[customspoiler=Basic FAQ]
-Basic Info/Overview
For those that don't know Club Nintendo is Nintendo's loyalty program of sorts. When you buy a Nintendo Console/Handheld, or a Nintendo published game, you get a pin that you can enter online to earn points. These points can then be redeemed for games, accesories, and collectable items. If you earn enough points in a Club year (300 for gold and 600 for platinum, which each have their own reward), you also receive a free bonus only available to a select few. You can read the full list of eligible titles, as well as their point value, here.

-How do I get coins for digital purchases?
In order to earn coins on any digital games you purchase on Wii/WiiU/3DS/DSi, you will first need to link you Club Nintendo account to your system. Instruction for doing so can be found here.

-Can I play the Wii games on my Wii-U?
Yes, but as of now, only in Wii mode. Native Wii U support might be added later on, but will most likely require the typical $1-$1.50 fee to transfer over.

-How do I play Wii games on Wii U
You will need to enter Wii mode on your Wii U. Instructions on doing so can be found http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wiiu/en_na/features_wii_menu.jsp?menu=wii_shop&submenu=wup-wiishop-ht-redeem-code"]here[/url].

- If I don't spend coins for the entire year long period, do they carry over?
Yes, you can keep your coins past the Club Nintendo year they are redeemed in. However they only count toward gold or platinum status for the Nintendo year (june 31st-july 1st) they are redeemed in. After two years old points do expire, so make sure to spend them before then. You can check Coin balance information while, logged in, at the top of the page.

- Is there a list of previous rewards for people who accumulated a lot of coins? Similar to Square Enix's Ultimate Tier?
The extra rewards for Club Nintendo are for those that accumulate enough points to hit Gold or Platinum status (300 and 600 points, respectively). If you reach the required number of points in a year, Nintendo will automatically send you your reward, with no cost to you or your points.

- Does the list of eligible games update as the games come out or on some sort of schedule?
The list will be updated before the game comes out, do to things like Pre-Purchase bonus points. Any game you can buy, should already be on the list and able to redeem.

- When do they typically announce the prizes for Gold and Platinum?
Generally at the end of a Club Nintendo year, but don't expect it anytime soon. Usually it will take at least several months for them to ship it out.

- Is there anyway to enter multiple copies of the same game or device?
They have an option in the settings to make your account a family account, which means it can have sub-accounts that allows you to register multiple copies of games. The coins from all the sub-accounts all end up in the same main account coin collection.

- How does the site show what balance of coins you have to spend versus your total towards Gold/Platinum?
At the top right of the screen you can see the coin counter. The big number is your total coin amount, and the bar underneath is your progress to gold or platinum status. The number needed to advance is displayed directly above said bar. Redeeming your coins does not affect this counter, as it is only reset at the end of the year.

- How can I tell if a code is valid without redeeming it?
If you want to check if a code has already been registered, without registering it yourself, all you need to do is try entering the code while you are logged out. It will tell you the name of the game, as well as how many points it is worth, without activating it.[/customspoiler]

Let me know if I missed anything or if something breaks!

My Mario posters came in. I really like them. :bouncy:
I'm getting overloaded on these Club Nintendo posters lol. I've got 2 tubes of 3 posters each and another set of 3 from this year's Platinum coming this year. I still need to get around to framing them too. They just look so damn good!

None of the games appeal to me....

I wish I would have known about the free smash bros download, woulda loved to have that. Im already close to platinum for 2013-2014.

Grabbed the Brain Age Sudoku.  Think I'll pass on Mario Golf.

Just leaves me with 60 older coins (Nov or Dec 2011 purchases) that would expire next year.  So not a lot of rush to spend the rest of the balance.

I'm only interest in games, not any of the knickknacks, cases etc.

Still need to pick one of these lame rewards and I'm running out of time. Think I'm between Sakura Samurai and Zelda DX.

New games are up.

3ds:

Mario Golf
I forgot there was a GBC version of Mario Golf, was supposed to be really good if I remember right. Think this is the first must get 3DS game they've had on Club Nintendo since I got my 3DS. Wish it was the GBA version, or that we got GBA and SNES games on the 3DS when it's plenty capable, but I'll still happily take this.

I'm considering getting Wario's Woods since I have 400 points and only ever use them towards digital games. Looking at screen shots I assumed it was a crappy NES puzzle game a la Yoshi, but it seems to have pretty solid reviews. It's just ashame that they never put the SNES version online since it looks to be much better. Anyone play this and think its worth the points?

