Clan match: CheapAssGamer vs. The Bees Knees *Match Results Posted*

Alright guys, I've made the list of people who are going to be partaking in the clan match against the Bees Knees. Hopefully they will shed some light on the matches that will be taking place. But here are the 8 that will be playing and their alternates.

Playing:

Craven
Rabbitt
L1qu1d Night

Jugsta
Samurai Fez
Jlarlee

Alternates:

Aznplaya4lif3
a crispy donut
pimpinc333

And if possible, I'd like to try and get the group of 8 that are playing against the Bees Knees to be on tonight around 9CT to play some BTB and Major Clan Match games. Let me know if thats a problem for anyone.

Last time I talked with them, they said the gametypes for the matches would be announced at the match. So we pick our game and they see it for the first time when we set it up. Same goes for them. The third match will probably be decided by both clans at the time of the match if it is needed.

I have some things to do tonight. I may be able to make it on around 9 Central time, but I'll have to leave around 10:30 Central for a little over an hour.

Enjoy.

Looks like I'll take tonight off, if you're going to get the group together and work on BTB & MCM.

I can make it,
and next time craven, you can just shorten my name to Liquid,
and about having CAGtac as alternates, I dont think that having them play would go over to well with the BKs, nothing against them, but it is a CAG v BK game

You know what he meant, jackass.

Also, if the game is happening tomorrow, take me off the alternates list, 'cause I won't be there.

Sucks to be overqualified, huh? Not that I would know anything about that.

Yeah, at least on this stupid town at this particular time when the economy is doing pretty crappy... at least it seems I already got myself a translation for some mining business that is setting up shop in Mexico.... may not make it to practice tonight...

About tonight, I might be about 30-45 minutes late. I know it's a bad, bad night to be late, but this is really important to some of my family. I'm really sorry guys.

EDIT: Nevermind, I just noticed that the list is in order

Outcome: CAG 0, PA 0

This game was plagued with lag, with players dropping and blue screening randomly. It looks like we tied 1-1. We decided to call it a night with the match unresolved. We'll have to set up another game with them to decide the match.

Just to be Fair and Balanced, here's the TBK report of the match.
Game One, CAG choice: Team Snipers on Headlong
Set to 100 kills with CAG choosing orange as their team color. Coincidentally, orange blends in nicely in some of the dirt areas.... The game started out strong, with our snipers drawing first blood. CAG stuck very closely together while TBK split up into several groups. Our communication was excellent as we called out their team massing in certain location, letting our snipers home in and take them out. TBK hit 50 first while CAG was a close 10 kills behind. Unfortunately lag reared it's ugly head and red barred our best snipers. Even more unfortunately CAG stayed green. Slowly CAG caught up in kills while our snipers were crippled with lag.

Final Score : CAG 100, TBK 97 CAG is up 1, but we believe we would have won if there were no lag.

Game Two, TBK choice: Mad Hamberger on Foundation
Crazy hill gametype, 1 minute between moves and 1 minute time to win. We added a 15 minute total game time to make sure it wouldn't go on forever. As expected, CAG was caught off guard at first. They complained and called it the worst game type ever, lucky for them we didn't chose some of our other wacky games...... Our teamwork and strategy seemed to work as we slowly racked up the time. For a few moments lag hit us again sending a nearly all of us to the yellow. We didn't get to 1 minute, but by looking at the times, TBK had several near or over the 1 minutes mark while CAG only had 2 at 30 seconds.

Final Score: TBK = 6:46, CAG = 2:59 It's 1 to 1 now (if can even count the first game), so it's down to the tie breaker round of standard matchmaking gametypes.

Game Three: 1 flag on headlong, standard matchmaking rules
For some reason Tomcat dropped and Eggy took his spot. TBK started on defense first. Everything went smoothly with everyone in the green. TBK held back CAG, having them grab the only within the last 10 seconds. CAG managed to get the flag down the tower, and sent several warthogs to pick it up. Fortunately TBK stopped the assault and the round ended.

TBK's time to shine! The round started great, with TBK getting the flag out side almost immediately. Then lag hit, and it hit hard. Everyone was sent to red, with several sent to the blue screen. CAG started dropping out and we called for Eggy to end the game completely. That's 3 straight games that lag had affected one team or the other and everyone was getting tired of it. We agreed to call it a night and said goodbye.

Final Score: did not finish.

I personally feel that we could have beaten the CAG team. Our sniper game had TBK in the constant lead, at some points almost 20 kills ahead. We clearly beat them on Mad Hamberger. The lag was only slightly bad and it did not last long. The last Headlong game showed that we could hold back their offense, and we do quite well on offense. I wouldn't mind playing them again, but the lag really killed this match.
So I guess the consistent theme is that everyone was seeing lag. It just seemed to hop around randomly, crippling anyone in its path.

If you decide to paly them again, make it 5v5 or 4v4. I know it isn't as epic, but you're always going to get lag when playing custom games with 16 people (especially in KotH/Territories games).

Yeah and foundation of all maps. No shields and minimum time wins. Thats some BS. CAGTac would have a field day.

sorry, i couldn't make it tonight guys...i PMed Craven about it and was hoping that it was just the router, but when we got home with the new router from best buy, it still didnt work...we called customer support at roadrunner and they said everything looked fine when i connected through ps2 online...so they said that it's probably my xboxs ethernet card that got fried during the thunderstorm...and also my "main" pc's card got fried as well...but for some odd reason, i can access the internet and post this from my parents' pc which is through wireless :?

i probably won't be able to play the rest of the week and maybe next week...i'll have to contact xbox support about this...i might even just wait till the xb360 comes out and hope that there is some backwards compatability... :(
