What is early regestration? Within what time frame?
I think.. don't know exactly but

intend to buy is for a few days, about 2/1 week before release.

then early reg is for the week of the first release.

not sure, but that's what I've seen.

and the post play comes like week after or 2 weeks... takes awhile.
Dude, you certainly do beg for a lot of free stuff on these boards.
I plan on compensating for the codes. I am just seeing who has them. How is that begging?

I am going to regester my copy of Resort tonight. Gotta try it out.

Well I registered my copy of WSR two days ago, and I did click "intend to play". So I guess I'll get a post-play survey later.

Thanks for all the responses. Next up is Metroid Trilogy. :D
Post-play surveys come 30 days after registration, or that is what it has been for me.
Are you sure? I could have sworn it was 6 weeks...?

Please PM me if you have any of them!
If people had these games, why wouldnt they just register the codes themselves? Do people just have an abundance of extra codes that they are holding onto to trade?

I decided to use my points for the Game and Watch Collection for DS, which came in the mail yesterday. It's fun enough, but a little light on features, but for free you can't complain.

@spmahn

I have a few extra codes, and others do too. Nothing's wrong with swapping.

BTW- I currently have in stock:

Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes A Day,
42 Clubhouse Games,
Super Mario Strikers,
The LEgend of Zelda: Twilight Princess,
Mario Kart Wii,
Super Smash Bros. Brawl.

If interested, PM me!

Where do you get extra codes from, unless your buying multiple copies of games, or stealig the registration cards from used cases on the shelf at Gamestop

Can we keep the trading crap out of this thread? It's been posted several times there's a thread for that, and it gets kind of annoying since I'm sure some of us are watching this thread for useful/discussion information.
Where do you get extra codes from, unless your buying multiple copies of games, or stealig the registration cards from used cases on the shelf at Gamestop
My brother has a Wii too. We have one account- and do not need the extra codes. We do tend to get the same games too.
My brother has a Wii too. We have one account- and do not need the extra codes. We do tend to get the same games too.
Why are you both buying the same games then? Why not open a second account?

So I've already hit 650 points for 2009-2010 and still have about 15 post-play surveys to fill out. I'm contemplating on creating a second account so that next year I might have a chance at getting both platinum rewards, or at the very worst I have one platinum, one gold. I should've registered the last few titles already on a second account, and used up my surveys but I didn't realize I was already that close.
Look at the expire dates on the surveys some are really far out there so you may not even have to do them this year
That is what I am doing. I am trying to hoard surveys.

I'm pretty much decided I'm going to start a second account and go for double platinum. With all my trading, and with upcoming purchases (there's a ton of good Nintendo stuff coming out!) I think I should have no problem getting to platinum again before the CN year is out, and I really wish I'd had double platinum this year as I'd have liked to have gotten both prizes. In order to do this what do I have to do? Provide a different mailing address or is it adequate just to use a different email address when signing up?

EDIT: also, can you change the account your Nintendo download store account is tied to, to the new one? I'm expecting to buy a bunch of stuff in the store and so it would be superb if I could move my link to the new account. Or would they balk at that?

You do not technically own any of the downloadable games. You purchase a liscence to play it. If you change your My Nintendo account on your Wii- it will destroy your old account and make anything purchased, EVER, unplayable.

Do what I did. Have you main account but dont fill out as many surveys. Save them up. That way you can get platinum this year, and next.

Also, make a seperate account with all double codes.

The Pepsi Wii Points already gave me approx... 100 coins.

Woah! Thanks for clueing me in on that!

The more I think about it, the more I think I should've taken Doc Louis' Punch-Out. I wonder if I could call and complain to have it changed.

BTW, I got my Hanafuda cards like 2 after ordering them. I haven't opened the inner box they came in, but the thing is small.

The what now? Please elaborate! Or did I miss yet another awesome freebie type thing?

FYI, all need to do for a second account is provide a different email address (and username). It didn't complain about the identical snail mail address. I've got my 2nd account started and have 130 points already, with 30 more to come from post plays. If you start a second account too, be sure to take advantage of intend to buy on your second account too.

I have a second account like this as well. Literally a seperate screenname and e-mail but with the same address.

I recently learnned that an account can be broken into sub accounts to add up to 4 of any code. The drawback is that you can only get Platinum/Gold once. The benifit is having a massive amount of points on the same account.

Decisions.. decisions....

Sign up the sub-accounts as "child" (
Wait are you saying you can register the same code 4 times or just 4 different codes for the same game?
4 different codes for the same game, but on the same account.

Right, so you have one "Family" account with your main UN/PW, then 3 additional Child accounts, each having their own UN/PW, but the 3 child accounts do not require an email or postal address.

