I just ordered the Quick Charge Kit, kinda as a test item, because I'm pretty sure one of my accounts has been flagged, and am testing with another account to see if my address has been blacklisted or not.

I'm so glad they have the Quick Charge Kit I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy batteries for this controller since I'm just using it for the computer anyways.

can someone tell me what does a 'play and charge' kit and what does a 'quick charge' kit do???

i thought they were the same thing...i got my play and charge the other day but didn't open it, and ordered quick charge kit tonight...but i don't know what either of them do. :/

play and charge and quick charge are the same thing they chare 360 battery packs quick charge charges a controller in 2 hours where it takes play and charge 4

play & charge allows you to play the game while the controller is charging. the quick charge requires you to remove the battery from the controller.

Yeah, I ordered the quick charge kit. Probably won't use it but it was cheap. Also ordered Up but only because I hear it's good but don't want to pay the $20 for it.
Is it a problem if I haven't received my bonus tickets yet?
Nope. Haven't seen mine yet either. Hopefully after the reset later today.

Ordered the Quick Charge Kit as well, my current batteries are all wonky and work only on occasion, but it beats having to use my regular rechargeable batteries when the Wii always seems to hog them up. Thanks for the heads up, I didn't realize they added anything new until I checked this thread, despite the fact I was doing puzzles off and on throughout the day.

Oh, and a random question (I swear, this confuses me EVERY double tickets day):

If I max out tonight (before 12am PST), will I still get the double tickets? I know that I can play until Saturday 12am PST and get the extra tickets. But I haven't tested it pre-12am to see what happens...and I don't want to try now and not get the tickets, especially with the "glitchiness." Did anyone test this during previous double ticket days? :)
Regarding the double ticket day, I said I'd test it and I did. So I played after 4pm PST 1/16 and finished before 12am PST 1/17. Also, I didn't play again until after 12am PST 1/18. I did not get the double points. So my conclusion is that the double point day starts at 12am PST, but the regular daily reset (4pm PST) still follows UTC. I hope this clears things up for people.

I played during the same period and got my 1000 points. Someone else in my apartment was playing at the same time. Her account only got 400 bonus points even though she played the full 1000. Maybe they screwed up the bonus points this time around and that messed up the results of your test.

What? Double ticket day was Friday 1/15... Which explains why you didn't get any bonus tickets between 1/16 and 1/18 on that account.

You should have started testing shortly after the reset on 1/15 UTC, which would have been after 4 pm PST on 1/14.

I always play shortly after the reset, and got bonus tickets on my accounts. Oddly enough, one of the accounts (not the one right after the reset) only got 400, too. The account before it, and the one after it both got the full 1000. Sadly, none of my accounts got extra bonus tickets this time (I got an extra 2k once -- effectively quadruple ticket day -- which they quietly took back a couple days later).

My second account got bonus tickets, the full 1000, but still no e-mail redemption confirmation as of yet.

Does Bing usually bring back limited time prizes sooner than later? I wanted to get the Quick Charge but it's already gone.

It is quite random and hard to predict. The Quick Charge Kit was supposedly listed a while ago, but that was before my time, so I would guess sometime early 2008?

Depending on how many orders end up getting flagged (for various ToS violations), it is possible that it may make a short re-appearance in about a month from now (orders are habitually verified/validated about 29-to-32 calendar days from when they are placed). IF that happens (and that is a big IF), it will probably only be up for a few hours.

Sorry, it was late, I typed the wrong date, but I did test it when it was double points day. If you play shortly after the reset and play again after the reset the next day, then that means it's still within the 12am-12am bonus point day and you will get your points. For my test, I only played after the reset before 12am only.
Anyway, seems like people are not getting all the bonus points, so who knows.

Several of the accounts I max'd only come out on Double Ticket Days (when I am motivated to make that extra effort)... So, those accounts didn't get tickets on prior days, nor the following days... Just 1019 tickets on Double Ticket Day, and 1000 bonus tickets (on all but the one with 400) showed up on Tuesday.

And, yes, they always seem to mess up the tickets for some people's accounts. You might want to email them and ask them specifically why your tickets didn't show up. Would love to see their response.

Just FYI, if you got the email for the Nov DTD, it clearly stated UTC on the times. And, my past experience has been that it is indeed reset-to-reset (pretty much doing the exact same thing you described).

Anyone else not get their toaster oven? I ordered one in early November but haven't received it. Wondering if my acct. is flagged. I did get a small item (pen) last week.

Just tried ordering another small ticket item on the second account, and now I got an immediate redemption e-mail. Don't know why the first e-mail didn't get sent for redeeming the other prize. No I'll have to wait and see if they'll send out the prizes. What with school starting up again, it was probably useless to make a second account. I don't even have time to play the first one even.

I'm missing one from late November and received a play and charge kit from Dec 6ish, so it may be back ordered, but I've seen people get some before and after my order date so idk.

