I visited a CompUSA in Menlo Park, NJ and found some really good finds in their clearance bin for $12.88. Amongst these gems I found the following:

I got my BIA:Road to Hill 30 on Black Friday for that price (9.99 to be exact). Surprised it's taken that long to come down.

Has anyone outside of the OP's area had any luck with these prices? It seems too good to be true that these prices might be across the board price changes for all CompUSA's.
 
Seems like every CompUSA I go to, their prices are different. A game that's $49.99 at one store will be $9.99 at another. The Taito and Tecmo would be nice for that price. Also does anyone know if the "free remote with PS2 game" apply to these? Getting a free remote is cool I guess, but I don't need it and its probably the $5 3rd party one anyways I would guess. But I didn't check. Sorry to repeat the free remote deal (I'm sure someone must have mentioned it).
 
I went to the CompUSA in White Plains, NY and Heroes of the Pacific(Xbox) rang up $29.99. Guess this is another YMMV sale at CompUSA.

Yeah, it's like Walmart where the clearance is up to the individual store or manager of the store and no 2 stores are likely to have the same clearance deals if any
 
Actually I went to my store and they have tons of racks of games on sale although I had them run a few through the computer and they all rung up 14.88.
 
I bought a whole bunch of stuff today. Went in for a midnight madness hard drive, ended up leaving the hard drive behind because i bought too many games. The highlight had to be all the "you're a retard" and "you're crazy" and "get a job" looks from about 50 customers and 4 employees while I was waiting in line with my cart.

I'd never even heard of the last two, so I picked them up out of curiosity.

there were probably 20-30 different ps2 games, a couple dozen xbox, and pretty much nothing for gamecube (about 10 copies of catwoman) :whistle2: (

there was also a ps2 time crisis + gun controller for $19.99, didn't know if that was hot or not.

Agree. Went today looking for great deals, but most things rung up at $14.98 or just over 10 bucs, but nothing at 5 bucs or less...very YMMV

I'm not going to make the 20 - 30 minute trip for nothing if the selection is pretty shitty.
 
Man, I hate these posts! Now I have to decide if I want to swing by the local CompUSA, only to find they have nothing good on sale, as usual.

Ouch. The former is worth about a penny per dragon. Maybe. It has the distinction of being the lowest rated console game on Metacritic. Of all rated games, only 5 PC games did worse. I'd never heard of Stake either, but that's because it scored a 26.
I'm strangely compelled by Big Rigs: Over the Road Racing, which scored an 8.

I can't confirm this but judging by what people have posted, if a price ends in an 8, like $4.98, the price will not be YMMV. I think that is the case because someone posted they got Tekken Tag for $4.98 and it is $4.98 on the website (but sold out). Another post had Echo Night Beyond for $4.98 which is also $4.98 on the website (again, sold out).

Eh, for those two examples that are, here are three that aren't. The Warriors (52.99), Dadrkwatch (31.99) and Path of Neo (24.98), which were all reported as 9.88 in this thread.
Maybe 4.98 specifically, but not x.x8 in general.
 
I hit the Sterling Heights MI store near Best Buy and did fairly well. I first went to the game section and found that it was 97% empty. I swore under my breath and asked a sales person where'd the inventory go. It was in a large red square bin (oddly) near the corner of the registers.

And since most of the cases are filled with a computer printouts of the game and not the game, you cant read the binder..you have to manually pull out each case to see the cover. :roll:

Most were mismarked under "Managers Specials" im sure...I got The newest BURNOUT for XBOX ffor 19.99. Darkstalkers for PSP for 23.99 and SPAWN ps2 for 4.98 listed as 9.99.
 
Hit the Manchester, CT store. Lots of stuff, both sides of a rack, but not a great selection. A million copies of Max Payne. I did pick up Metal Arms for 7.98. I was thinking about Brothers in Arms for the same price but didn't get it (I think there was only 1-2 copies). The only 4.98 game was NFL Street, and there wasn't a single GC game to be found (was hoping for Fire Emblem).
