of like this system better because it's a lot easier to grab what I want.