Nothing for me this month, and I have no idea why they are offering NES Play Action Football again.  I doubt people were clamoring for it a second time (let alone the first time...).  And now its 150 coins when it was only 100 coins last year.

Oh wait, football season is starting up again, I doubt people would be blinded by that fact alone though...

True I also have the platinum set of posters coming later. I would like to get the DK ones in addition to the 6 but dont have enough coins. :oldman:

Ugh, I have an influx of points so if someone wants a game, let me know. I am sure we can work out a trade. I was hoping to get my hands on the Sakura Samurai game, but alas, I doubt anyone wants to trade that.

Well I showed my girlfriend the tote and she liked it, so I went ahead and got it.  With all the positive talk about Mario Golf I think I might get that as well.

Then again, I have all the ambassador games and haven't beat a single one...

I'd trade you something for the Sakura Samurai game. I wasn't at all thrilled with ANY of the platinum gifts. If you have something in mind or want to talk trades just PM me.

I remember the GBC Mario Golf game being awesome because it was an RPG masquerading as a golf game. With any luck the new 3DS Mario Golf will be more like that and less like the 3DS Mario Tennis game they made.

Because there's more value and enjoyment for some of us in said game than in posters or a CD?
Link's Awakening was a solid reward for those of us who didn't have it yet.

But yeah, I'm all for games. Zero interest in game posters, knickknacks, soundtrack CDs etc. I'd let my coins/rewards expire if that's all I could get.

I find that a little hard to believe.
Not at all. I'd never display game knickknacks as they just don't fit my decor, and I don't like instrumental music period--much less game soundtracks.

I guess I could request stuff and resell, but I'm not hard up for cash, so why bother? I just enter the Club Nintendo codes as I've always been able to find a game here or there I want, and no skin of my nose if some coins expire as I'm not actively trying for gold status each year. I just enter codes for games I buy that have them, and if I get there great. If not at most I miss out on a reward game that's usually only a $5 VC title anyway.

Mario Golf is one of the few GBC games I still play from time to time. It holds up extremely well. The perfect digital game to pick up and play in sort bursts.

Ehh, I went ahead and ordered the Pikmin Tote, haven't really been interested in any of the games so far, was gonna get Brain Age but I already have the full DS game, I can just play that.

If anything, the gf gets a new bag to go with her countless others

Mario Golf is mighty tempting but wish it wasn't 150 coins. I'll probably get it anyway since I spent my coins on nothing but VC games anyway.

Still debating between MM CD or SSB VC for platinum/gold reward.

Still debating between MM CD or SSB VC for platinum/gold reward.
If it helps any, SSB was one of the monthly games back in Sep 2012. Several games featured as monthlies have been repeated, so there is a chance it might come back again (no promises obviously), whereas the Zelda CD is limited edition and you will only be able to pick it up from a reseller once it is gone on CN. Just some food for thought, I'm not saying one is better than the other (personally I'd have more fun with a game than a CD, even though I love Zelda's Score), but thought it might be useful to know :)

I'd go for the CD. You can get SSB at any time, and it may even be a 150 coin download at some point.

I would trade a mario golf code for a zelda dx code for any gold/platinum member that doesnt want it or already has it. I have like 800 club nintendo points.

I went with the Zelda CD, though I've yet to play the game.

Still saving my coins in hopes of a golden nunchuk return to go along with my golden Classic Controller Pro.

Goddamn it, I have 145 points.
Have you redeemed a copy of Skyward Sword or Pokepark Pikachu's Adventure?

Nah, I'm like him. I've had a decent job for the last few years and the amount of knickknacks and assorted crap in my apartment is overwhelming. My calendar is on my phone, I haven't bought a CD in years and the only posters I really want are prints of Camille Pissarro paintings.

If they sell a Link statuette or something, it will end up in a box in the closet, because I literally will have nowhere to put it.

Call me lazy, but can we have a link to the main club nintendo page in the OP?  Grabbing wario's woods btw... never played it as a kid.

Mario Golf is great.  Played a lot of  it last night and this morning.  Takes a little bit to get the hang of without a manual to figure out all the controls, but a lot of fun once you figure it out.

There should be a digital manual available to you when you pause the game or go to the Home screen. It'll be listed along the bottom.

I am really sick of constantly seeing 3DS GBC ports being offered up as reward deals. How about an SNES or GBA game once in a while.