Guys, I'm freaking out right now...

I ordered a Habu mouse on one of my two backup accounts on 10/29 last year. The 12-week mark was yesterday (1/19), and I still haven't received my prize or a shipping email. Does anyone think that my backup account might be flagged? Or have I just not gotten my prize because the Habu mouse is backordered (my tickets still haven't been refunded)? Should I email Bing about my order, or would that bring too much attention to myself (I think my main account is still legit with them)?

I have two accounts linked to that possibly flagged address and a total of six prizes between them were ordered from October to December (Habu mouse, Sony picture camera, snuggie, wireless 360 headset, mobile charger, and Windows controller). None of those prizes were shipped, and I haven't gotten any emails for them either. I'm really hoping that that address hasn't been blacklisted. What to do...what to do? :???:
I don't know if this is the topic for this forum, but if anyone can help me out, it'd be great.
I'm doing this one Chicktionary puzzle and for the life of me cannot get the last word. The main word is "VERANDA". It's missing a 5-letter word. These are the words I got already (anear, arena, daven, drave, raved, raven, redan, vanda, vaned, varna). It wouldn't take DENAR, NAVAR.
I looked up anagram sites and nothing helps. I've run into puzzles with weird words before, but this one really stumps me. If anyone know the answer, I would REALLY appreciate it.

UPDATE: I tried clicking "give up" twice, the page went black. I had to close the window and open the game again. They gave me 19 points and never showed what the missing word is. I guess we'll never know.
UPDATE:

As irony would have it, I actually got that same VERANDA Chictionary puzzle last Friday (while I was typing for double tickets). I typed in all the words from the anagramssolved list and there was one 5-letter word missing. I tried "Hint" and it told me "no more hints left." I tried "give up" FIVE times, and the game just froze on me for a few seconds after each click. Finally, I clicked "Hint" again and it ended the puzzle, giving me 19 tickets. No missing word was shown (like other puzzles), so I'm thinking that this is indeed a glitched puzzle.

I've solved all my available puzzles for Word Slugger and Spelling Bee and I've NEVER gotten a glitched puzzle. I get puzzles all the time that require one or two of those five missing words from the anagramssolved page (DES, DEI, KEV, VIN, VON), but I've never gotten one that's never let me skip or give up. And all of them have shown me the missing word after giving up (except when the "tickets earned" box blocks that last word). The "tickets earned" box for VERANDA wasn't blocking the last word...there just wasn't a word there. Contact Bing about that puzzle if you haven't already. It might help some other players out that are stuck on it. :)

That's nice to know. Now I know to always wait after 12 am PST to play for double tickets (I got all 1000 of my bonus tickets yesterday for two accounts that way). Thanks. :applause:

I hope you and A Gamer get those extra 600 tickets. Good luck, guys!

So I noticed a few minutes ago that the Motion Sensing 360 Tetris game has the wrong picture. It has the picture of the crossword puzzle game that was also up for vote.

This should be the right picture:

Try clearing your cache in Internet Explorer. Or try playing a couple puzzles using some other browser (FireFox?).

If that does not work, it is possible that you got a temporary ban from ASIRRA (the cat/dog thing)? This occurs if a certain number of challenges are failed on a single IP on a single day. If your IP is banned from ASIRRA any computers on that internet IP will no longer see the challenge, and thus will be unable to get any tickets for playing the games. In most cases the ban seems to last for 24 hrs.

ASIRRA is still in it's infancy. Bing may even be the first application of the technology, and they seem to be 'tweaking' with it on a daily basis. Just yesterday they changed the session duration (i.e. the time you have to respond to the challenge) to roughly 4 minutes, down from about an hour previously.

Just keep in mind that the ASIRRA service is an independent service and not directly related to Bing (although they are both Microsoft), so getting a temporary ban from ASIRRA is unlikely to affect your Bing account(s) status.
That's when I thought it was over :( thank goodness they didn't go with that, although if they listened to the surveys they would have a laptop/360 system up since I'm sure most of us clicked those boxes.
Well, they did listen to a few surveys. They added movies and board games. Still no more 360 games though.
thats all they used to give away?
No. That's from a survey. It asked what you would like to see in the Prize Mall.

How many would one have to fail to get the temporary ban?
How many would one have to fail to get the temporary ban?
According to the ASIRRA web site, 500 failed challenges from a single IP on a single day.

However, it does not indicate if time-outs are also considered 'failed challenges' and with the sessions timing out at 4 minutes, you could get hit for walking away while the puzzle is loading.

You only have to pass 12.5 ASIRRA challenges per account per day (to get 1000 tickets) so failing 500 times is unlikely to happen, and thus should not affect most people.

However, if there are lots of people on that same IP (think college dorm, office building, apartments, WiFi hotspot), then it is possible that one IP could be shared by lots of Club Bing members, which could be compounded even more if they have more than one active account.