Bob1
Child1
Child2
Child3

In this case, you could register Wii Music 4 times (though you'd need 4 unique codes - get them from friends, trading, etc). All the points would pool into Bob1's account. Child1..3 can each do the Intend to Buy, post-play surveys, etc. So theoretically, you'd only need to trade codes if you have more than 4 codes for any single game. Child1..3 each have their own username (Child1, Child2, etc) and password - though you could make all the passwords the same.

So then the only question would be whether to set up these child accounts or create a completely separate account(s) to try and get multiple Platinum/Gold prizes.

I'll be up to 210 on my second account later today, having another DS game to register (another copy of Rhythm Heaven). I figure it should be no problem getting to platinum again by next July, but I wish I'd thought to do this a while ago as I'm already up to 800 on my first account and with post-plays yet to come and future Wii and DSi shop purchases, I could have put some of those reg cards I used toward the second account. Oh well.

On my first account I ordered the Hanafuda cards and I'm looking forward to their arrival, though my kids are unimpressed at the thought. :)
If I register a game can one of my friends then register that same game and code on his account?
No - it'll tell you "this code has already been redeemed."

I also want to remind everyone that if they are at platinum status and have not selected their reward yet, you have today and tomorrow to do so. I'm not sure what happens after that - I guess you just don't get anything.

So get to it if you've been waiting until now.

I got a confusing email from Nintendo. I ordered the Hanfuda cards and then a bit later got an email, but it talked about the "Elite Status Reward". I'm not sure if that's a coincidentally timed notice about the Mario Hat, or if it's just the Hanafuda cards. Either way it is a ways off yet:

Your Club Nintendo Elite Status reward order has been accepted.

Your reward will be delivered by November 1, 2009. You will receive
an email when your order ships.

Thanks for supporting Nintendo!

that's just about the hat, i got it too.

I'm still deciding what to get I'm thinking of getting either the calander or the hat. I hope the hat fits me if not I'll just torture my shiba Saya with it and have her pose for pictures, but it'd be nice if I could wear it too.

The punchout wiiware game looks good, but I haven't played the game yet except for the first punch out.

If you're a Platinum member, you can't choose the calendar. It's either the hat or Punch Out!! DLC.

I'm gold so I can chose either the hat, game, or the calander.

I liked the first punchout, but I never tried the new one so I'm not sure how I'll like it.

Atleast if I pick the hat I can take pictures of me wearing it and my two dogs wearing it then after that I'd put it with the rest of my collectible stuff. I hope it fits if not ah well.

Gold is less than platinum. You can only select the calendar
Meerkat - gold members get the calendar. They can't choose the Mario hat or punchout DLC.
Haha, ya beat me to it!

I've been putting off choosing because of my ridiculously slavish commitment to 'rarity'. I haven't played Punch-Out!, so I have no real connection to the Doc Louis fight, but that little part of me is just going 'Yeah, but you can't get the Punch-Out! stuff anywhere else... you can always just buy the hat later on Ebay.'

It's problematic, especially since buying the hat currently is $40-50 (which, surely, will go down after it's released in NA). There's really no point to this post, more just throwing it out there. Anyone else in the same boat?

LOL ok I was thinking for some reason I could chose one prize from the list since I was gold ah well. Calander should be nice, but I would've liked the game or hat I guess now game more since the hat can be bought on ebay..

Thanks for the correction.

Yeah, I had pretty much the same though process. Settled on the Punch-Out dlc figuring I could buy the hat sometime down the line.

Same for me, but I chose punchout just because I didn't feel like finding a spot in the closet to store the hat, and don't anticipate it being worth too much in the future anyway. Although I usually prefer collectibles. If it was something smaller like the Toys R Us Mario Galaxy coin, I may have went for it, but the hat is just a halloween costume.

Has anyone figured out yet what the maximum number of coins is that you could conceivably have by this point assuming you've registered every single game eligable? I think I'm pretty close to having registered every game except for a few rarities like Endless Ocean and Fire Emblem Wii and a handful of DS games, and I topped out so far at just around 2000 coins. Will Nintendo ever provide additional ways to earn coins besides buying games, because at the rate Nintendo releases new first party product, some of us will end up running out of coins pretty quick.

spmahn - I've had a total of 3010 coins, still have several post-play surveys to do. Don't forget about all of the downloadable stuff on WiiWare and DSiWare.

Thanks to those who explained the whole sub-account thing. I was able to make use of a couple codes and add to my coin hoard. After postplays, I'll break the 800 mark. Yay!

Let's see... what awesome prizes can I score? Waitaminnit... I don't own a DS and have no use for G&W Collection... Or any of these DS game holders! Dang it, Nintendo!
