Circuit City Clearance list. 5 - 10 dollar games as of June 18

Yeahman

CAGiversary!
June 18.

Since this list was bumped I changed it so that no one would think that the old prices still counted. At this point I don't know if CC has any kind of percentage clearance going.

Here then are the games that I know to be 5 - 10 as thier regular price.

GCN:

MX Superfly $10
NBA 2K3 $10
Star Wars Rogue leader $10
Street Hoops $10
Waverace Bluestorm $10
WWE Crushhour $10

XBOX:

Alter Echo $10
Batman Dark Tomorrow $10
Capcom vs SNK 2 EO $10
NBA 2K3 $10
Shenmue II $10
Triple Play 2002 $5

PS2:

Alter Echo $10
Breath of Fire:DQ $10
Corvette $10
Evergrace $10
Evolution Skateboarding $10
Haven $5
RTX Redrock $10
Shinobi $10
Silpheed
Transworld Surf $10
Wipeout Fusion $10

I used to grab any games around $10, even they are not that great. But now after visiting this site I am more careful about my purchase... Like I saw WaveRace for 10, Jet Grind Radio Advance for 12 etc I am still not picking it up, because there are many other games at that price too...

I agree laparka, I hate the Northridge Circuit City. The selection is poor and the employees are, on the whole, an unhelpful bunch. I prefer the Woodland Hills CC, which is strange 'cause I'd think that'd be the one that was gutted. Unfortunately I live much closer to Northridge than Woodland Hills.

I got overall

Skies, Ikaruga, Super ghouls and Ghosts, Castlevania:Harmony

The store here in Wilmington had a really good selection , although I did grab the last copy of skies and ikaruga

At the Daytona Beach, FL. CC, they had a ton of games in the value bin. I picked up Beyond Good and Evil(PS2) and Gungrave(PS2) for a total of $15. I also took up Hunter the Reckoning:Wayward(PS2) to get scanned. It was marked $49.99 but rang up at $19.99.

Daytona is just horrible. I tried Mace Griffin XB and it rang up at 19.99. Only cheap titles was the Gungrave, I couldn't find any of the Castlevanias either.

the woodland hills one was picked as well...
and I usually go as soon as something is announced..
one of you cheapasses is camping out! heheheh

oh well, if I ever manage to get some more good deals, I'll be glad cos competetion out here is stiff!

Went to a couple here in dallas and irving tx and found:

Castlevania Aria of Sorrow-15
Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance-15

And some other stuff not on the list

Gamcube Gauntlet Dark Legacy- 15
Gamecube Tetris Worlds -10
Xbox GunValkyrie - 15
Xbox Jest Set Radio - 5
PS2 Gulilty Gear X1 -20

Xbox Mace Griffin rang up as 20 not 5
Xbox Hunter rang up as 20 not 10

Free? Did I miss something?

For those 2 or 3 CAG's that go to the CC in Parkersburg WV, I went there today (Monday) after going Fri night. They had some games today they didn't have Fri night. However, they only had 1 that I wanted (Hitman 2 GC). It had the correct $15 tag on it.

That still leaves me 5 GC games and 3 GBA games short of what I want that is on sale....I'll try again later this week.

Hey RobotSimp I live in the DFW area.

Have you seen any copies of the first Zone of the Enders.?

I know it's in the "yeah right" category, but also any copies of Suikoden II?

Stop laughing!

I didnt see ZOE, but Ill let you know if I do

and definitely no on Suikoden 2, other than my own copy I bought when it was new

I also got Contra: Shattered Soldier for $14.99 today (was tagged at 29.99). I go to the Martinsville, Va Circuit City BTW. I guess I'll go back tomorrow and throw more cash at them! :D

CHICAGOLAND LOWDOWN

I assume there's a decent number of people here from/around Chicago.
Anyhow, first off, the CC on North Ave. blows big time. They have almost literally nothing on the cheap list. They do still have the buy 3 save $20, but with such a crap selection it doesn't really matter unless you're buying new games. The CC on Elston Ave. is significantly better. They have a ton of copies of Ico ($14.99), at least a few more of BG&E ($9.99), a couple of Giants: Citizen Kabuto ($4.99), and I think one more Z.O.E.2 ($14.99), all of which I've purchase between today and yesterday. The security guard even seemed to know that some were marked down and pointed me in the direction of more (mostly X-Box titles, so I couldn't be bothered). Anyhow, it's a decent place.

