Have:  800 points on my wii that I could redeem for a game to send to you + whatever

Tetris Axis for 3ds
few other things I can't think of at the moment.

 
Is it possible to "test" a club nintendo code without redeeming it? My friend gave me an extra Fire Emblem code but I don't know if it's valid and I don't need it because I already have one. I plan on selling it in addition to the other one I'm selling but I want to make sure it's a good code first. Any tips? Thanks!

I am pretty sure there is no way to check them. People have mentioned putting the code into Club Nintendo without being logged into an account. It doesn't work though, I have tested it with an unused code and a used code and both of them give the same page as response.
