Yay finally worked for me. Did 800 points worth of surveys to hit platinum and get G&W.

Got another 620 points of surveys waiting for next year, barring some great item that shows up in the store before then.

How often is the Japanese store updated? I'm just trying to get an idea of how long these items will be available.

Don't know whether I should just save my 620 points for something else, or if I should spend them now?
I don't have a DS or Wii right now lol
Might grab a DSi whenever they hit the states, but I will likely pass on that too

Only good prizes are the 800 point ones :(

I registered a TON of games back in the day- and now i can take surveys on lots of them. I've already broken the 600 point barrier, and i'm not even halfway done.

So I have a question related to the expire dates on my survey- is that when the survey expires? or the points from it expire?

Should I wait on doing the other surveys? so that i can take the easy route to platinum membership next year? or just do them now?
Have you tried deleting your cookies yet boo? Flush DNS maybe? Hell it can't hurt.
Yes to that also.
On my PC at home, and 2 at work.

It finally works... but none of my games from MyNintendo transferred over. I know most wouldn't count but I register Zelda PH and that's not there either.

Is there something I have to do to transfer my registered games from MyNintendo?

The rewards kind of suck right now, but the good news is I'm only one Wii game away from platinum status. Of course, the way things have been going, I can't say when I will get another Wii game. I would probably get the Game and Watch Collection if I had the coins, but it's not exactly a must have item. I liked the Mario DS card and stylus set when Japan got it like 2 years ago, but I already have the styluses from Brain Age 2 and a much better card case from Penguin United. Oh yeah, and I already have a Hori DS case too. Nice Try, Nintendo.

Wait, I thought we got coins for registering AND coins for doing the survey?

Because I only get coins for doing surveys once I register something.

You only get coins after you do the surveys for the games that you have registered.

I don't know if it's been answered, but as for the "Product Registration Survey Expires ..." wording, it seems to be valid for 5 years after the release date of the game.

Are you getting the "Welcome to Club Nintendo. Transferring your My Nintendo account to Club Nintendo is easy, but we may need some additional information to complete the process. Please click "Join Club Nintendo Now" to continue. NOTE: Make sure to provide the email address associated to your My Nintendo account to successfully transfer your account."

I took a break from the AC board to look in over here because I can't log in either. I keep getting that message too even though I transferred the account and I know it's the correct e-mail. I e-mailed Nintendo and it did not help. I have never been able to log in.

It can't be.
I have IE7 and FF3. I have them both on my PC and tried each one. I've cleared cache/cookies. Tried.

I've done the same exact thing at work on 2 separate PC's.

Yep, that's what I'm getting. Over and over and over again. I've tried logging in using IE, Firefox, Chrome...none of them work. I just sent an e-mail to Nintendo, but I doubt that'll help.

Maybe Nintendo Club plotted against you since day one.

"Hey guys, let's screw over lilboo and make sure he doesnt get any of his coins!"

It could happen!

Platinum members get the exclusive Wii hard drive in July, so this makes sense.

I have 810 coins, but I don't know if I want that Game & Watch Collection or not. But then again, these coins are only good until...June 30th I think.

Your coins are good 2 full Club Nintendo years plus whatever is left in the year. The only thing that expires June 30th is your Gold/Platinum status.

meh, I'm getting that welcome error as well, and yes I called nintendo and "danial" said the same ole"its a new site" line :(

I had no problems logging in at 4:30 this morning. I managed to finish all my surveys and edit all my settings. Then at 2 minutes to 8:00, I got booted and couldn't log in again all day until 20 minutes ago.

This is what I got originally when I tried to log in, but then I clicked on the "Join Now" button next to Mario, answered a couple questions, and it transferred my stuff over.

Well, it took 24 hours or so for my registered games to show up, but everything transferred eventually.

I got to enter a code! (before it wouldn't let me do it again) YEA!

Anyway, at least good for us for getting the site. Things will iron out.

I too did that.. at least 7,000 times by this point

Another day, another log in error. I can NOT imagine that at 630am (EST) the traffic is just as high as 7pm EST. It does not make sense. Unless they have like half of a server for this site... :whistle2:(

I got signed in right now. So it might be something wrong with your internet, and my internet is pretty bad. Or Nintendo is personally against you, and they're waiting to bring their Ninjas in against you.

I'm going to try and do this later today. I haven't bought any Nintendo stuff in a while, but I've gotten enought in the past to get quite a few coins.

I can register Wii/DS games but I haven't been able to take my post-play Earthworm Jim survey.

Once all this stuff is up and working, I can totally see it influencing what I buy at least to a small degree. I was browsing the VC list and realized that I'll probably buy Megaman 2 or 3 partially because I want them and at least slightly because I can earn 10 coins for doing the post-play survey.

lilboo, by this point it should be fairly obvious that it's not anything that you're doing, but rather that your login somehow got screwed up in their system.

Have you tried calling them? Don't do email, as you'll probably get a response saying you have to call them anyway to provide any pertinent information.

liboo - try clearning "cookies" in your browser. Perhaps something is munged there? I'd clear the cookies, then try making a new account.

Of course people will try to sell codes and probably some people will buy them on occasion. I doubt anyone will get much, but imagine if someone is, say, 30 points away from Platinum, with a day to go, and they don't want to spend $30 on a game they don't want just to reach Platinum level. I bet they'd be willing to pay somebody, say, $5, maybe more, for a valid DS reg code. So, come June 30th, I think reg codes will be sold.

I've done that. Several times. On all PCs. :(
When I spoke with the rep (both times--2 different people) he said my account did migrate and my account IS fine...there's probably "too much traffic"..which was ok at first, but not now.

I really do think there's something wrong, but if they say "Hmm, well it's fine"..I am pretty SOL.