And for everyone else, Chicago or not, I'm dying to find Contra, and would be willing to trade Ico or possibly Z.O.E.2 for it. So let me know.

Anyone know if the Gamecube preview discs that were $9.99 are on clearance yet, or will come up cheaper?

They were suppose to be a bonus when you bought a cube originally, but CC & TRU sold them for $9.99 The Best Buy over here still has some for $39.99 LOL But I'm wondering since it's such an old disc, it might be a clearance item too! :)

Also how long is this 50% off good for?

I think I'm going back in a few to buy & try some more! :D

Heh, my CC in Dulles VA is the same way. Their 50% rack is all garbage. There is another CC about 10 miles away, but I'm too lazy to drive there.

I agree that the Woodland Hills Circuit City is slightly better because it's less known, therefore less cluttered. The only other Circuit City I know of is the one in Van Nuys and that one (the last time I went) literally had less than 10 GCN game discs at their store, but they had a lot of X-Box and PS2 stuff.

BTW, had any of you guys had any luck at any of the Tragets? I went to like 5 Targets and all I found was

Hamtaro: Ham Ham Heart Break (GBA) - $7.90 (Mission Hills)
Namco Museum (GCN) - $16.99 (Northridge)

Sicne I'm going to school tomarrow (which is close to the Van Nuys CC)I'll try and find some deals to report regarding the Van Nuys CC.

alright, i tried one more CC near Chicago, in Niles, on Touhy, and it rocked. They had a bunch of stuff, including Contra ($14.99) and Gungrave ($4.99). so, all in all, i got the above two titles, Ico, Giants and ZOE2 for about $60 including tax. CAG rocks me.

Hey look at all these Valley cheap asses! Woodland Hills Circuit City has been rocking my socks. I got Burnout 2, Frequency, and Crazy Taxi 3 for super cheap PLUS $20 off (even though they weren't supposed to) ...then I went back and got Rock n Roll Racing GBA for $10 and Rayman 3 GBA for $10....and Shenmue 2 for $10!!! Van Nuys CC wasn't bad either, I scored Jet Grind Radio GBA for $7.49 and Ape Escape 2 for $14.99 (I got the $10 off deal w/ those 2 games there). I think I'm going to take back Shenmue 2 though....with all these games laying around, I know I'm NEVER going to touch it.

I've found nothing at any of the 3 Targets I shopped, in regards to the clearance prices that were posted in the sticky Target thread; I went to the stores at Balboa/San Fernando Mission, Balboa/Plummer, and Corbin/Nordhoff.

Speaking of the Van Nuys Circuit City, I haven't been there in a long time. The last time I was in there, the shelves were practically empty. I was thinking of heading there this week, but I guess I can wait for your report now. Thanks, Celsius!

Hey, it's good to find another SFV CAG. I agree: the Woodland Hills CC has been good to me so far, unlike its Northridge counterpart. I haven't been there in a while though, since I live half an hour away. The last time I was in there, I picked up the last copy of ZOE2 for $15.

Rapsodist....I didn't even go to Woodland Hills CC until a few days into the 50% off / $20-off-3 sale, and I got a ton of what I wanted. Granted there are a few GBA games they didn't have that I would have liked to have gotten...but on the whole, I made out pretty well. And there were plenty of good cheap games left for other CAGs. Hell, you could go back there today and there's probably a ton of good stuff left. I noticed a Phantasy Star Collection for GBA there, some more Rock n Roll Racing GBAs....lots of Amplitudes....a Jet Set Radio Future, some Crazy Taxi 3s, a few more Ape Escape 2s....

