Okay, so I'm one hour into Persona 3 and already I can tell that, yes, this is the game I've been wanting. There's really nothing I don't like about the game... the storyline seems like it'll be great, it's dark, the weird combination of school life and dungeon crawling is legit, the music could be some of Meguro's best, the voice acting is actually good, etc. I already know I'm going to love this game even though I'm just in introductory segment, and I'm already hoping that Atlus brings over Fes... because I'm gonna want that.
You don't know how bad I want FES.

Well, on the bright side, Atlus has always been a pretty fan-oriented company. I wouldn't be surprised if they were already in the process of bringing the game over, and SMT games have always sold pretty well for them IIRC.

It sounds kinda weird, but I kinda want school to start because this seems like the kind of chill game you can throw on once it gets dark and just relax by playin' this shit for like 5 hours straight. I'm gonna do it.

I still need to play my copy of Persona 3. I'm a little upset I bought it, because I found out Meijer got the game in, and sometimes Meijer has 15-20% off sales (so I could have saved some $$$ on it). Oh well, I already opened it.

I really want to play more games right now, but I've been extremely busy with college (I MUST pass the class to graduate soon, or I'm screwed).

For some reason, I felt like playing some DS today. I played some Mario Kart DS (and got my WiFi setup with my new router). I also played some Mega Man Battle Network 5: DT.

Got in a few hours of Riviera (about halfway through Chapter 5), and a solid 4 hours of Skies of Arcadia: Legends. I played three hours of that over a year ago (so says my save file), hadn't touched it since. After getting reacquainted with all the game mechanics, I'm enjoying it quite a bit. It's not perfect (having to fight with the camera is fun), but fun is all that's required.

I wanted to play my DS but I don't have jack shit to play. I need to get Hotel Dusk, or Pokemon, or some other good game.

With handhelds, I go in cycles. In one cycle I play PSP hardcore, in another DS hardcore, and another, not playing anything hand held. Trying to get back into DS but the whole need something to play is gay. I think I'll get Hotel Dusk or something.

Shadow Hearts 1 is great. Not sure if it's better than the 2nd one but it's decent so far.

played a little bioshock today and some gears online. picking up persona 3 tomorrow, which isn't good because class starts on monday.

it's going to be weird of a week for me... school starts Wed... I pick up Monster Hunter Freedom II on the same afternoon... then the day after I have Tekken DR online... this mixing with school is going to be bad as fuck, but at least my Fridays I'll have time to dedicate to them if I'm not working on school art >_

dood~!!

I am at the final boss of Suikoden II!!

but my PSP ran out of battery >_< !!

and I left my charger here:

I wont be able to get back to it until monday around 6:30PM...

but I wont even have the time to play until thrusday evening!!!

so close yet so far  :bomb: :dunce: :oldman: :twoguns: :headache: :boxing: :argue:

probably going to sit down with bioshock so more, and hopefully either advance further in odin sphere or start up persona 3. I haven't decided yet.

I have 3 armageddon bosses (thus 3 guys i need to level/get elixirs, etc) to go in odin sphere, then I move onto xenosaga 2 which i'm about 4 hours into already. It'll be good to be finally done with odin sphere, as pretty as it is, the fighting gets very repititious as do the load times.

just got home with my copy of persona 3. might play that tonight with progressing a little more in bioshock and then finish the night off with some gears online. agh. class starts tomorrow.

Yeah, classes are ruining game time :bomb:

I almost grabbed yesterday. I was looking at it and then I put it back after realizing next month is going to be expensive with me getting LAIR, Heavenly Sword, and Stranglehold.

Trade in some shit, P3 is a must. I got it and plan on getting all three of those games as well (If you give me the run down on Lair). The other two I know I'll love. I know you have a lot of PS2 games just lying around trade some stuff in/sell it. Isn't the TRU buy 2 get one free deal coming up? If so just wait for that and score some great games. I'd recommend P3, HS, and SH though.

System Shock 2 works on XP, finally!

I'm confused as hell about how the game system works in SNK vs Capcom Cardfighters on DS, but it seems kinda fun. The translation is awesome.

Persona 3 will be played for the rest of the year in small bursts. I think that's the best way to do it, a few hours every few days.

It's just...it's an RPG and I'm not really in the mood for one...at all. I have Tales of The Abyss that I suddenly stopped playing due to not wanting to play an RPG right now.

