[customspoiler=Basic FAQ]
-Basic Info/Overview
For those that don't know Club Nintendo is Nintendo's loyalty program of sorts. When you buy a Nintendo Console/Handheld, or a Nintendo published game, you get a pin that you can enter online to earn points. These points can then be redeemed for games, accesories, and collectable items. If you earn enough points in a Club year (300 for gold and 600 for platinum, which each have their own reward), you also receive a free bonus only available to a select few. You can read the full list of eligible titles, as well as their point value, here.

-How do I get coins for digital purchases?
In order to earn coins on any digital games you purchase on Wii/WiiU/3DS/DSi, you will first need to link you Club Nintendo account to your system. Instruction for doing so can be found here.

-Can I play the Wii games on my Wii-U?
Yes, but as of now, only in Wii mode. Native Wii U support might be added later on, but will most likely require the typical $1-$1.50 fee to transfer over.

-How do I play Wii games on Wii U
You will need to enter Wii mode on your Wii U. Instructions on doing so can be found http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wiiu/en_na/features_wii_menu.jsp?menu=wii_shop&submenu=wup-wiishop-ht-redeem-code"]here[/url].

- If I don't spend coins for the entire year long period, do they carry over?
Yes, you can keep your coins past the Club Nintendo year they are redeemed in. However they only count toward gold or platinum status for the Nintendo year (june 31st-july 1st) they are redeemed in. After two years old points do expire, so make sure to spend them before then. You can check Coin balance information while, logged in, at the top of the page.

- Is there a list of previous rewards for people who accumulated a lot of coins? Similar to Square Enix's Ultimate Tier?
The extra rewards for Club Nintendo are for those that accumulate enough points to hit Gold or Platinum status (300 and 600 points, respectively). If you reach the required number of points in a year, Nintendo will automatically send you your reward, with no cost to you or your points.

- Does the list of eligible games update as the games come out or on some sort of schedule?
The list will be updated before the game comes out, do to things like Pre-Purchase bonus points. Any game you can buy, should already be on the list and able to redeem.

- When do they typically announce the prizes for Gold and Platinum?
Generally at the end of a Club Nintendo year, but don't expect it anytime soon. Usually it will take at least several months for them to ship it out.

- Is there anyway to enter multiple copies of the same game or device?
They have an option in the settings to make your account a family account, which means it can have sub-accounts that allows you to register multiple copies of games. The coins from all the sub-accounts all end up in the same main account coin collection.

- How does the site show what balance of coins you have to spend versus your total towards Gold/Platinum?
At the top right of the screen you can see the coin counter. The big number is your total coin amount, and the bar underneath is your progress to gold or platinum status. The number needed to advance is displayed directly above said bar. Redeeming your coins does not affect this counter, as it is only reset at the end of the year.

- How can I tell if a code is valid without redeeming it?
If you want to check if a code has already been registered, without registering it yourself, all you need to do is try entering the code while you are logged out. It will tell you the name of the game, as well as how many points it is worth, without activating it.[/customspoiler]

Let me know if I missed anything or if something breaks!

Got an Animal Crossing one for the Mario themed inserts.

Might get the Zelda one after the platinum awards are announced next summer. I doubt they'll ever become unavailable given they're replacing the Animal Crossing DS case that was up forever.

Got the Zelda case! Nice to see this pop up after missing out on the 3ds pouches and Zelda posters. Hopefully the pouches or posters come back as I have enough coins left for either one.

I'll probably pick up a Zelda one, I have one of these cases from before with the Zelda insert on it and really like the looks of the new one, it does suck that they raised the points for it though

Yeah, I'm still sad I missed out on this set of Zelda posters, especially since I've ordered almost all of the other posters CN has had

Would love to pick up another case, but I just can't.  I'm down to 225 (thanks to the Luigi statue), and don't want to burn any codes until the rollover since my stack is getting short.

I have exactly 1500 coins. The day I got to that total they ran out of the Luigi Statue. Any chance that will come back or should I spend some coins on the Zelda case?

I was on same boat on you, honestly I don't think Luigi statue will be back, because it is not even listed as "currently unavailable" so I'd definitely get a cool 3ds case before they get sold out!