Rare Hero

I didn't notice that much good stuff at the Van Nuys CC last week. I got the last Jet Grind Radio GBA....I did see a Phantasy Star Collection GBA and a Wave Race GC there that I left on the shelf. Other than that, I don't remember seeing anything that good

Rare Hero

If you're in the chicago area, go to the one by North Riverside mall and the one on Harlem & Grand.
The one on North ave wouldn't have a good selection because it's been open for less then a moneth.

I'm from Chicago and I live near 2 Circuit City stores on...

2500 N. Elston Avenue
Chicago, IL 60647
(773) 772-0037

1030 W. North Avenue
Chicago, IL 60622
(312) 521-6070

The CC on North Avenue, opened about 2 months ago and they don't have anything worthwhile. The one on Elston Ave, has a better selection of cheap Xbox games, but I haven't been there in a while...

I also went to the CC at...

7200 W. Grand Avenue
Elmwood Park, IL 60707
(708) 453-0099

But I didn't find anything I wanted...

Hey rocksolidaudio, did you see any of these Xbox games at any of the CC's you went too?...

Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance (Xbox) $10
Bloodrayne (Xbox) $10
Buffy The Vampire Slayer *Don't know if it's Buffy 1 or Chaos Bleeds* (Xbox) $15
Capcom vs. SNK 2: EO (Xbox) $10
Crazy Taxi 3: High Roller(Xbox) $10
Exhibition Demo Disc volume 4 (Xbox) $5
Fatal Frame (Xbox) $25
Sega GT/JSRF combo (Xbox) .01 cent
Timesplitters 2 (Xbox) $10
Unreal Championship *Non "Platinum Hits" version* (Xbox) $10
Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions *Non "Platinum Hits" version* (Xbox) $5

I still haven't gone to the CC's at...

7414 S. Cicero Avenue
Chicago, IL 60629
(708) 458-5300

5701 Touhy Avenue
Niles, IL 60714
(847) 647-1440

4831 Golf Road
Skokie, IL 60077
(847) 679-5153

9600 S. Western Avenue
Evergreen Park, IL 60805
(708) 636-6020

I bought Time Splitters 2 (Xbox) for $10. Escape from monkey Island was still $20. Maximo was $15. Harvest Moon was $15. Maybe some of these prices reflect the buy 2 get $10, buy 3 get $20.

Take Care,
Matthew

I got Rez for $25 (YES!) and Gungrave for $5, but Harvest Moon and SW Clone Wars rang up as $20, so I didn't bother. I wonder if the 50% off only applies to certain games at certain stores?

[quote name='Shadows916']Rogue Ops for Xbox $15 at the Lake Grove, Long Island, NY store.

So you're the one that's been stealing all my cheapass GameCube games huh?

Orland Park, Illinois Circuit City

I didn't check too many there. I picked up the following

Wild Arms 3 $10
Red Faction 2 $10

My copy of Timesplitters 2 was $20 though unfortunately. I Think I grabbed the wrong box since it was in the value bin. Also, I didn't even see a 50% rack.

Thanks for the reports, Rare Hero -- I appreciate it. Looks like you saved me a trip to Van Nuys.

Ape Escape 2 would interest me if I hadn't already bought it at the Granada Hills Wherehouse going-out-of-business sale for $10. It's a nice game, but I still think the first one is better.

I have been seeing Phantasy Star Collection for GBA, but I'm not sure if it's worth the money. I never played any of the series (even though I do have the Dreamcast Super Smash Pack that includes PSII). I guess I was too busy playing Final Fantasy and Legend of Zelda. I'd love to hear opinions on the GBA incarnation of the Phantasy Star series...

rapsodist: Personally haven't played PS1 :)hits self on head for that:). I didn't like PS2, but PS3 is a fun little game that is definitely worth the 10 bucks the collection is going for alone.

Phantasy Star I and III arn't that good, but II is. Keep in mind though that these games are hard as hell. Hours of leveling up and confusing mazes.

WTF! both Circuit Cities by me arent marking down Hitman2 (GC) which is still ringing up as $14.99. And Disney Skate (GC) is still ringing up $29.99.
And they don't have anything else anyway. CC is gaming HELL!

Darn, I didn't have time to go to that store while I was in chicago. I would have bought Contra. I haven't seen that out here in San Fran. I'll have to keep looking.