And I HAVE to get LAIR. The hype I've built up for this game is so great that not getting it would make my head explode

I watched the E3 trailer for it again last night, and I still think it looks damn good.

I've been playing Bioshock for at least an hour or two a day since Wednesday; the rest of my gaming time is split between Jeanne D'arc, Castlevania PoR, and Crush. It's nice that all three of these are totally different games; it allows me to have a change of pace when ever I get tired of something.

Ha ha I'm with you, for me RPG's usually rank in last of my favorite genres, but it's something about SMT games I like. I've actually thought about just going ahead and getting Lair too, since I need something new and decent to play on my PS3. That isn't a fighting game or a FPS. If Tekken DR doesn't go online soon I'll probably stop playing that as well since I am getting bored of it. All these FPS need to stop coming out as well or else I am going to burn myself out on them again like I did last year for the Xbox. I definitely don't want to do that either with some awesome FPS coming out in November too. ;)

If you think you'll enjoy LAIR go for it. To me it looks like Drakengard except better, and Drakengard was awesome.

I haven't been playing too many FPS, but yeah I'll be grabbing 2 in Nov. Unreal and Haze.

Unreal is November, right?

Yeah I probably will grab Lair and HS and SH next month. I'll be able to mix up my genres a little bit more with these new additions. Yeah Unreal comes out in Nov as well as Haze. We will definitely have to play some Co-op in Haze and battle it out with the Cag clan in Unreal. I am expecting one if not both of these to surpass Resistance. :)

Probably will. Resistance was a very good game, but was missing...something.

The weapons in it are badass though :D

And yeah, definitely with Haze. We still have to play Vegas online ;)

I know lol and The Darkness too. I hate fucking backlogs and not having any time to play games. I usually play Resistance online, I haven't even finished the main story line in that. I do love Capture the flag on Resistance online, I've had a fucking blast playing that until like 8AM. You ever plan on getting that again whenever it drops in price? Also what did ya do with NGS trade it in? I've been thinking about it since I do like NGB better but ehh I dunno. One things for sure NG2 better not have any mid loadings or I am going to flip the fuck out.

Yeah, I used the extra $10 for Gamestop and got $40 credit for it. Good enough for me. The loading really hurt the game for me. Not a big deal since I have played the game before

The credit is probably going towards LAIR.

I may get Resistance sometime when its sub $30, but until then, there are more than enough games coming out to keep me busy :D

When is the next time you'll be free to play online?

Yeah good decision man. The loading kills it for me as well, it isn't as bad as some peoples that I have heard. Still when an Xbox version of it has none of that and a PS3 version does, because dev's were fucking lazy and let it go it's BS. Yeah I would wait on Resistance to fall around $30 or so before picking it back up, I mean with all the great games coming out here soon it'll be great and no need to rush out and get it. Wow I have a full work week ahead of me man, next good time for me to have some game time would be Thursday night/ all day Friday. Which I may be playing Tekken DR if it has went online Thursday. If you want to play something Friday though I could swing it. I would say right now but the g/f wants to go out and spend quality time together....

Screw quality time, games are more enjoyable :p

And if Tekken goes online (I think it will) we could do that...and gameshare it maybe :D

I have so many great games on my PS2, it’s just too hard to let them go.
It's just...it's an RPG and I'm not really in the mood for one...at all. I have Tales of The Abyss that I suddenly stopped playing due to not wanting to play an RPG right now.

I watched the E3 trailer for it again last night, and I still think it looks damn good.
Yeah, that’s why I didn’t buy Odin Sphere, and will probably skip out on Soul Nomad and a few others. The RPG genre is my favorite by far, but I already have the most ridiculous RPG backlog. I played Tales of the Abyss a lot last year, but stopped at 18 hours. Some may wonder why I don’t just play now, but I can’t decide what to play, since I have three Shadow Hearts games, a bunch of Suikoden’s, some Wild Arms games, .Hack//GU, FFXII, Brave Story, more Tales (except for Symphonia which I beat), Valkyrie Profile games, a few SMT games, and around 60 more RPGs. I have so many freaking RPGs that I have no idea how I will play them. I’m also a tad short on cash right now (well, a limited amount to spend the rest of the year), but I just can’t give up most of them (I did let a bunch go earlier in the year, but letting more go may be hard). I really want Blue Dragon, Eternal Sonota, Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness, and other RPGs, but I’m thinking I might just buy something shorter over them. Still, my backlog will get more ridiculous soon.