Ahhh, Club Nintendo.  I registered almost 400 points in 2009, watched them expire and wondered how anyone could spend enough to make this worthwhile and get Elite yearly.  I saw the Zelda 3DS game case and suddenly got right back on board.  I bought a 3DS recently and went on a little game spree.

Zelda game case ordered!

Here I thought I would have all those coins forever.  I nabbed a Mario hat case to jam my 3DS XL into and a Zelda game case.  Would have loved a Pikmin one, oh well!

Registered a few codes I wasn't planning on using until next year since I want FZero too, just need to wait on a few post play surveys and I'll have enough.

that zelda game case is so sexy, picked one up even though i only own 3 3ds games lol

i also got those zelda posters back then and they are still OOS. they look so sexy on my wall

#ujelly?

#yeaujelly

How is this cheaper than free?
A lot of people would rather save up coins for something like a luigi statue instead of spending on items you can get similar stuff for cheap. If you don't value your coins at all, I will gladly take all your codes. :)

Does the XL fit in the mario hat case? I don't think it does but I could be wrong.

Just letting you guys know, if you guys title your listing on ebay as "Club Nintendo 3DS Game Case - Legend Of Zelda Series"

The buyers will eat it all up lol, prices vary from 29.99 to 34.99

You can sell them in advance also, just let the buyer know.

When I was selling my old zelda games, I was pretty surprised how much hits it got lol.

Hopefully it isn't considered  a bad thing to sell your CN codes on CAG

If it is I'm sorry :( Lol

Yeah, and the Zelda posters are $50-$70.

I have no idea what you're going on about.

Personally, I think CDs are a bad choice, they should offer digital downloads of the OSTs.

Don't forget, though: Club Nintendo only loves Japan. We're their red-headed 3rd son.

In for a Zelda case, surprised it hasn't sold out yet. For those who are still confused like I was when I first saw them: You get 3 different inserts with each case. They should have called it Zelda/Bullet Bill & Animal Crossing/Mario&Luigi. That would make it more obvious.
i mean in american -_- thats jap only when it comes to america IF it does i want to have the points just like i had the points for luigis mansion figurine

Sadly, America has never gotten any of Japan's soundtracks. Not the redeemable-with-coins ones, anyways. Lucky for me, I can easily pick up the Super Mario 3D World and Kirby discs over the next couple months via Yahoo auctions.

Ok folks...new Nintendo user here. Besides the registration codes that come with new games, how can you get coins?

It's very odd that Club Nintendo supports Europe so well considering the US is their biggest market. As for the discussion regarding CD's, it's unbelievable that they can't produce them here. They're just CD's. There's tons of those things produced every year and it's one of those highly automated processes that reduces overhead costs. It's probably cheaper to make that than those stupid Kirby patches.

Each time you register a game's code, there is a follow up survey (usually after a week you register) for an additional 10 coins. There are also ITB (intend to buy) surveys you can fill out before a game is released. Any digital game purcahsed from the eShop also has a post-play survey you can fill out also. There's also a thread in the trading section to buy/sell/trade your codes.

That's what bums me out about last years platinum reward. I mean I love Zelda and all but the Luigi statue is better then that and it was a regular reward that was way over priced.

The luigi statue is equal to hitting platinum 2 in a half times. At least the Kirby coin from 2012 was priced fair at 600 coins and I was able to get that.

The only reason the Luigi statue didn't sell out as fast as the Kirby coin is the amount of coins it was. Probably.

How durable is the 3DS cases? cause I was considering it cause I do love Zelda in general but not sure considering I already have a padded power a Nintendo case that holds 24 games already and that the coin cost seem pretty high and also in the pictures it seemed kind of flimsy but it could be just me

And Also how come we never get any of the big statues here in the states like the Zelda Twilight Princess Golden Statue that Nintendo EU got a few years ago? we got luigi yes but it was small compared to the Zelda one which was huge

Geez, I was all disappointed about the games being extra-lame this month, then I click on this thread and...

"3DS Game Cases back in stock"

IN FOR 10. OF EACH.
