Since this is another vague Circuit City sale, I figured it would be a good idea to make a list of the prices that everybody is finding. I checked a few games and this is what I came up with so far. It looks as though most $19.99 games are just ringing up as $14.99 and the $9.99 games are $4.99. It's a small list because I forgot what games I checked, but I'll probably remember some more and add them later. I included the games that were in the ad as well.

Picked up Thief (xbox) for 23.99 after the target $15 coupon. I have no idea why it wasn't 24.99 or 19.99 - 23.99 seems like an odd price, but that's what it was.
 
How did people first find out about this 5 dollar thing?

I purchased Enter the Matrix(GCN) for 14.99 , but I just assumed that was part of the 20 - 30% off clearance they have been doing.

So has that been replaced with the 5 dollar thing? Plus with Circuit City their prices have always matched their website. Now a couple of prices that people have posted have not. So is the 5 dollar thing instore only?

I hate CC because their games are never marked and I never know how much anything is.

I love CC because since they don't mark their prices it's like my own private sale that no one else knows about
 
The sale was listed in their weekly ad and it is in-store only.

Okay, just got back from CC. From what I noticed, most of the older $50 marked games were going for $35. Most of the older $40 games were going for $35, and most of the older $30 games were going for $25. Pretty much every $20 game was going for $15, including greatest hits and the new GBA Classics.
However, the guy there said he couldn't give out the free shirts until tomorrow, since that's what the ad stated, so I had to flirt a little with the other guy to get it. Also, since I was on a roll, I got him to give me the Shenume II game that was on reserve for somebody else. Pretty good day, and Freedom Fighters for GC was $15.
 
Deus Ex: Invisible War for the Xbox is $24.99. That's pretty much the only one I found out that's not listed here.

I'm kind of curious what games actually were discounted by $20, because it seems like all were $5 off.
 
Don't see it on the list so I'll post it. Found Capcom vs. SNK 2 EO for Xbox. Rang up at $4.96. Very excited about this one. Marked $39.99 and on the very bottom shelf, just took a chance and had the cashier scan it. Blew me away, her too.
 
I took way advantage of this deal.

I bought 6 $5 games and took them up to GameStop for trade-in. Since they have the add $10 per 3 trade-ins, I got a total of around $48 credit. They also had the buy 2 used games get one free promotion going on.

Therefore, I picked up Prince of Persia (XBX), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (XBX) and Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic (XBX). He rang it up and he gave me .38 back in credit. All in all, I paid $30 for those 3 games...$10 each...woot! :D

I went to a different CC than the one that I got the games above, and for some reason Zone of Enders 1 rang up at about $15. So did Ape Escape and Super Bust-a-Move 2. I don't know if they had the deal or not at that location.

Hmm...well it seems that MetropolisMania is ringing up $9.99 at most Circuit Cities then. I bought one Sunday for $4.99, but I went to a different Circuit City today and it rang up as $9.99.

You're lucky if they are near each other. I only know one like that for me. Otherwise it tends to be CC and BB near one another.

If the PS1 games are ringing like that, I think I will go take a look at that section again.

The customer service rep was nice enough to scan the ton of games I brought up. :D

Uh......I saw Timpesplitters 2 for 14.99 and saw DBZ Budokai for 24.99 (Both GC). BTW, if you managed to just get a print-out of 1080 Avalanche, Megaman NT, and/or Wario World at the super-cheap price Ebgames has them sometimes, you could then just have CC pricematch the games. I did it for 1080.
