That 3 for $30 CC sale is pretty sweet, I might have to grab a few titles myself (Girl Next Door, Walking Tall, and Buzz Lightyear in particular). The $7.49 DVDs as well are pretty good - especially seeing Agent Cody Banks 2 that cheap already is shaq fu amazing. I'll grab that along with Princess Bride SE finally. :D
 
Ooooh, I think I might have to pick up Bloodlines for $30 this weekend. Hopefully they'll actually have some GGCs (Not likely) so I could knock it down to $25.

its hard to see, because the picture is only about an inch by a half-inch long....but by comparing the picture in the ad to the pictures on ebgames.com

the picture in the ad is white/blue, meaning the microphone is included....the person responsible at CC for creating these ads may not have known the difference between the two...so it may be a mistake, but im sure they'd honor it, in most cases[/quote]

Would BB price match the ad? Great sale BTW, the Pulp Fiction DVD retailed for 22 at BB, and they offer a much better selection than their last 3 for 30 sale. The question becomes whether I should brave the snow to get to my CC.

I really doubt it is, unfortunately. Dreamworks took that out of print a while back. However, you might get lucky and find a 2-discer mixed in with the current stock and get away with it in the deal, it's happened to me a couple of times.

Also, FYI, Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow is listed as $16.99 at Best Buy's site, and $17.99 at Circuit City's site. Fantastic movie, huge surprise and one of my very favorites from last year.

bought back to the future trilogy today since the snow is crazy here; by car of course. practically no one shopping. sunday always the busiest and there were like around 15-20 customers.
 
Man CC fucking sucks. I went there an hour ago because I really wanted the 3 for 30 DVD deal. I get there, and they have one copy left of Pulp Fiction, 3 of Schindler's List, and absolutely none of Saving Private Ryan. They have these great deals and put out hardly any copies, so if you can't make it there when they open, you're fucked. At least there's BB and price matching.

Confirmed. The version IS with the microphone... Good deal. I may have to pull the trigger on this one even though I said I wouldn't buy any games in January... (already bought 1080 at TRU for 13.98).

My bro came back from our local CC a couple of hours ago. Wanted to get Animal Crossing and another PC game but they were sold out of AC. Got instead Girl Next Door (last copy), Pirates of Carribean, and some Dave Chappelle dvd.

Gonna have to stop by later this week to PM BTTF trilogy.

They both were mixed in with the new CD releases so I can see how they got missed.

I just want to say thank you to the topic creator for posting these deals. However, I notice there are a few things missing from the ads. I would appreciate if you would list the ENTIRE ads, regardless of your personal opnions on if its a good deal or not. The guy who was doing this a little while ago would list ALL the video games, and game accessories in the ads. I feel you are focused to much on DVD's which is not related to video games and not the reason I come to this site.

Again I don't mean to complain, but if you aim is to present a comprehensive list of the weeks ads, I would just ask you to please include everything video game and gaming accesory related! Thanks!

Stop complaining. It's posts like yours that made trust stop posting these ads. He is a huge help by posting them weeks in advance so CAGs can know what's on sale and save money.

thanks to those defending me...i wish thier was an "ignore the following posters from viewing this thread" button...'cause some people just piss me off....i was the guy that was posting the ads b4 and the mods and cheapy know why i stopped....and im not going to post that resident evil is at best buy for $49.99 this week...thier are more DvD deals than videogame deals every week because DvDs are always going on sale....if you don't like it, please refrain from viewing my threads in the future

As a long-time lurker, you should realize that this question was inappropriate. Just feel lucky that you get this advance notice in the first place. Its especially not a good way to make a first impression. I myself come mostly to these posts to find the DVD deals, and not the videogame deals b/c i'd rather wait until the games go under $25. So i myself like the extensive list of DVDs.

Two things:
1. I don't think he realized that Best Buy for instance will put RE4 in their ad and advertise it for $49.99, which of course is not deal at all. That was a good example of why every item in the flyer is not posted.

2. There is a forum for DVD Deals, called, "DVD Deals", and I assumed that's where DVD deals should reside. Am I wrong here? I too like to see good deals on DVD's and I'm glad that a gamer forum even has a DVD deals section. I'm just saying, let's not crucify JonnyBravo for making a valid point.

Also, I am compelled to add, this is a great website/forum and I appreciate all the work that goes into it, including all those folks who post these deals. Keep up the great work.

I've been making these posts since before that forum existed and I'm not going to change that just because one person is a bastard. With that said, maybe I should post the dvd deals in the dvd forum, but I'm not going to. For one, its easier on me to just make one thread. For two, I think its easier for everyone else to see the full ads in one thread instead of jumping back and forth. Now, with that said, if their weren't any videogame deals in any of the ads for the week, I'd be more than happy to post them in the DVD forum.

Your helping us out when you post these. So IMO it doesn't matter where you post since it has DVd's and Games. Keep up the good work and F'em if they don't like it. Waiting on your next update for this weekend.
