Club Nintendo 2012 (Club Year Ends 6/30/12)

Got my platinum award last week.

Has anyone figured out how to view the years when our post play surveys expire yet? I'm pretty close to platinum already and was planning on saving them for the next club nintendo year, but now I'm worried about them all expiring soon. :cry:

If it really turns into an issue, simply look through your Post Play Surveys and complete the ones that are due within a month of the current date without worrying about the year. I understand about having the padding of the PPS in your account, but realistically, if a person has a lot of them to contend with, chances are they will buy enough Nintendo products to make it to Platinum next year without them. I mean, you almost have 600 coins in half a year, and I almost have 1200, so I think we'll be good for next year. ;)
 
Went to register a game I got the kids for Christmas and the site says the code has already been redeemed. :( Anyone run into this before?

I had the same problem this evening. I checked back 10 minutes later and the survey was available for the full amount of coins.
 
Wahoo, Platinum'd for next year. I guess it sure does pay to double dip in 3DS systems (no it really doesn't)
Nintendo didn't ever response to my email about my missing Platinum prize. I guess I should call them?
 
I had some surveys to do by dec.30 and I went to the site and they are not listed anymore. I called them and they are going to look into it, but the guy who I spoke to had no idea why they were not there anymore. They were there last week.

I sent them an email a couple weeks ago regarding this, as well as my general dissatisfaction with the new layout and suggestions for some improvements, and received this reply:

Thanks for contacting us with your feedback. I apologize for the delay in our response during this busy time of year. We’re constantly working to make the Club Nintendo experience better over time, and I want you to know that I’ve forwarded your comments to the appropriate departments here at Nintendo of America. While I can’t guarantee that we’ll make the type of changes you suggested, we do take all feedback into consideration.

It’s important to note that all new post-play surveys given out since May of 2010 expire 120 days after registration. In most cases, the survey expiration date will be the month that is listed.

I'm in the same boat. Received a notification on 11/29 that my gift shipped, yet it's not here. E-mailed them to see what was up, but so far nothing. I'm going to give them a few more days to respond, then I'll call in. If you figure something out in the meantime, please advise.

Yep, I reached the 2400 coin threshold for the year last night. I guess I went Nintendo crazy this past year after not buying much from them since I bought my PS3 back in 2008... One Wii, DSi, 2 3DS' and a plethora of games later and this is where I'm at. I suppose it's also worth mentioning that a lot of the games I got were bought dirt cheap(or purchased by family members - so a lot of them are actually the same game registered twice), thanks to CAG, so I didn't actually spend THAT much money.

Question.. I have 660 points. I've had them for awhile..maybe two years not sure. Will they expire tomorrow (1/1) or June when the new club nintendo year starts?

I got an email a couple of days ago that basically said, "Okay, we're able to ship this out to you, please wait for the shipment notification" and I got the notification a few days later. I asked for the delivery confirmation or tracking number, and I guess they don't have it. Or maybe our orders never actually shipped. See: the people who got double sets.
They are using UPS, not sure if they used USPS for initial shipments. But UPS is pretty solid, so I suspect I'll have my free gift very soon.

Dammit - was hoping this would be resolved by now. I think they did this intentionally to make you use up all those banked surveys and such. It sort of fits along with them reducing the time period for newer surveys.

Thank you. I haven't kept up with Club Nintendo recently other than verifying my platinum gift. Did ambassadar surveys and extras to get the mario shirt. Tempted by Mario vs. D.K. march of minis, but us ambassadars just downloaded GBA version. Will wait til next months choices.
 
Anyone recommend Xevious or should I just save my points for Jan 10. Seems like most the trinkets are meh, and I sitting on about 500 pts right now so 100 isn't a waste right?

Honestly, save it. It isn't great at all. Mario VS Dk is awesome though, if you don't already have it.
 
I love Xevious and it was an instant purchase when it was added to the store during the Summer. But, I fell in love with the arcade game a few summers ago.
 
Received my mario shirt. It is nice quality for a free shirt. Well worth the points. I debated getting the LoZ 25th anniv. posters, but I have never used any of my mario or zelda posters from club nintendo.

Wait, is there a general understanding that there will be different games up on the 10th? I thought maybe it was just a limited time for these games and then that was it (no more games). If there are going to be more I'll definitely wait. But if not I may get Fluidity and Xevious (already got 2 copies of M vs DK - one for me and one for my son).
 
I think the games will be rotating.... but don't know.

Picked up MvsDK though... 150 coins for $8 instead.... not too bad. considering it's free.

That would be epic, but I really don't think it will be. It's $13, right? Yeah...we can still hope. :(

I'm pretty sure there will be new games up tomorrow. It would be strange if these relatively unrelated titles were the only ones you could redeem for.

There are going to be more, but I've gotten the feeling from PR's verbiage that they won't be up right away. I guess we'll find out soon, though.
 
I interpreted it as these titles are through the 10th and that new ones will be available some time. I didn't read it as saying new ones will be available each month. I hope I'm wrong.
 
Eh, what the hell. I picked up Fluidity and Xevious. So that means the only one I didn't get was Super Mario Kart. But I haven't even played the 3DS Mario Kart I bought a month ago so I didn't see the point in that.

Hopefully they keep it going like with new selections every so often (if not every month). I have over 800 points still left and was never really into any of the physical prizes they've had (though I did get my son one of the T-shirts a few months back).

I also noticed already I had a post-play survey (10 points) for M vs DK - so at least you get 10 of that 100 or 150 back almost right away! That's nice. I wasn't sure if you'd get them for these redeemed point games.

So, I really wish they would add the years back on the To-Dos. I already have 500 points for the year and I have a few things with dates before June 30th. One of them is the 50 point registration survey for Endless Ocean. I know that is a somewhat older game and it could very well expire this year. But I thought I went through and did all the ones that were set to expire before the end of this club year (June 2012). I could have missed that one though. The expiration is Jan 18th or so, so I'd like to know soon! I may just have to do it anyway. But with these redeemable games I see myself very easily getting enough for platinum just from the post-play surveys for those and would like to hold off on any other points if I can. I also have a registration survey for Glory of Heracles due this month. I may let that one pass as a test (to see if it is still there). That is somewhat newer so I think it was good for at least another year (if not two). If it expires, then that is pretty solid proof that they reset everything to expire this year no matter what it said before which may explain the lack of years on the expiration dates - which would suck big time...

Yeah, the wording they used in the email was:

"Get this round before they expire on January 10th, and look out for more new games throughout the year."

We'll see.
 
I HATE that DSiWare games require internal memory (as opposed to 3DS games, virtual console games that can run off of the SD card). I transferred all of my DSiWare games over, and they take too much space, so I have to have 10+ on the SD card, and cannot play them from there...

I want Dr. Mario Express, but I am hesitant. Also, why is it 150 coins (normally $5), and Dr. Mario Online RX is 100 coins (normally $10)? Seems uneven.
 
Awesome. Picked up Kirby, contemplating Dr. Mario Wii.

In the description for Kirby, it said it would be available until January 31, 2012. Didn't check the others.

EDIT - Just after I posted that, they stuck the Jan. 31 date on the reward page. I hope this means we're actually going to get new games every month. I'll burn through a ton of coins.

If they change the downloadable games every 3 weeks, that is amazing. They are the best and most functional prize this reward service offers, IMO.
 
I wish they would make a proper update of Dr. Mario 64. I have the WiiWare version, but really miss the 4 player multiplayer option.
