Has anybody checked PC games recently? I'm wondering if they're clearanced on the same cycle... I know LoTR:BFMEII CE was less than $20 recently, and the Total War collection is down to like $39 or $29 stickered at my CC. They have a couple of obscure titles that I want (namely the Firepower MS Flight Sim addon). Half Life 2 CE is a really weird one.. if you have it at your CC, it's clearanced down to the $20 something range.

I'm kind of wondering if any of the 360 clearance games dropped more as well. I'd pick up Tiger Woods below $16, since I missed the cool deals glitch on it.

Maybe Valkyrie Profile 2? Just trying to think of obscure RPG's they've had for awhile that probably didn't sell.

Well, it's not VP 2, it's still $30 on the website. Tales of the Abyss isn't on the website, but I don't know if CC ever carried it.
 
Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past/Four Swords and Mario & Luigi: SS aren't on CC.com.

I don't know if they were on there before, but they are still in stores.
 
I hate it when this thread gets my hopes up, I always forget to consider the ramifications of the "Circuit City" part at the beginning. Disgaea didn't even come up in the system.

Many CC's never carried this game, but some did. Just cause it didn't come up at one location doesn't mean another wont have it. Try getting the UPC and check inventory off of that. They can check other stores with the UPC(it takes more time, but it can be done).

Yes, it's definitely $16.96, bought a copy for myself and one to trade.

Same... it was stickered $49.99 and rang up $16.96.

For me, it was still on the shelves, even had it's price divider that said "Disgaea 2 - $49.99" and it had a ton of Medal of Honor games in front of it, I had to dig for it.

In the bin, I saw these -

Okami - It rang up $39.99 though.
Mario and Luigi Partners in Time - Didn't check
DDR Ultramix Xbox 360 - Didn't check

It will make a lot easier to have them check the system with that.

Also, for some reason my CC now had about 9 Grandia 3's and 7 Tales of Legendia on the shelf with price tags of $49.99... weird, because these were in the bin with $16.96 tags awhile ago.
 
I didn't see Tales of the Abyss or Suikoden V (other likely canididates) so I couldn't check those.

I didn't check Valkyrie Profile 2 just because it's on the site at $29.99 still, but my CC had at least 9 of those, so one day it's bound to drop.

No, it was on the shelves with all the other PS 2 games.
 
Grabbed a Disgaea 2 for 16.96, still tagged for 49.99. Looks like they restocked the clearance bins here, there was a few more copies of games I am positive were gone weeks ago.
 
My cc also had disgaea 2.
Still had the 49.99 sticker and the out plastic box and on the shelf.
Brought it up to checkout, asked them to check the price and it rang up at 16.96.

This is the cc at 80th and broadway, they had at least 5 more copies on the shelf. Nothing good in the clearance bins though.

There weren't any copies of Disgaea 2 at my CC.
If anyone could pick me up a copy, I'd be willing to buy one for $24 shipped.
 
Picked up the last copy of Disgaea 2 at the Champaign IL CC. I'm glad I checked this thread, since I've been wanting to pick this game up for a long time.

The problem with PC games that's different from video games is that we get recalls(corporate asks stores to send certain items back each month) on PC games and we don't on video games. So when PC games get old and cheap(like less than $10, there is no exact amount but this is a good rough estimate) they get recalled. It doesn't happen on all of them, but a good number do get recalled.

Also, the repricing on PC games is handled differently than video games. This is good though, cause they usually don't get restickered so they can go lower if you are patient. The problem is it makes it hard to make a list of what has dropped and to what price.

Well, that saves me a trip. I checked Mentor on Wednesday based on someone's hunch in this thread and saw none, was in Mayfield yesterday but running late and passed on checking there.
 
For anyone going to check it out, do yourself a favor, look a few pages back, and grab the UPC I cut and pasted... you'll get far better results with that than asking them to look it up by name.

It also makes calling up these stores a breeze.
 
Oh, I didn't realize how many people want Disgaea 2. The Circuit City in Pacific Commons in Fremont, CA has I think I saw 5 copies. I was there for Guilty Gear Judgement for PSP ($9.98) instead of the 12.xx they marked it as. There were 4 copies of those left.

Got a Disgaea 2 - Thanks to who posted it!

Saw a Castlevania PoR and a Bomberman Act Zero (or whatever it is...).

I got FFVII Dirge and Mario Party 7 price checked, both were full price.
 
No luck finding Tales of Abyss or Castlevania POR, but got a few $15 off $100 vouchers for later use (5/30/07 - 6/18/07). Not a total loss...hoping Ninja Gaiden Sigma will be out by then.

Thats alright paying full price was a good thing to support NIS america and Nipphon Icchi.. Keep them interested in bringing the kick :hot: games...

I got smart, and sold my Disgaea 2 a few months ago for $40 on Ebay after getting it for $45 or so... I never opened it, and I knew in the future I'd want to play it but I'd kick myself if it dropped and I never got around to it.

So here is that day, months later, when I got it super cheap and still saved a ton of money and now, since I don't have much else to play, I will start in on it asap ;)

I did the same with Valkyrie Profile 2, just waiting for CC to drop it cheap now.

Does anyone know if Yakuza is $16.96 at CC? My CC had tons of copies and I'm mildly interested.

I did the same thing too and paid full price for both. It didnt seem as bad to me as I got every 2D Castlevania at launch, and the preorder bonus is very nice. I also brought the limited edition of Disagea 2 from NISA. I probably overpaid compare to getting now but I can easily make or save $20-30 from some other things. It would not be easy if I change my mind and want to get those bonus in the future.

You need to check the restrictions on those coupons. They exclude movies, cds, and GAMES. They are no good to us CAGers for game/game hardware anymore. The $40 off $200 are still good though.

Yakuza should still be $29.99, but might be 20. Definitely not 16.96, yet.

yea i checked yesterday as well. i dont think they ever carried tales of abyss and havent seen disgaea 2 since thanksgiving

Well, VP2 I did hold off on, and I was able to get it from another CAG from the GR clearance ($25 in GR credit + shipping is still < $16.96 in real money at CC).

I checked out a CC tonight while I was out with the family. They had dirt squat there, so I don't feel so bad. No Disgaea 2, Castlevania, or Tales of the Abyss, though I didn't realize that was on sale too :lol:. But I would have remembered seeing that, I think...

dopa345 - I'm with you there. I read this thread before I went out and could swear someone confirmed it was NOT on sale. Then I come back and read that everyone is looking for it. I may hit up one more CC tomorrow as I'm out doing other stuff and will check that one. I had good luck with the last sale there (when I was able to use the last $15 off $100 coupon as well).
 
Yay! I scored last 2 copies Disagaea 2 at Indepdence Center CC today. Sorry, CAG's in Indpendence, MO. If you wanted the copy you must go to Metro North Mall instead.

Just wanted to thank whoever posted Disgaea 2 @ $16.96, snagged a copy today and there was still one left at the Brookfield, WI location.. They were in the bins of the other clearance stuff and I buried the last one in the bin with the zillion copies of Gun they have if any other local CAG want's it..