I really love video games but just can’t play them all that much right now. I’m extremely busy with college trying to design, build, and test an electronic product I have to create. And since I live further from campus now, I’m exhausted by the time I get back to my apartment. Along with all this, I write at least one article per week for a handheld gaming site (usually previews. Plan to do reviews, editorials, etc. in the future also). Basically, I’m just swamped all the time. I haven’t played my PS2 in over a week. I play my PS3 each day (usually limited to demo, PSN game, Resistance or MotorStorm online), PSP/DS gets played when I’m in the bathroom at the moment, and I play 360 2-3 times a week. Lol, I use to game for around 30-50 hours a week, now I’m down to around 7 if I’m lucky. :(
I know lol and The Darkness too. I hate fucking backlogs and not having any time to play games. I never finished single player either in Resistance. I played quite a bit, but ended up downloading a game save so I’d have all level. ;) I never had problems with NG Sigma loading, except for more enemies towards the beginning of the game, and I have a 20GB PS3 also (with the lower cache).
started persona 3. I can already tell I'm going to love this game.
All right, you beat me to it. :( I need to stop working so hard, taking a break to play the game.

Classes start tommorrow and with work i doubt i will get that much time to play games. Thats pretty bad too since i'm 20 hours into FFX and warhawk comes out this week. Will have to make time for warhawk either during the night or on the weekend.

1) Markman, I hate you.

2) Persona 3 is legit. I'm like 4 or 5 hours in now. Maybe I'm the only one, but I thought it was wicked awesome how Junpei gives you a game called Innocent Online and the girl you talk to in the game is named Maya.... though those references are obviously lost on most people. Still, it's cool.

Persona 2.

Fired up Persona 3 to see what the fuss was about. Holy-Mother-of-All-Gaming-Goodness this game is fun! Although I've only played about 6 hours (up to the subway train boss, where I died) I can tell this is going to be one of my favorites this year. The school and social links are alot more interesting than I thought they'd be--you actually get to know and care about the characters more than many other RPGs IMO.

been too busy to get deep into anything... mainly due to playing this, which is what I am programming at the same time... thus the playing is actually testing I guess... almost done after 2 months >_<

I am almost done with Bioshock. What should I play before I get Blue Dragon, Metroid Prime 3 and Warhawk this week? I am thinking of finishing Earthbound or any of my SNES games I haven't played in awhile. Then which one should I play first? I am thinking Metroid Prime 3 first, since it will probably be shorter than Blue Dragon. Warhawk will be played asap, but since it doesn't have a story, I won't feel I need to complete it like I would with the other two. I hate pre-ordering games before they have release dates.

Classes start for me today so my game playing might go way down. However, I've been entertaining myself with some Railroad Tycoon 3 as of late. I wish I could find my Civ 4 so I could buy Beyond the Sword and play that as well

Took a semi-legitimate sick day from work today... allowed me to wrap up Riviera this morning, thinking about putting in an hour or so with Skies of Arcadia before lunch and some work in the afternoon.

I wish I could work from home so I could get some gaming in during my lunch break. Anyway, I've been playing F1 Pole Position for the SNES and my import version of Samurai Shodown 6 for the PS2. I've almost got all of the hidden characters in SS 6 opened up but the final boss battle in the game is difficult (cpu plays cheap). After I'm done with that I have an import copy of Macross: The Super Dimensional Fortress on its way from Japan this week.

But in order to do so I had to run to the office at 7am to grab some stuff (VPN connection on my laptop is busted). But oh well - on to Skies!

Finally got around to playing bio shock last night and turning on my 360 lol. I have to say I am impressed by the game thus far. It plays great, looks great, story is okay thus far. I'm not really that far just got to the part where
You have to take pictures of the three dudes to get into the fishies place?.
Any estimate on how much more gaming time I have left? I hate when I get into a game and it ends to soon.

I woke up late so now I'm not going to my first class since the teacher throws a fit when anyone walks in late. Guess I'll be playing Vegas online for a bit. I played it for hours yesterday.

Lots of fun :D

You've got QUITE a long ways to go.

By fishies you mean Peach Wilkins right? If so, yeah, you're not very far at all.
